He was very nice....he checked out other things in my home that were not a part of my work order, and gave me advice and told me he would come back again free of charge since I did not utilize his services for the whole 2 hours I paid for.

Company's initial response was prompt. Kept to schedule and courteous. Would use again.

Responded promptly when called. On time and prepared. Took longer than anticipated and cost escalated. Additional cost seemed high. Work was well done.

My experience with John Mullen Home Repair was okay. They were very nice and professional.

The work was done quickly and he cleaned up afterwards. I have hired John before, he is always pleasant and does a good job.

Fantastic job, showed up on time and did great work

Mr. Mullen checked, cleaned, oiled, and tried to fix some balky exhaust fans. He also did a few other things around the house, including checking some non-working space heaters; he did not spend a lot of time on these as he said that it would cost us less to buy new ones than to have him fix the old ones. He is pleasant, honest, and professional and definitely tried to save us money while doing everything correctly.

John performed an annual furnace cleaning and inspection. In addition to cleaning and inspecting the furnace, he gave me a pack of furnace filters free of charge. John is very courteous and professional, and I would use him again to service my furnace.

I have used John Mullen several times for various handyman projects. He was very reliable and does quality work.

After purchasing the Big Deal, John called/emailed a few times to set up the appointment, which was great- took me a little while to get back to him. I did not have a hard deadline for my tasks, so we played it by ear, and he called when he had some time free and I happened to be home, and came over to take care of things within the hour. He introduced himself and was very professional. He installed the hooks and helped his assistant install the safety straps. The only negative, and reason for a B instead of A, was that after they left I noticed a couple small chips out of the paint in the bathroom trim, where something had been bumped into apparently, and there was dust/dirt on the floor from some of the work. This is may be standard/common with this sort of thing, but would have been going the extra mile if they had a little broom to sweep up. I would hire him again though.

I really couldn't be happier with Mr. Mullen's work. I own several rental properties, and I consider him one of my "go- to guys" when I need some help.

We had the big deal for 2 hours of work for $69. Mr. Mullen was very responsive to my call. At the scheduled date, Mr. Mullen came on time, with his assistance. He went above and beyond to figure out why the outlets in our bathrooms were having problem over and over again. He worked diligently and carefully, and finally figured out how the wiring goes. It turns out to be very complicated the way the wiring was set originally. But he managed to make it work and fix all the problems. He stayed definitely much longer than 2 hours, but did not request extra payment from the original 2 hours that I have paid for from Angie's List. Mr. Mullen was very pleasant, and provide his expertly advice gladly and clearly. He told me something that I would want done that it will be too costly and suggest an alternative way. We hired him again to rewire the electric outlets to separate the exterior from the bathroom outlets. We were very happy with Mr. Mullen and will definitely hire him again for other services.

I was very happy. He was a very nice man and very capable. He fit me into his schedule when he was busy, which I appreciated.

He's just awesome and really great. He just has a real good understanding of appliances and was very good. I would use him again for anything if he was available, but he seemed to be really busy. He comes out at like at anytime of the night. It was 10:00 at night and he asked if it was okay to come. He had to come back to fix the washer because he had to get a part, but he was very reasonable and I think I actually gave him a $20 tip because I thought his price was so low.

Over the phone I discussed my three areas of concern: the faulty upstairs wall light switch; the diminished water supply to the bathroom on the first floor and the curious stains on the drop down ceiling tiles of the basement. Mr. Mullen was very understanding and accomodating of my crazy work schedule and arrived on the day and time time we had agreed. He was courteous and polite as he walked through my house and stepped over my three cats. He was energetic and optimistic when assessing how to manage the diagnosed problems. He replaced the faulty electrical switch in all of 5 minutes. He addressed the source of a leak as an improperly installed upstairs toilet. Then he diagnosed the problem with the water flow to the bathtub as possible corroded pipe fittings but would need to open the access panel to be sure. He was clear in hisexplanation of the plan of repairs and went to the hardware store for the supplies he needed. He was back to my house within the hour and went straight to work and did not stop until the jobs were complete. His work is beautiful: clean and done correctly. He was very considerate of my home and my time.

John called back at noon, was in the area, and came at 1:00. Quality honest work. That evening, fans weren't working with the remote. John came back the next day, Sunday morning. The installation was fine...just needed to figure out complicated remote system. Within a half hour, problem was resolved at no charge. During the installation, I was on the phone with plumbers re: a future bathroom remodel. John mentioned expertise in Heating and HVAC (need to ductwork for the remodel), and he works closely with a plumber. Offered to take a look at the project and is coming out with the plumber to give us a bid this week. Very professional and honest company.

Longer than expected but company very thorough & worked towards perfection

He replaced a condensate pump, tubing and humidifier pad. He also noted some other things we might want to fix. Quality work. Honest guy. Highly recommended.

After a blip in scheduling, he came on time (actually a little early) and very efficiently installed replacement fans in two rooms and installed a replacement shower head. He cleaned up afterwards and took all the trash away. He was very knowledgable, personable and efficient. I would definately use him again.

John missed the first appointment, emergency in the family. Was to arrive at 7:30, didn't call until 3:00. I canceled the appointment. He contacted me again and came on time. John work is impecable. His work ethic great. The lockset and hinges were beautiful.

I was very happy with my experience. John came by and spent about 30 mins taking apart my machine and reading the tech sheet to try and identify what appeared to be an electrical problem. He was honest and said that he had never worked on my specific model and apologized for taking a few minutes to fully understand the electrical system. After narrowing down the issue to 2 potential parts, he left to call a supplier to get pricing information. Before leaving, I asked how much I owed for stopping by to look at the machine. He said not to worry about it until he knows if he can fix it and how much the parts would be. After ordering the part (which he got at wholesale price, I tried Sears and they wanted $20 more) he called back and set up another appointment. He came back and quickly replaced the part. Instead of just leaving, he waited around while a load of laundry went through a few cycles to make sure the problem was fixed. All together, he stopped by 2 times for diagnostic and repair, he did the parts ordering, and spent about 1 hour at my home, and only charged around $50 labor. As far as I'm concerned, that was more than fair.

They were on time, pleasant, did excellent and job and cleaned up after himself.

The same day that I purchased the Angie's Big deal (for $69) I received a call from John to set up a date for services. Once a date was set, they arrived on time, performed the work promptly. Since we went over the allotted 2 hour time I paide for additional time - but did not mind at all. Their services were well worth it.

He was initally a bit difficult to reach but once reached was flexible. He showed up on time and he and his employee worked on various repair project in my house deligently and without breaks. They cleaned up after working. I was pleased with their work. I purchased 2 hours of work for $69 but used his for 4 hours ( 2 hours for 2 men)which explains the cost

John did a great job cleaning and tuning up the furnace. He also did some extra improvements to the system performance that were above and beyond simple annual furnace check-up call.
