KLEIN'S REMODELING

WHEN Rob and his crew showed up, they did fine work. However, getting them there was a battle. He came out on a Friday to give me an estimate. He said it'd be a several day job and that he could start tomorrow (Saturday). We agreed that he'd be there at 8 a.m. He showed up around 10:30. Only worked a few hours, and then left for the day. He said he'd be back Sunday morning around 9 a.m. On Sunday around 11 a.m. he called to ask if he could come Monday instead. We purposely stayed home and canceled activities to wait for him, so this was frustrating. Each day after he showed up whenever he felt like it. We needed to coordinate this job with a carpet installer to reinstall the carpet that had been pulled back. On Monday, Rob said he could do the carpet part for us and we all agreed he would. Wednesday evening he completed the closet and I paid him for the initial job and he said he'd be back Thursday at 11 a.m. to do the carpet. HE NEVER CAME. NOR DID HE CALL. At 2:30 p.m. on Thursday I called him to ask where he was and he said he'd be out at 3:00 p.m. that day. NEVER DID HE SHOW UP. How incredibly rude. Nor did he apologize. Why on earth would someone tell me they would come to my house and then just never show??? Why couldn't he just look me in the eye on Wednesday and say, "I don't want to do that job," so I could make alternate plans??? I was furious, and tried several times to contact him but he never answered the phone. I am sure it was because he saw it was my number and didn't want to deal with me. So I have to admit that the closet work was good quality work, but my time is too expensive to wait around all day wondering when he's going to finally show up for work. And then to commit to the carpet job and not show was a fiasco. We had a party planned for that weekend and the basement was a mess because the carpet was not tacked down. I would never, ever recommend Rob Klein's Remodeling for work again.
