Start to finish, a pleasant experience..

I would highly, highly recommend using this company. From the first phone call, I was treated with nothing but respect and professionalism. The foreman for my job was Pat Bohn, a true professional and gentleman. I needed a good bit of work done to my box gutters and chimney flashing, and after getting 6 or 7 estimates from different companies, I decided to go with New Horizons as their price was by far the most competitive and reasonable, and they also had stellar reviews on AngiesList. As I said, from the start dealing with Pat and his crew was a pleasure. He is a very honest, professional representative of this company, and I would suggest to try and work with him. From the start he gave me honest, forthright answers, and did not try to haggle me into paying more for anything than what needed done. He always returns phone calls promptly, and often would call me unannounced to give me updates on how the job was progressing. The whole crew who worked on my house were all very polite too. My neighbors, who are home all day during the day and had much more interaction with them, even commented on how pleaseant and courteous the crew was. At the job's completion, they all did a fantastic job cleaning up too, which is important to me. We had a lot of work done which made a pretty big mess, but by the time they finished the job you couldn't even tell workers had been there. We had a few delays due to the recent rain, but Pat personally came to the house a few times on rain-out days just to check everything and make sure there wouldn't be any problems since the job was still in progress. And most importantly, the final work product is very good. Once the job was started, the crew came across a lot more work than they'd originally thought; Pat and his crew very graciously went out of their way to do the extra work for me, yet the price we'd agreed upon ahead of time in the contract did not increase and stayed the same. And I know that they did the work they said they did, because the crew took digital camera pictures of the job before, during work in progress at various stages, and after completion. I have these pictures in my possesion now too so I can show my home insurance company. All in all, I would very much recommend using New Horizons, particularly working with Pat Bohn. If you want honesty, quality, professionalism, courtesy, respect shown for your home, and very reasonable pricing, they are the company to go with.

He promptly called us back after we left a message. We asked if he could make an appointment with us in the evening, which he did, and was very punctual. He carefully described his company's services, the types of siding options for our home and his recommendations. He also did this for the windows. He was very informative and friendly. I believe him to be very honest. He was not trying to sell us more than we needed, but what was most appropriate for what we wanted to accomplish, and in keeping with the type of homes in our neighborhood. We ended up selecting another contractor to do a small porch for us for pricing reasons only, but may still call him in the future when ready to do siding and windows.

We got several bids. They were the first company to contact us and come to our house for an estimate. Their prices were very competitive. They started on the day they were scheduled. The crew was very punctual and at the end of each work day, they totally cleaned up any residue. We were very pleased with the overall appearance and the workmanship on the job. We would definitely recommend this company.

My experience with New Horizons was excellent from Day 1. When I called their main office, I immediately spoke with a representative who listened to my problem(s). He was very knowledgeable and explained the various options that I would have, and let me know that someone would be calling me to set up an appointment to come look at my gutters. The follow-up phone call happened that same day, and I had an appointment scheduled that week for someone to come out and provide an estimate. Pat Bohn was the gentleman that met with me to walk around the house and inspect the damages. Pat was very polite, straight forward, and honest throughout the whole process. He explained each option to me and the pros/cons of each one. He recommended a solution for me that he personally would do for his own house (were he in my situation). I was surprised to find out it was not the most expensive option, either. I could have chose to rebuild the whole box gutter system from scratch, but he did not recommend that option at all unless I really wanted it done that way. I respected his honesty in this situation. The contract was written up very clearly and Pat walked me through the whole process that they would do each step of the way. The up front cost was approximately 50% of the total cost of the project. This was used to purchase materials, etc. The time frame to start the work was to be within 2 weeks and the work was supposed to take 2-3 days. They were able to start work within 1 week, and the work took 4 days. The work took a bit longer to complete due to the extreme heat that week (it was 100 degrees a couple of the days) and it was not safe to work up that high (I have a 3-story house and a very steep roof). Pat did call me to explain why the workers were sent home that day and I was 100% ok with his reasoning behind doing so. He also called me to check up on the progress and to see if I had any questions or concerns. The workers (about 4 of them) showed up very promptly at my house before 8AM each morning and were all courteous to my home and the surrounding yards. They installed SEAMLESS gutters and one of the pieces was over 40-feet long. Very impressive work to ensure that there would be no leaking any time soon. Upon completion of the work, Pat called me to ask again if I needed anything else or had any questions. He scheduled a time for him to come out to the house and do a final walk-around with me. He made himself available around my schedule which was very nice, we did the walk-around within a few days, he performed some small touch-up work that he noticed/pointed out to me as part of his own quality control, and we signed off on the completion of the work in the contract. I also paid the remainder of the money owed with no overages or supplemental costs to what we agreed upon in the contract. I would definitely do business with New Horizons again, and I plan on calling them back to do the interior part of the work associated with the old gutter damages.

The workmanship was excellent and the service was prompt. Everyone was very courteous and friendly. We've had neighbors we didn't even know very well comment on how wonderful the door looks.

Had a nice phone conversation with a man who scheduled someone to come out to give an estimate. This second man called me to confirm, which we did, and I never heard from him again. Nor did he return my phone messages.

It turned out very well. He was willing to work with me because I didn't have the money to replace the whole roof. He went out of his way to match the shingles. I didn't realize I had three different types of shingles on my roof and he worked with me and my budget to make it look nice.

The work was professionally done in a timely manner. Nothing to complain about.

We ended up going with someone else just because the rates were lower, but I had a good experience with this provider.

They were professonal and very honest. They said what needed to be done and it got done. I would definitely call them again for services. They did a great job. My roof looks a whole lot better.

NEW HORIZONS HOME EXTERIORS & WINDOW CO New Horizons Home Exteriors & Windows, had put a window in our bathroom on the second floor that we did not like and they came and looked at it and agreed with us and replaced it at no extra charge. He was very thorough, his estimates are easy to understand, overall they did a really good job and cleaned up after themselves. It was either the end of November or early December, it was freezing cold out and they tried to accommodate us as much as possible by getting the windows in as quickly as possible. They did a really good job and we really appreciated what they did for us.

They were very effecient, professional, and clean. I would highly recommend them for roofing work.

Overall, we were very pleased with the work. I had used New Horizon's previously for all new windows in 2010, and after speaking with a number of contractors for the roof replacement we decided to go with New Horizons again. They price was about in the middle, reasonable for the amount of work they did. Process was simple and Rod was patient with us as we made our final decisions on material and color. He is helpful during this process and gives honest opinions, if asked. Once the work began it took a little longer than expected to complete, but it was done correctly in the end which was most important to us. The workers did damage a window and grill cover, but Rod replaced them with no hassle at all. Very pleased.

I have not engaged them because I have not made up my mind yet. It is a roof damage situation so I will decide based on what other quotes come in and what the insurance company will approve. One person came out and took measurements on the roof then they sent me a quote in the mail. He was a nice guy and seemed to know what he was doing so that is the limit of my involvement with this company at this time.

I got a quote from this company after seeing them in Clipper magazine and on Angie's List. The gentleman that came out was very friendly and gave me a full explanation of how their windows worked and what I needed. I chose another brand of windows instead but if I need some other work done this company would definitely be in the running. There was no competitive mode to their sales pitch and that is what I liked about them. They put their best foot forward even though they realized they were in a competitive situation. The man who came out seemed to be honest and followed his call with an email containing very helpful information.

We discovered New Horizons at the Remodeling Expo and made an appointment with Rodney to discuss replacement of the siding on the second story of our home and to cover the T-111 around our sunroom, to replace the door to the sunroom, and to replace shutters. Rodney carefully evaluated the current condition of our home - especially around the sunroom where there appeared to be issues with water infiltration where the deck meets the room. He was also very helpful in explaining the various options available and possible solutions to the water issues. He also was very patient and helpful when we were deciding on colors for the siding and shutters. As we were talking, I also asked about the possibility of having the ceiling on the porch and the porch columns replaced. Since both of us were not available at the initial meeting and we had some questions, Rodney was willing to come back out and speak with us to answer all of our questions. In our discussions, it was very apparent that he wanted to do a quality job for us including fixing the water issues. During this last discussion, we also asked that he include an estimate for replacing the surface of our deck in the estimate. We appreciated the no-pressure approach, and the willingness to explain the available options. The work started on time and was completed in a timely manner. The work crews were personable and efficient. An issue was discovered with the deck support structure - and we were asked how we wanted to proceed - we really appreciated the chance to get the support fixed instead of just covered up. Extra care was taken to water issues and prevent infiltration in the future. We were contacted during the work progress to see if there were any issues - and at the end to see if there was anything outstanding. Additionally, Rodney came out and inspected the work - and had the workmen come back and change some areas to his satisfaction (we didn't see that there were any issues - but he wanted the job done right). We are extremely pleased with the result. Neighbors have commented about how good the house looks, and about the color combination (that Rodney helped me choose). We will be having this company back to do further work in the future.

I selected three reputable companies from Angie's List and made appointments with all three to come to my home to look at the project and give bids. I asked that the bids be broken into separate bids because I was not sure what the bids would be for each project versus the money I was able to spend. I thought highly of all three companies however, New Horizons appeared to me to be more receptive and flexible. Rodney, pres. of the company, met with me took measurements, wrote up the bid, explained in detail, offered suggestions. I really wanted to get all the projects bundled into one barring finances, Rodney was wiling to work with me on price so that I was able to get all the projects bundled and done at the same time, after being able to borrow a little extra from the bank. I really did not wait all that long for the work to begin, maybe a few weeks, but when they started they were here a total of seven days to complete all work.. New Horizons did use Trinity Home Exteriors for the job, Joe, Chuck and Rob were FABULOUS!!! Very professional, skilled, informative, and personable. I can't say enough about the beautiful job they did on the gutters/downspouts, soffit and vinyl siding. Before the job was even complete neighbors were already complimenting on how nice it looked. Each morning they would arrive by 7am and put in a full day of labor intensive work. Rodney checked in often to make sure I was happy with the work being done and came out after completion when I had a few questions (one downspout was positioned in such a way that I could not open a side door). They very next morning Joe and Chuck were back to fix the downspout. I would recommend them to anyone, and have been. On a side-note for other folks having work done at their house in the heat of summer.......the night before work began (and every evening before they would be back the next day) I made sure I had a cooler filled with ice, that contained bottled water, soda and gatorade for the guys because it was so hot and they would not have to worry about keeping hydrated. Yes, I'm sure you're thinking they should bring their own, however, it is a nice offering for the guys doing work on your home. Rodney, Joe, Chuck and Rob were fabulous to deal with from beginning to end. HIGH RECOMMENDATION!!!

It was a positive experience. Joe quoted us the job. He was very helpful. He was competitive with other quotes that we received. He was willing to negotiate a bit. It took a while for the work to start, because of the horrible winter we had in 2010. Once the work started, it took them about a week to finish. The guys who came out to do the actual work were very friendly and professional. They did a pretty good job cleaning up. Just make sure to sweep up after them. They left one nail and of course, it punctured my tire. We did have one problem this year with water coming in around the window trim. They promptly came out and fixed it.

We had an excellent experience with New Horizon from start to finish. We worked with Joe Tamino. He came out and gave us an estimate, and there was no high pressure sales pitches--like we had from other contractors. He gave us an approximate starting date and started a week ahead of the scheduled date. His work crew was very courteous, and we were very pleased with the finished product. All our neighbors were impressed with the finished job! It is early in the winter, but so far, we are satisfied with the quality of the windows.

I thought the estimate was a little high so I just went with a contractor that we had already used. They were very nice and very knowledgeable. The price probably wasn't out of line with what other window contractors were charging. I just went with a private contractor who bought the windows directly and installed them. He has installed about 2/3 of our windows. I had a viable less expensive option where I was able to do more windows.

New Horizons was a professional experience from start to finish. Even though their price wasn't the cheapest we found, it also wasn't the most expensive. We felt it was fair and there wouldn't be surprise charges after the job started...and we were right. The quote was exact. They didn't leave a mess inside or out. I've seen roofers leave a ton of nails around the yard and they took the time to clean those up as well. We are so happy with the windows and our new screen door and how they make the house look new again. Their recommendations were taken on all steps of the process and we were happy with them. The skylights came in wrong with a frosted white glass and they had them replaced within a few weeks of the mistake and let us keep the mistake ones just in case something were to happen in the future with our new skylights. Overall, we are happy with the service and have since recommended them to our friends.

I didn?t use their services to get the work done. Their price was higher and they weren?t going to do as much work. There were lesser shingles. They didn?t have a warranty on the installation. The people who came out to give me the quote were fine. They were as good as any other company just to talk to. I just had one interaction with them. They weren?t as good as the other company. I wouldn?t use their services again.
