On the outside I can't hear the fan until I stand immediately next to it. I had bids and discussed this project with three other companies and your company was hands down the most impressive. The provider showed up on time for the initial visit and was prompt and complete in providing the estimate. They communicated throughout the process and were highly professional. The tech who installed the system was friendly, knowledgeable and tidy. He showed up on time and left the job site neat and clean. The installation looks good and the system works as promised. I would unreservedly recommend Radon-Rid if you have a radon issue.

My fan was making a ton of noise and when I checked the pressure it was showing as nothing. I called and they had me go out and take a picture so they could send a tech out to replace it. All went well and the new one makes no noise and the pressure if good.

I would hire them for another job, thoughI'm hoping the radon fan they installed lasts as long as the first one.David was friendly and he followed through with making sure theinstallation was perfect by repairing a pipe. He saved us time by tellingus where we could find the fan specs so that he could order it right awayrather than schedule a special trip to get the info

I had two companies come out for an assessment. Very glad to have the first one because I could see how (probably) most companies just want to crank out the jobs, which led me to go to Angie's list & then find Radon-Rid. What a difference- Dave from Radon-Rid came out for the assessment, answered my questions, and educated me much more than I already knew. They were $200 more but provided much more for the price. They made two (rather than one) holes, which I needed because of the size of the basement. They have a guarantee to get it below 4.0, the other company did not. Dave also installed the system- his conscientiousness and experience was quite evident, and he was very informative along the way. He listened and worked with me to keep the pipes out of the way for my plan in the basement. So, if you want the job done with thought and care, I highly recommend Radon-Rid.

I found this company to be very professional. They returned my call promptly and after sending them some photos of the existing fan they were able to give me an estimate for the replacement via email. Everything was completed in a timely manner. As for the installation, all went very well, The technician arrived on time and was very friendly and professional. He gave me a radon test kit, which came back with a no radon reading so the fan is working properly. I would definitely recommend Radon Rid to anyone who needs a new fan or to replace an existing fan.

We were selling our house & needed a new radon fan. I called the Radon-Rid office and spoke to a woman who walked me through finding the existing fan's serial number. She was so helpful and made it easy to determine what type of fan was needed. The gentleman who installed it was on-time and put it in in no time. He was very informative on radon testing and radon in general and I felt that he really knew his job.

From previous testing, I knew that the radon level in our home was 4.5 pCi/L (above the recommended level of 4.0). I had put off doing anything about it for several years but decided it was time to take care of it. I called Radon-Rid due to their good reviews here on Angie's List. I was not disappointed. Everyone I dealt with, from my initial phone call thru the installation itself, was pleasant, friendly and professional. Marc came out to review the site and determine requirements and within a day I received a proposal via email. I accepted the proposal and set up an installation date.The technician (sorry, but I forgot his name) arrived on time, explained what he was going to do and went right to work. When he was finished the installation he gave me a complete explanation of exactly what was done and how everything worked. Of course, the big question was --- would the system actually do what it was supposed to do? It did. Subsequent testing shows that the level is now 0.8 pCi/L. Well done, Radon-Rid!

In the process of selling our home, the buyer's radon test came back high. I contacted Radon-Rid through Angie's List for a remediation bid. They were courteous, friendly, and personable on the phone. Very responsive both by e-mail and by phone, accommodating to my schedule, informative, thoughtful, and reasonable. We decided to offer the buyer a credit rather than overseeing the work ourselves, but would definitely have considered Radon-Rid as a front-runner if we were contracting someone.

The system is working and it looks nice on the outside of the house. This contractor uses downspout for the piping that must run up the side of the house while another contractor was proposing white plastic plumbing pipe. The plumbing pipe will quickly yellow and is much more noticeable. This is just one of the reasons I choose this company over others. Check their website to educate yourself about the issues associated with radon mitigation. The estimator when beyond what I expected when he went into the attic to check the condition of the radon piping the builder said he installed. He answered my questions respectfully. The process when perfectly.

Reached out to Radon Rid for a mitigation system quote, they were the only ones who could keep a reasonably early appointment and responded quickly with an email quote. The specialist that came to the house was patient and took the time to explain how and what the system would do and explained in detail what system would be recommended. Installation went well, I showed the technician where the basement was and left him alone for a few hours and came back to a thorough explanation and walk through of the system both in the basement as well as outside of the house. They ran a separate aluminum spout for the exhaust fan, other installers might have tried to use the existing sump pump plumbing which could lead to premature equipment failure. The tech even took the time to seal in other areas in the basement as well. Overall, a solid experience.

They were always on time. Very knowledgeable. And clean. The radon system produced the results promised.

It went great! They were in and out within 2 hours and did exactly what they said they would do. The system works great too, my levels are well below the "safe" level.

All interactions with Radon Rid were top notch. Marc, who came to do the proposal, Dave, who did the installation, and Jeanette who handles the phone were all very knowledgeable and easy to work with. The job took about 3 hours and was accomplished without any problems. The quote for the job was similar to others we received. The factor that caused us to go with Radon Rid was the feeling that Marc really knew what he was talking about. Fortunately it turned out that Dave was equally as knowledgeable and efficiently and cleanly did the install. I think the company is focused only on radon, not also pest control etc. as were others. My only hesitation with the job is that I thought the cost was higher than necessary. As a do-it-yourselfer I of course thought I could have done it fairly easily. However, as noted above, all the quotes we received were about the same. Also, the job is now done; no telling when I would have gotten around to it. Our radon level was 4.2 before we had some water mitigation done and 10 following the water mitigation. A short term test following radon mitigation was 1.2. We are now running a long term radon test provided without charge by the commonwealth.

The folks at radon-rid were helpful and customer focused. They did all they could to help us understand how to address radon issues and did their work in a very professional manner.

Excellent job, exactly as proposal described I received one other quotes very similar in price but liked the promptness, detailed proposal and professionalism of radon rid. Work was completed within a few hours, they cleaned up the basement and provided detailed instructions on how to perform the follow up radon test. Before radon system, my radon was measured at 6.0 and follow-up test provided in the price of the system came back 0.6. 100% satisfied and would recommend to anyone contemplating. This system is for a four bedroom 3400+ square-foot single-family home.

From the time they came out for the estimate to the time of installation was not long at all...actually I put them off a bit. They were very clean, punctual, and professional. BTW, I received several estimates and met several companies. Radon Rid and another were on the top of my list, but I chose Radon Rid in the end because of the installation process and materials used. We did NOT do this because we were moving, rather because we are staying here and wanted to make sure we were safe in our basement. Whether the amount of time we spend in the basement will subject us to cancer or not is NOT something I wanted to risk for $1100. Plus we know that when we move we will have to pay for one, so why not reap the benefits of the product before "giving" to the next owner. The fan hummed a bit and we figured we would have to get used to it, but it continued to get louder. I called about 2-3 weeks after installation concerned with the increased noise we were hearing. They were out the next day to diagnose the problem - defective fan. They were back the next day or 2 with a new fan. We had to put our hands on it to know that it was actually working. In summary, great experience and you can't hear the noise from the fan either...which is just outside our family room window. Great job and I would definitely recommend Radon Rid.

We purchased our home and during the inspection process performed a radon test, which returned 6-8 pCl. Radon-Rid performed a radon test at our request to double check the first test, and also returned the same result. A radon mitigation unit was proposed and the installation was explained in advance. Radon-Rid answered our questions about appearance of the unit and ventilation spouts on the outside of our house, noise levels, electrical design and efficiency, and installation process. Radon-Rid responded to our request to have the ventilation spouts run up the chimney in a way that minimized the visual impact and blends with the rest of the houses downspouts. Most people do not notice it is not a downspout. The outdoor unit itself is efficient, costing about 8-9 dollars in electricity per month. A small price to pay for safer air for the family. Radon-Rid performed a second test after the installation of the unit, and the result was about 2-3 pCl on average. The one critical point was the electrician didn't come out to complete the electrical hookup for about 2 weeks, so I had to continue to use an extension cord during that time. Also, the work was performed at times when the ground was muddy and there was some dirt left inside the house and on an area rug. Overall, they were courteous, responsive, and delivered the expected result.

Installation was painless, technician was very professional and knowledgeable. Completed on time and area left clean when finished. My radon pre-mitigation reading was at 153, post-mitigation was 0.6. Job well done!

The team did a great job. FIrst, the estimate was at 8am (I was skeptical as to the early timing) Dan showed up at 8 on the dot!!! I'm not kidding, as soon as the clock changed to 8, he was at the door. He gave a detailed account as to what needs to be done (I had other quotes but Dan was more detailed in his assessment and explanation). After sending back to paperwork and agreeing on the work and timeline, his team went at it. Very professional, timely and did excellent work. There's attention to detail that I miss with many contractors as I work in the industry and work with contractors a lot. If you need radon issues addressed, use Radon Rid - you can thank me later!!!!
