JRB Heating & Cooling LLC

Bought this last year and played phone tag for a little while and when summer came to an end I stopped calling. I called again this Spring and they promptly responded with a date. The technician was prompt, called ahead, answered all questions, and was extremely helpful. Would definitely use again based on this encounter.

The inspector was courteous, punctual, and professional. He did an inspection of my AC unit. The cost of the inspection was great because I got a deal on Angie's List. The inspection went well except he found a noise being made by a contactor. He said he could replace it and then quoted me a price of $279 (which would have been about $380 if I did the work a month or more after my inspection). He went to pick up the part (which I quickly researched was about $50 and called another reputable HVAC company for their price---$210 at the absolute highest with lower rates based upon AC type, etc) and when he returned I asked him for a breakdown of the $279 (part, labor, etc). He would not tell me. When I asked him how long it would take, he told me about 20-30 minutes. I finally got him to agree that the part price was around what I had found. I then explained that I thought that was a steep price to pay. It would be like billing out at $400/hr (after the cost of the part). I decided to turn him down. I felt bad that I had wasted some of his time but the price just seemed ridiculous given the price of the part and the amount of work needed to complete the repair.

i was pleased with the service the workers showed me everything they were doing,, it was intact the pump that needed replaced i think it was 100 bucks ,,, i also paid the deal charge for 55 bucks for the winter tune up ,,which was i felt a good price, i was able to ask all kinds of furnace questions and they were more than happy to answer ,,, i was happy with their work, there was water on the floor from the leaking pump and they dried it up as well.

The service was excellent. They squeezed us into what was an already very full schedule for them, were right on time with their arrival estimate and Jake and Ian quickly diagnosed and fixed the problem.

Pleasant experience. My biggest concern was getting the latest appointment so I did not have to take a half day vacation. I called and explained my concern, office person called me back within 20 minutes to confirm that I had a 4 pm appointment. I arrivedhome at 3:40pm, tech called to say he was nearby and pulled in driveway a few minutes before 4 pm. The entire process took less than 90 minutes and that included a trip to the parts store. Tech assessed problem, stated that part could not be fixed and had to be replaced, quoted price, he went to get part, returned, installed and checked air coming out of registers. they accepted a split payment (service call in cash, installation and part by personal check).

Our furnace stopped heating the home on the coldest day of the year. We called and had a service professional at our home within hours. He was able to diagnose and correct the issue in a hour. We were very happy to be warm again.

They were extremely efficient and checked the entire system quickly and thoroughly. Arrived promptly and got to work immediately. I was really impressed!

Jeff was excellent. Very prompt and honest - he gave us our options without pressuring us to spend more. Would recommend to anyone.

The technician did a good job. He inspected the furnace and explained everything in great detail to my wife.

Very professional, originally did not show up on day scheduled as were backed up with other issues (was in the middle of a cold winter) but were able to come asap to make up for delay.

The furnace technician was polite, efficient, and helpful about answering my questions. There were no problems with my furnace, so there were no extra charges. Everything went well.

I was satisfied with the service. I also had them clean the leaves off the of the AC unit. They showed up on time and were pleasant to work with. I had no problem scheduling the deal.

There's nothing to tell, really, beyond what is above. When I called to make the appointment, I was told that I was outside the service area and that I would get a refund through Angie's List. That's it.

Everything was great. They came. I actually had a two stage house so they honored the coupon price. I just had to buy an additional coupon because I have two furnaces and to ACs. They said that there was actually more, but they were going to fix it for me for that price. So, that was nice. I had no repairs done. Everything is fine. The guys were nice. I remember they had little booties that they wore to not track things in the house which I thought was a nice touch.

I had no problems with it at all. There were no additional charges beyond the big deal amount. He called fairly soon and we set up an appointment. He came out when he said he would.

The service was okay. There were no additional charges to the $55 Big Deal. He came out within four or five days later. He was on time. All I needed was my pilot light lit and I just went by the best price I did find.

I contacted JRB Heating & Cooling because my furnace blower motor was making an awful rattling noise on Sunday. Jeff from JRB Heating & Cooling was able to come by on Monday to diagnose the problem, although the blower rattling had eerily stopped by then. He opened the blower compartment and examined the blower motor and wheel, removed some dirt, and told me that even though the problem was gone, it could return at any time, and if/when that happens he should be able to replace the blower assembly relatively quickly. He also gave me an approximate quote for the new blower, which was in line with the cost I was expecting after researching it online. Jeff left it up to me whether or not to replace the blower motor right away, or to wait & see if the problem reoccurs, so I did not feel at all pressured. I felt Jeff was really up-front and honest with me during the diagnostics, and when my furnace does need future maintenance or repairs, I will surely be calling him back. Jeff also let me know about some annual Heating and A/C maintenance packages they offer, which sounded like some good ideas, so I will probably take them up on that. Thanks!

They arrived on schedule, and performed the expected list of typical furnace tune ups. Fortunately everything checked out okay and they did not perform any additional work, nor did they try to sell me any additional repairs. He even showed my boyfriend how to bleed the radiators. It was unseasonably warm (80F) the day of their service call, so we did not get a chance to check out the repair until a few days later when the temps dropped into the 30's. Unfortunately, the furnace was not working at all that morning. Before we called to get the service men back out, my boyfriend fiddled with some switches on the furnace (sorry, can't give more accurate technical terms) and he was able to get it back up and running. It has been working fine ever since so we have not called them back. Perhaps there was a safety switch that he turned off while working on the furnace but due to the warm temps just forgot to turn it back on.

It turned out good. There were no extra charges. It was a good experience.

They did an okay job. The scheduling process was good and they showed up on time. We needed a thermostat so there were additional fees for that. They didn't check out the radiators in each room which I thought was a part of a furnace checkup. Everything is working excellently though.
