I had used him before and respected his knowledge and insight about HVAC problems. He responded promptly to my request to investigate a problem switching from heat to cool mode.  He was able to force it to cool mode due to the failure of the control panel. He ordered a new one and installed it promptly upon receiving it.  Reasonably priced and expert work.  I will definitely use him again.

Called Charlie Sunday morning when we realized heat was not coming on. He came that day to diagnose the problem and promptly installed the new system the following day. Very clean, efficient and friendly service.

During one of the hottest weeks of the summer my wife and I realized that our condo climbed about 8 degrees in 30 minutes. Sure enough the vents were pumping out hot air. I called Charlie and he came out that day to check it out. Turns out a valve on the system went that tells it whether to do heating or cooling, and is by default in heat. He was very up front and said that it would cost upwards of $1000.00 to replace just the valve, and that the system would probably go within a year or two. (It was the original system from 1989!). So my wife and I elected to just replace the whole thing to save us headache down the road. Charlie took the time to go over the options, explaining everything to me in detail and did everything but literally hold our hands through it.
I did have to consult a few family members and friends more "in the know" than I about this, but they said his prices were right in line with what it should cost, only one guy saying he could find it cheaper, and even then it wasn't by much. 
There was a slight mix-up with when it would be put in, Charlie thought he could get it on Friday, but it turned out he couldn't  get it till Monday. But that was no fault of his- the distributer literally didn't have it in stock.
He had someone else with him get there around 8:30 AM and by 6:30 PM we were cooling the house again!
The system is super quiet, looks amazing, and was very professionally done and I know I can call him again anytime something goes wrong to check it out.

Update 3/17/14:
I noticed our thermostat was displaying "service heat pump" and "Emergency Heat" and after a call to Beebe mechanical, he came out the next day to check it out. Turns out the circuit board was shot due to the harsh winter and several power surges from our power losses. Charlie let me know up front that it was covered under the warranty, and after about a week due to the slowness of the company shipping parts (No fault of Beebe Mechanical) it's being fixed now! Still has stellar service!

Charley Beebe has been servicing our heater and air conditioner for years. He is honest, highly skilled, dependable, and reasonable in price. I give him our highest recommendation. 

I have had service people come into the house who have scared me and others who thought that I had been waiting all my life for someone just like them (yuck!). Charley has always been the kind of person who you weren't afraid to have in your house; in addition, I would trust him with my animals. He's kind, never has a bad word to say about anyone, and by the way, doesn't use any bad words at all. He's the type of person you can rely on. I just don't know what I would do without him.

It went amazingly well! I used Charley for this job because he has maintained my much older heat pump for a number of years and has, over the years, done various repair jobs for the unit as well. I have always found him to be quick to respond, punctual, reliable, helpful and completely responsive to my concerns and any issues I've had. He is also intelligent, thoughtful and an excellent troubleshooter. I felt I couldn't do better when it came to be the time to replace the unit. I did get a couple of other estimates. Although Charley is not always the cheapest - he doesn't miss it by much....and when using him I know I'm getting the extra care and tremendous quality for whatever small amount over the 'cheapest' estimate I might pay him. He also thoroughly outlined the 'options' I had in terms of brands, warranties, etc. I can't recommend him highly enough!

They do great work for reasonable rates. The service is excellent. They are always on time and very polite and courteous. I would recommend them to other people because they are so easy to do business with.

AFTER SPEAKING WITH A LADY ON THE PHONE SEVERAL TIMES THE DUDE CALLED ME BACK AND ASKED WHEN I NEEDED THE JOB DONE? HE SHOWED UP WHEN I ASKED AND AFTER I GOT BACK FROM WORK THE AC WAS RUNNING WITH NO PROBLEMS SINCE.
