We recently had a new furnace installed. The contractor recommended a whole house humidifier but we passed because the old one always malfunctioned. That was a big mistake. Our nose and throat were dry and my wife would get nose bleeds. With a little one on the way we wanted to install a humidifier. My wife called JRB after we bought the deal and they were very understanding of us wanting to get it installed before the baby's fast approaching due date and scheduled us quickly. They arrived on time and performed the services as promised. They listened to my wife's concerns about how the previous one always malfunctioned and described how this one worked and that it would be installed differently.

The two gentlemen were very professional and somewhat quiet. I felt very comfortable asking questions.

Requested estimate to replace non-functioning whole house humidifier, promptly offered price on most expensive unit/service available.
Overall, not sure this Angie's List deal was worth it.

Originally the thermostat broke on the furnace and needed to be replaced. JRB replaced the thermostat and the furnace worked for a few days but quit again. They came out an additional two times to troubleshoot the problem without a charge. Each time the furnace would work for a few days but then quit. Finally they came back a third time and indicated it was the gas valve that went bad on the furnace. This part should have cost us a great deal but Jeff was able to work with the manufacturer to reduce the price to approximately $80.00. He had to order the part over a weekend to boot, Jeff called us over the weekend to see if the furnace was working. He helped us troubleshoot and was available far more than we had expected. This is great customer service. As soon as it came in to his distributor on Monday, he picked it up and came right over to replace the old one.

I contacted JRB after reviewing numerous Angie's list reviews which were most favorable. The owner contacted me shortly after receiving my request for service, and set up a time that worked well with my schedule. He examined the system and diagnosed a more serious issue than I had anticipated. Rather than proceeding (this would likely be quite costly), he encouraged me to contact the company that installed the furnace, reassuring me that it would be covered under warranty. I greatly appreciated his punctuality- he arrived when scheduled, and called an hour in advance, as planned. He was most courteous and thorough, and honest in his appraisal. He did not charge anything for the evening service call, diagnosing or time he spent inspecting the problems. He related that he will be happy to do business in the future, and I will not hesitate to call on JRB again. Excellent, professional and honest transaction.

Perfect experience - would recommend highly!

JRB did a fine job, however, they forgot to reset the fuse box after they left. When we tried to use our air conditioner after the installation of the programmable thermostats were installed, it did not work. My husband needed to reset the fuse box for the compressors outside of our home to make the air conditioner work.

Everything went well. The service was quick, professional, and friendly.

I still hope to contact them or to hear from them and get my money's worth.

On the positive, the gentlemen were kind and professional, came when they said that they would, wore covers over their shoes. 
I did not appreciate that my own backup furnace filter was used when in the description of the services that were to be provided was to change the furnace filter.  They did not ask if I had one on hand so I assumed that they would provide one as part of the package described.  (Would they have provided one if I didn't happen to have a backup here already?)
Also, I was told about a potential serious problem with my furnace, and I am waiting on a company to get a second opinion.
The second opinion could very well sway my opinions dramatically.

The serviceman arrived on time.  He inspected the a/c system inside and out.  He brought to my attention an issue with the a/c unit.  It was starting to tilt at an angle due to soil errosion.  He explained how this could effect the functioning of the unit in the future if the condition continued to worsen.  He also gave me an estimate as to how much it would cost to fix the problem.  The serviceman was very courteous, friendly and professional.

I had a furnace inspection and cleaning done. When I called Jeff to schedule, he was very polite and encouraged me to buy the coupon off of Angie's List to save money. I was able to get my appointment scheduled quickly (even though it was the beginning of heating season). Jeff arrived right on time to do the job. When Jeff was finished he explained all of his recommendations.

I was impressed with the fact that they told me my filter had a few more months on it rather than selling me a new one that I didn't need.

The guys are professional and I would hire them again.  The only thing I didn't like was that we scheduled an appointment with them; two weeks later they came by just to measure the opening.  It took about 15 minutes...then we had to schedule another appointment to complete the work.  I was just surprised that it took two weeks to schedule 15 minutes of their time...maybe they are a little too busy.

It turned out well.
