I really liked working with Carl. He is very reliable and easy to work with. He showed up when he said he would and was reasonably priced.

Carl returned our call the same day and came out to give us a quote the next evening. He was very nice and his prices were reasonable so we called him back and scheduled the job. It was important to have this done in the next few weeks as we wanted it done before we had a new roof put on. Carl even called to confirm three days before he was to come out and start the job. Unfortunately, he did not show that morning and instead called and said he couldn t make it because his tree climber had quit the previous week. He said he could only do small jobs until he finds a replacement. We called him back and left him a few messages to ask if he could do the smaller parts of the job and hold off on the trees until he found a climber, but he never returned our calls.

He and his crew needed two days. The job went very well and he moved quickly.

I called several companies on the list for estimates. Carl Gibbons was the only one to come; maybe a busy time for tree companies. Once I ordered the work, I didn't care about timing. The several days they spent were not consecutive. No bill submitted until the work was done. It looks like more sun will get through the oaks to the long-suffering grass.

Carl was great. He stopped by one day an asked to give me an estimate on removing the Pine tree as it was leaning considerably toward the road. Gave me the estimate, I called to request the work be done and he was out in 2 weeks. Came back a week later to grind the stumps and trim the tree. No hidden costs. His crew was friendly and did a GREAT job cleaning up. Would absolutely recommend him to others for tree work.

Carl came out the day after i called (very prompt) and gave me an estimate for trimming 4 large tress (2 pin oaks, and 2 other trees). Carl's team (3 guys, 1 in the tree the other 2 on the ground) came 2 days later to do the job. They were quick and efficient only 1 small problem - the guy in the trees was wearing spikes. we didn't even think to ask about this since the gold standard is to not wear spikes (according to the Tree Care Association of America, eHow, and other tree specialists that we spoke to) - Carl tried to play this down by saying that the trees were "lightly spiked", but I don't think that there are really distinct "levels" of spiking. So, we didn't ask about spiking beforehand so this was certainly our oversight but, other than the spiking, the job was done quickly and the clean up was done well. We got a second estimate from a different company (a little too late! we didn't get the final estimate until after we had confirmed with Carl) but it was $150 less.

Carl and crew arrived early on the date I had requested. All work was completed and cleaned up within three hours, including removal of a flowering crabapple tree which I added to the job, and which was done for a fair price. Carl even trimmed some shrubbery that was not part of the contracted work. They were careful of our driveway with their truck. Carl responded in a reasonable time to my request for an estimate, and then did the job for that price, and on the date I had requested.

Promptly removed 2 Down trees, and returned several times to complete work.

Carl completed service estimate in person promptly. I waited about 3 months from time of Estimate to proceed with the work, but the estimate remained the same. Service (tree removal and stump grinding) was completed within a day with no damage to surrounding landscape. Debris and wood chips were cleaned up and moved away from the site.

Carl returned my initial call fairly quickly and he came over one evening to give me an estimate and set a date for the work. He had to postpone the job by a few days but called to let me know that, and the work was then done on the new date. Carl sent me a bill, equal to the estimate, and I mailed the payment. The job was done expertly and efficiently, at reasonable cost. I would not hesitate to recommend the company to anyone who needed tree service.

His price was less than other highly rated companies. He came out quickly and took care of the problem promptly.

Carl and the crew did a great job all around. They were punctual, thorough and delightful to work with.

Carl came to give an estimate within two hours of my phone call, gave a great quote and came the next morning to do the work. The job was done before lunch. He was easy to work with and gave a fair price. I'll have him back to remove another large tree this fall. I called six other companies over a two week span and only two answered my calls.

Absolutely outstanding work! Would highly recommend to anyone! Very professional, clean and neat -- and they went above and beyond, trimming and cutting more than I even asked for!

The elm inconveniently, but predictably, died immediately after I finished a major landscaping project: new patio, deck, retaining wall, trees, shrubs, etc. The tree was on a steep slope behind all this new work, but could not safely be taken down to the street below. So Carl and his men tied off each branch, chopped it in pieces, and carried it carefully through my new patio and plantings and out to the street. They didn't damage a single plant. They were hard working, fast, and careful. I was pleased.

Carl returned my phone call inquiring about an estimate within two days. He called back on a Sunday afternoon, saying that he would be right over. He provided the estimate, and said the job could be done on Tuesday. Carl and his assistants showed up on schedule (even a little earlier) and did a terrific job. All the tree branches were removed from the yard. Also, since he brings a wood chipper, the street was cleaned up as well. I wouldn't hesitate to call him again.

CARL CAME WHEN HE SAID HE WOULD. THE WORK WAS DONE RIGHT AND THE JOB WAS GREAT. WOULD CALL HIM AGAIN.

Last spring I called at least three tree trimmers, none of whom returned my call, I think because I only had one tree that needed work. When I called and left a message for Carl explaining what I wanted done, he returned my call within 24 hours. Within three weeks, we had set a date. He arrived when he said he would and completed the job. I found Carl on Angie's list, by the way!

I called Carl based on previous positive reports on Angie's List. He returned my call right away and came by to give me an estimate that same day. His estimate was the lowest of three we received by several hundred dollars. I believe this may be due to the fact that he uses ropes to remove limbs and not a fancy bucket truck. When we called him to offer him the job, he scheduled the job for the very next day. He and his two-man crew did an excellent job. Our neighbor was so impressed with their hard work that he asked Carl to remove one of his trees too! I thought that Carl was very careful about lowering the limbs and making sure that no damage was done to our home. He did a good job of cleaning up, which was important to us because we did not want to bother our neighbors. He also did a good job of grinding down the stump and making it flush. Considering the complexity of the job, I couldn't believe how effortlessly it was done.

Excellent from start to finish. Called me back the same day I left a message and was out the next day for an estimate. Reasonable estimate, and trees came down within two days. Fast, efficient, polite crew. Cleaned up well after - even cleaning street. Took some branches and other yard debris unrelated to their job at no charge. Took some time to get stumps ground, but did a great job and were conscientious about their work and cleanup efforts. I even paid more than the quote because I was so pleased with their work.

GOOD CREW, WORKED FAST AND GOT THE JOB DONE. VERY HAPPY WITH THE SERVICE. WE HAD TO RESCHEDULE A FEW TIMES MOSTLY DUE TO WEATHER, NO BIG DEAL. WOULD DEFINITELY CALL AGAIN.

GOOD WORK AT A DECENT PRICE, PERSONABLE, & PROFESSIONAL SERVICE. THEY WENT OUT OF THEIR WAY TO HELP A NEIGHBOR WITH A WASP'S NEST.

CARL WAS VERY QUICK TO RESPOND. THEY DID AN EXCELLENT JOB OF CLEAN-UP. THEY DID THE JOB WHILE WE WERE AT WORK. WE WERE DISAPPOINTED BECAUSE THEY PRUNED MUCH MORE THAN WE HAD ASKED FOR. I WOULD RECOMMEND THEM FOR A WHOLE TREE REMOVAL, BUT NOT FOR SELECTIVE PRUNING.

CARL GIBBONS AND HIS CREW WERE FRIENDLY, EFFICIENT AND THOROUGH. WHEN THEY LEFT, THERE WAS NO TRACE THAT A TREE HAD JUST BEEN REMOVED. THEY EVEN CLEANED THE STREET! GREAT JOB, AND A GREAT PRICE.
