Mullen Heating and Air Conditioning

John and his assistant arrive on the first day around 7am. he had taken care of the permit and marked off the area he needed to dig a trench for the wire from the house to the backyard where the deck and pond is located. The trench was 1 ft x 2ft x 20 ft. He and his assistant dug it over two days. John created a connection with the electrical box inside the basement and attached a outlet on the deck and on the fence post near the pond. he placed them so they would be hidden from view and were accessible. he placed warning tape inside the trench so if anyone in the future were to dig in that area, they would see the tape and know there was a wire in there. he placed the wire into a sleeve (I think it is called a conduit) and secured all transition points. He made sure the electric box could take on the electrical load. he and his assistant replaced the dirt and cleaned up the entire area. he kept me informed and explained each step of the way. Each day he arrived early and worked on the project until it got dark. he informed me when he would return the next day and what needed done.

John is a nice guy, and he did everything I asked. The iron railings were re-attached and the support beam was stabilized by adding a few composite shims and then cementing around the base. This was a relatively small job and only took about 90 minutes. I would not hesitate to use John again, with only one qualification. It did require multiple phone calls, and several months, for him to clear his schedule and complete the task. I was willing to wait due to it being a small job, but I would set a time deadline for any future work.

John was very nice and did a very good, thorough job There was a surprise however, since he takes an "assistant" everywhere and the deal did not disclose that I'm not getting all of his time but rather 1/2 or 2/3 of his time. I had to ponie up an extra $50 so he could finish the job (my honey-do list) in the allotted time (which is what I thought I was getting in the first place with the deal)

Our clothes dryer suddenly stopped working. The heat was OK but it was no longer spinning. We found John Mullen on Angie's List. My husband called him late in the day on a Thursday. John happened to be near our neighborhood and stopped over within about 30 minutes of the call. He checked the dryer,gave my husband a quote, and took one of the parts so he knew what to buy. He came back on Saturday afternoon to make the repairs. Repairs took around two hours. In addition to the repairs he re-vented the dryer for us. John's quick turn-around time for doing the work prevented us from having to go to a laundromat. We will definitely call upon him again if needed.

Provider call to let me know he was arriving in 10 minutes. John was prompt, courteous and knowledgeable. He identified the problem right away, confirmed that the amount it was going to cost was suitable to me. He left to obtain the part, returned directly. Completed the installation within minutes. I am very pleased to have met him! His business card says "Built upon integrity"... and his service shows that is true.

I purchased a Big Deal as did several other people so John was very busy and we had a little difficulty finding time to complete the job. John did apology and once we finally connected the work that was performed was satisfactory. I didn't like the fact that their was no clean up after the job was completed;however, John did call latter to arrange some time to clean up the mess, but once again it was hard to schedule a time conducive to our schedule so we just cleaned up ourselves. John was a very nice guy, but overextended himself. I think he would have done a more thorough job had he not done so.

John knows his stuff. We purchased a deal coupon for an hour of his time, however and were expecting the two jobs to be completed in that time frame as per his own estimate. But the ceiling fan installation took longer than expected and we ended up paying a fair bit more than we had estimated. However the job was done well. We would use this provider again.

was to return and put back a vent frame that he wasn't able to do that night, but he never called back or returned. A few spots on the vinyl baseboard did not adhere with the adhesive he used as well.

I had a 2 hr. coupon but I don't remember what it cost me. They finished it all in 1:55 minutes. I was very pleased with the service. It just took awhile for them to return the call to schedule an appointment initially. I would use them again.

In our house that is older, we had a bathroom door that would not close because it did not fit into the frame. Also, the door was not the original one in that place so the strike plate and handle were not on the same level. John and another worker came and worked on it. It took them a little longer than anticipated (and that we had paid for through the Big Deal) but they didn't charge us extra. They did good work, and our bathroom door went from unusable to solidly usable.

It went smoothly and efficiently. He gave me a free estimate. He came out immediately to get the estimate. He and his crew were extremely professional. They went above and beyond the call of work.

Very well just too pricey to use again.

I purchased a big deal from him and have been back and forth with the company but have been unable to reschedule anything. He was very reasonable but we were unable to schedule.

We called, left a message, got a return call a few days later, when we explained what was needed. We were told to call the service & leave a message, that was never returned. We are in search of another provider.

They were responsive and fixed it good.

I did not think that he was very efficient. I ended up paying more than the deal offer. I ended up paying $350 for something that should have taken less time.

John was extremely professional, the job was perfect, cleaned up before he left. I would definitely hire him again.

John Mullen was not only on time, he was early. He and his helper were efficient and wasted no time. They cleaned up after themselves and got rid of the old mailbox, locks, etc. They were friendly and totally professional and courteous. I will definitely hire them again and have already recommended them to friends.

While John was there he offered to inspect our furnace and filter to make sure everything was in working order free of charge. He was on time, very polite and knowledgeable in all aspects of handy man work. I would highly recommend him. He is fair and honest when it comes to pricing and I will definitely be calling in again.
