Climatech installed a new furnace and air conditioner in our home. The crew arrived as promised and were very professional. The job was accomplished over two days and everything went very well. The installation looks great and wiring and ductwork were done very neatly. There was a problem with the furnace which I noticed about a week after installation. I called the service department, they came out the same day and rectified the problem immediately. I highly recommend Climatech for any HVAC needs. Also their price beat the competition by over $1800.00 for the same exact equipment.

The technician, Jake, explained that the system was empty of what I understood to be the refrigerant, and he found where it was leaking. He explained in detail all of the work he was doing and fixed the AC. It continues to work one month after the service call. He was here for 3 1/2 hours. When I mentioned to family and friends how much the repair had cost, they all thought it was high. I was just happy to have the AC repaired on a late Friday afternoon!

Of course it was the one of the hottest weeks of the year when the AC started having issues, since we had a home warranty we used a company they provided, they were terrible, said the part would take a week to order and receive and then they'd schedule installation, on top of that the technician they sent was a total jerk. We then contacted Climatech, the technician stopped at the end of his shift on a Friday and got us patched up so we could temporarily run the AC while they sized out a new Furnace and AC to replace the 20+ year old system we had. Two weeks later they installed the system and in less than two days we were back up and running with a brand new system.

Called Climatech to do a yearly checkup on the ancient boiler in our newly purchased home. We just moved here from CA so I didn't know which end was up on the boiler. I called around 9AM and spoke to a friendly scheduler. They were able to get a technician out that afternoon. They sent Justin who was excellent. I told Justin I had no idea how to work a furnace (he corrected me politely to let me know what we had was a boiler not a furnace showing just how little I knew). He spent the next hour+ teaching me how my boiler worked, what to keep an eye out for, and showing me how to bleed the radiators. He was very friendly and was never condescending despite my considerable ignorance. When he left I felt confident I could handle any small issues with my boiler and bleed the radiators myself next year, but will still have Climatech come in and do a safety check based on the age of the boiler. As a final bonus in customer service Justin checked what I had been quoted over the phone before billing me, as the boiler inspection is more expensive than the furnace inspection. Since I had incorrectly asked for a furnace inspection they had quoted me the lower price (a little over $100) . Justin insisted on charging the lower price for the furnace inspection even though it was my mistake. From soup to nuts it was great service and I will definitely use them again next year.

The furnace was installed properly and it worked well. I am satisfied with the work that Climatic did. The workman forgot to replace one of the fuses when finished. I am not knowledgeable about fuses and this home is rental. I contacted another provider because I wasn't sure why certain appliances and plugs weren't working. I told Climatech about the issue, but no help was offered.

We really like them. Only one person came out. Everything was good when they left. They explained a lot of thing s and told us how we could do our own maintenance on it and he swapped out the thermostat and didn’t charge us extra.

Not impressed. I was expecting them to cover any small maintenance items as part of the Annual maintenance but from what I understand, if your system is running ok wihtout any issues, they will come take a look at it and that is $225, but for any minor work and I mean even a 5 min job, they charge you $$.

"Hello Mr. [Member Name Removed], We apologize for the miscommunication. The $225 maintenance program you purchased entitles you to two maintenance service visits, the service that you just had this fall and another in the spring of 2017 on your air conditioning. The service includes a cleaning and tune up of your heating and cooling equipment but does not include repairs. Our maintenance program is designed to provide you with preseason tune ups and inspections of your equipment to ensure that your system will work properly during the winter/summer months. It does also entitle you to a 15% discount on your repairs. During your visit we found a faulty thermostat and we installed a thermostat that you had provided to our technician at a discounted rate. Please contact me with any other questions that you may have. We will contact you in the spring to schedule your spring air conditioning service."

800 bucks an hour! I called, specified what I needed done - switching out a capacitor. I asked what that would cost. They said $140 to come out, and "then it depends on the part" Given that this is a $15--$20 part that takes max 15 minutes to switch out, I figured I'd be done under $200. Pricey, but it was hot and parts stores were closed. Bill came to$ 373. So, with a "show up charge" of $140, and a $20 part, that means it was over 200 bucks for a 15 minute job - i.e. 800 bucks an hour. Usually you can get 2 lawyers or 3 doctors for that, or, more to the point, about 10 HVAC guys. I got one. Thank God I resisted the hard up-sell on an AC check, AC clean etc. etc. I shudder to think what that would have cost

"After reviewing the work order, we have found that you were not charged correctly for the service you received. Please accept our apology. Our after hours service visit diagnostic rate of $140 covers our technicians time for traveling to your home and the time needed to diagnose the problem. When we arrived we did in fact find a failed capacitor. You should have been charged $36.89 for the part and an additional half hour of labor for the repair ($70.00). Your total for the repair/service call should have been $246.89. We will be issuing you a refund in the amount of $126.11. The technician that ran your service call, though quite qualified to work on residential equipment, is one of our commercial technicians that was not familiar with our residential pricing structure. Thank you for your feedback as this will allow us to ensure that mistakes like these do not happen in the future. Please accept our apologies for the mix up in pricing and we hope that you will allow us the opportunity to provide service to you again in the future."

Purchased one of Angie's Big Deals to have a new gas furnace and add an air conditioner to my home. Customer service was very prompt in setting up both the pre-install visit and subsequent install date. Service technician was on time and completed the job as promised. Price did go up $300 as the gas furnace (updraft) that was part of the deal was not appropriate for my home (downdraft needed). Cleaned up very nicely; very pleased with their work. Will definitely use again in the future.

Everything went great, Climatech was able to send a representative out the day after we purchased the deal.  They verified the equipment would be sufficient and explained thoroughly why we needed an additional item (chimney sleeve).  Explained several options for the duct work and let us decided which (as opposed to just saying which was easiest for them).  The additional cost was fair and the installers did a great job, they were punctual courteous and very professional.  Would definitely recommend Climatech and would also use them again.

I would recommend this company. Had to get the furnace replaced in the home of my 86 year old mom. Jen knew this was a safety issue. Within just a few hours of my call she had a furnace and crew on standby and the technician was at my moms house to be certain they had everything needed to proceed. Within 24 hours of my call my mom had heat. That is more than professionalism. That is caring, and very rare anymore.

They did a great job! Before installation they came to my house to look at the old furnace and A/C system and measure the space to decide what furnace would work best. I felt informed about what was going to be installed and the timeline. The entire process was done using an Angie's List Big Deal. They didn't try to find extra ways to charge. In fact, since my house is small I didn't need as big of a furnace as was offered in the deal, which they let me know up front. With the difference in price I had a pump installed so the A/C condensation would go directly into the utility sink instead of just having tubing emptying into a drain in the floor.

Climatech is the only HVAC contractor that I trust. I recommend talking with Joe Saltmar or Chris Kuhns. Each man is very professional, knowledgeable and each is completely trustworthy. When this vendor says that they are going to do something, they live up to their promise and do it; and in the unlikely event that something goes wrong, they work with you to take care of the problem. 
These guys helped me with an electronic air cleaner on my new Trane heat pump. I also use them exclusively on my office building that has seven separate HVAC systems.
