Not only would I recommend Adkins Custom flooring, I intend to hire them again in the fall for 4 more rooms upstairs. The old 1950s-era refinished hardwood in my living and dining room looks even better than I had hoped. The estimate is clear and specific; the cost is slightly higher than other estimates, but we felt it was worth it. In addition, the crew was pleasant, arrived on time, worked hard all day, was respectful of us, our house and property, did a great job of containing the dust and cleaning up. And they worked fast. Our work was completed in 2 days; all other estimates were for 3. We are very satisfied with our flooring.

Timely and within budget.

Customer service excellent and high quality. I have recommended them to friends. Little thing was I was expecting them at 6 pm and they came early, luckily my daughter was there. Also came late one day. But otherwise great service

Ray was very professional and knowledgable. The crew did a great job. They were accommodating and friendly. They left the room clean and neat. Great job.

Poor overall customer service. Lack of clear communication on how long process and cleanup would take. The stain on the floor was what wanted but very sloppy with stain on trim work everywhere and had to press to get any touch ups. Told paid for brand new mounding but terrible condition and excuses as to why, very reluctant to paint/fix. Cleaning was barely done, spent hours doing that ourselves. They taped plastic but it then pulled paint off ceiling, which they did not fix or offer to refund anything. maybe they are used to doing new construction, the lack of detail for everything but the floor just caused added work for us and expense after.

Ray understands the job needs to be a complete success. He made sure covering all the small details to make the project a success.

Ray, and his crew, truly know how to handle 100+ old, heart pine floors and stair treads. This heart pine was under 40 year old carpet, was in rough shape and needed repairs .. not just refinishing! We loved our first floor results so much, that we've decided to have Ray back to refinish our second floor. He is a craftsman -- not just a guy who claims to know how to refinish hardwood floors.

Ray was great, called within 10 minutes of the HA inquiry. Not only did he give a good estimate but suggested a cosmetic thing that really tied the floor together. Best of all it was done in 5 hours. Start to finish was something like 2 weeks.

We had cheaper quotes but specifically chose Ray because he offered the best advice and ideas, and he genuinely cares about the quality of his product; he's also very easy to work with. The floors now look amazing and I'm very glad we repaired several sections where we removed a wall and tile hearth, and decided to refinish a brand new installed floor in the bedroom to match the rest of the house at the last minute. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to anyone looking for refinishing and repairs.

Excellent work, kept on budget and on time. Covered cabinets, doorways and appliances to keep dust down. When completed they was no dust anywhere. Absolutely recommend.

Ray did an amazing job on our floors. First, we ripped up the old carpet and he refinished our floors. He got out some pretty bad stains and even was able to show the grain through those spots. It was like magic! After we moved in and renovated the kitchen, we discovered that were not hardwood floors in the kitchen. Ray came back and matched the wood and stain. I was beyond impressed that he was able to match 60 year old wood with brand new wood. They laid, sanded, refinished and sealed the wood within 1 day! I would recommend them to anyone who wants THE BEST!
