The owner was very professional in every way from the first telephone call. The company was prompt with their estimate went over all my questions and concerns. He was even nice enough to meet my father to do the estimate as I had to work and we were selling our home and we needed it done ASAP. The gentlemen he sent to perform the work was equally professional and I was comfortable having him in my home. I would highly recommend this company.

Marc was extremely knowledgeable and professional. He explained how the system works and exactly what radon is. The technician was very personable and just as knowledgeable as. He was very neat and worked quickly. I have already referred them to a neighbor. I highly recommend Radon-Rid to anyone that has questions about Radon or needs a system installed.

I purchased a new home in July and during the inspection process discovered that my radon levels in the basement were 6.4 which is well above the acceptable level. I contacted Radon-Rid and made an appointment to meet with Mark to go over what needed to be done. He arrived on time, explained what radon was and the process of remediating it. I was so impressed with his knowledge and professionalism that I did not contact any other company. We then set a time for the remediation. His tech arrived on time and went about installing the fan and pipe used to remediate the gas. When the job was finished the tech explained what he'd done, went over what I needed to do with the test kit and what I should be done if the meter level changed. Once he finished he cleaned up the area. My level went from 6.4 to 1.9. I will definitely use Radon-rid in the future if the need arises and would definitely recommend the company.

Having dealt with countless contractors over the past two years since we moved in, dealing with Radon-Rid was a breath of fresh air (no pun intended!). Marc did a great job explaining everything during the initial visit. On the day of installation, everything went exactly as they had stated. They did a clean job and the mitigation system blended in nicely with the rest of the house. Our radon levels went from 10 to the 1-2 range. I would definitely recommend them to anyone who needs radon mitigation.

Marc arrived at the property on time for the initial appointment to look over the job. This is a house that we own but do not occupy and are getting ready to sell. We had a radon test performed prior to calling Marc and the reading was averaging 13.2. Marc reviewed the report and determined that two suction points would likely remedy the problem. He looked over the basement area where the installation would take place spent a lot of time determining where the pipes would run and where the fan would be placed. He explained everything to me in detail and answered all my questions. Marc's proposal was waiting in my "inbox" before I arrived back home at the end of the day. We scheduled the work and Radon-Rid was there on time on the appointed day. The end result was an installation that lowered the reading from 13.2 to .07...well within the guidelines. The work was performed carefully...in a very neat manner...and cleanup after the job was finished was impeccable. Radon-Rid clearly knows the business and they were a pleasure to work with in all respects.

The technician, Mark, was very friendly, thorough, and professional. They just had a different approach to getting rid of the radon, and we just chose a different company. There wasn't anything that we didn't like about them, we just preferred the other approach. They did have a fair price as well. They were slightly unresponsive. We had called a couple times before they ended up calling us back. It really wasn't an issue though.

My husband and I were extremely satisfied with their service. Marc was very easy to deal with and took the time to explain the procedure in detail. There was a small problem when installed, but someone was there the next day to remedy the issue. I would highly recommend this company.

The work was completed as contracted with no problems.

The work was first class. The exhaust was placed in an unobtrusive location on the outside of the house. For the exhaust system, the company uses alumnimum downspout tubing up to the roof line from the fan, which is much more attractive than the white plastic tubing used by other installers. The color we picked matched the siding, and the exhaust is not even noticeable unless you are looking for it. Marc took his time on the initial visit to explain what radon is and what it can do and discussed the different ways to install a system in our house. Dave, the installer, was pleasant, neat and did a great job. The post-installation radon test showed that radon levels in the basement dropped to almost zero. The company is highly recommended.

I contacted Marc to speak with him about our radon level and how it could be taken care of. He was fantastic, at first he told me how to test the radon level again at minimal cost to verify I needed the service and how to fill some of the holes and other issues in the basement before testing. After finding that the levels were still high I moved forward with their proposal. I was concerned about how it would look on the outside of the home since it is a tudor stone wall, and I didn't want pvc used. He explained how he does the install and how it would blend in. He provided references and images of his work. His guy did the job professionally, clean install and I was very pleased with how it turned out. I would use them again.

In the course of selling my home, inspection revealed a radon level of 7.7. I went with Radon-Rid because they gave me the best price of the quotes I received, and used aluminum downspouts outside the home as opposed to PVC, which would blend better with my home's exterior. Our first appointment was postponed on the morning of the service because the tech had called in sick. For the rescheduled date, the tech arrived on time and was friendly and pleasant. He handled the installation quickly and walked me through the system, answering my questions. The only reason I would rate quality a 'B' instead of an 'A' was that the caulking around the outside of the home was not fully sealed at first; I noticed this after looking closely and pointed it out to the tech, who promptly fixed it. When we received the test results after mitigation, the level had dropped from 7.7 to .6, so we're quite pleased with the work.

Radon-Rid came to our house and discussed mitigation options after we had done a Radon test. The Radon levels were a relatively low 6.9 and 6.1 but needed to get below 4.0 but hopefully below 2.0. He recommended an approach for both the basement and the exterior fan and venting locations. He also discussed what else could be done if this approach did not reduce the Radon level sufficently. The technician came in a couple days and completed the entire installion in a couple hours. The installation and electrical work was excellent. Care was taken when cutting the hole in the concrete floor for the vent pipe to keep the dust at a minimum. Plus he cleaned up everything before he left. He briefed me on the system and provided a new test kit from a independent lab to check the Radon level again. The level at the same location of the 6.9 reading was reduced to 1.3.

Mark was incredibly helpful! My radon inspection was delayed, and came in late Friday afternoon of a holiday weekend. My inspection period for the purchase of a home was expiring on Saturday, so I needed help....*quickly*! I found RadonRid through Angie's List and left a message for Mark. Despite the fact that he had already left for the holiday weekend, he called me almost immediately. He did not provide service in Center City Philadelphia, but he still took the time to make suggestions for me regarding what to expect and strategies for ensuring the mitigation was done effectively and properly and within budget. He helped me feel comfortable about making a huge financial commitment without fear of the radon inspection consequences--and he wasn't going to be doing the work! Who does that anymore?!?!?! I wish he did work in Center City, with that level of customer service, I'd hire him in a ....Philadelphia...minute :).... (and take a look at the pictures of his work on his website--so much more aesthetically pleasing than most of the other radon mitigation systems I've seen!) The home was originally built in 1851 and totally renovated in 2004, but part of the original stone foundation was still used and could be seen in the partially finished basement.

It went very smooth. Mare arrived on time and finished the job in a timely fashion. We did a test after the installation. It's 10.

My house was under agreement for sale, and radon testing showed levels to be slightly higher than recommended. Sellers insisted on remediation. I contacted 3 radon remediation companies and Radon-Rid not only came highly recommended by my realtor, but of the 3, Katherine (office) and Marc from Radon-Rid were the most responsive, professional and knowledgeable. Marc explained and installed a system very quickly, and due to cash-flow issues, even allowed me to pay afterwards, using the proceeds following the sale of my home.

They returned my call promptly, were very professional. Told me that I needed to have the basement tested first for Radon, and it was a conflict of itnerest for them to do that. They gave me the name of a company that did the testing. They, too, were very professional and did a great job (D-tech). Turns out my Radon levels were very low and I did not need to use Radon-Rid. They could have come out and just done the work and I never would have known the difference, but they were very honest and said that they needed to be sure I actually needed their service before they did the work.

Radon-Rid owner was very courteous and took the time to explain radon, radon detection, and mitigation before I contracted the service. Very good workmanship during the install which was done by Radon-Rid owner and helper. Both were skilled and professional. Before install, radon levels were around 10pCi/L. After install levels were measured at <1pCi/L.

I will highly recommend his company. He is really taking care of his customers. I don?t know how to appreciate him. He is very busy and his schedule has fully booked. When he found I could not reach him on time, he still spent his time to make sure my system has been installed correctly by the other company.

Marc Marino did a phenomenal job from start to finish. After a very thorough walk-through of our home, he gave us a detailed proposal - which turned out to be the most competitive. This aspect deserves to be mentioned: I got 3 proposals from 3 companies highly rated on Angie's List, yet only Radon-Rid considered the fact that our radon level was only minimally elevated (4.7) and therefore our house did not require the maximum radon mitigation approach possible. As a result, their quote (just under $1,000) was three times lower than the second one, and almost 5 times lower than the whopping $5k one local company wanted to charge. Marc completed the job in one day. He was very considerate of other contractors roaming the house that day, cleaned up beautifully in the end, and took a lot of time explaining the system to me. I could not be happier with the service, and will recommend Radon-Rid to anyone who ask me for advice!

So in January 2013, Mark from Radon-Rid came to my house to start work and did a quick review of the floor and installation area. Then he noticed that I changed my heating system from oil to gas. After couple questions, Mark advised that changing my heating system will effect my radon results in which I may not need a radon system installed. I was absolutely shooked and surprised with the complete honesty of Mark. This guy is genuinely a honest and decent person which is very rare to find now a days. He could of easily installed everything and taken my money but he wanted to let me know my options. He advised after all construction is done that he'll come back to do a radon test and see if I even need a radon system. If you have radon issues and need to find someone you can trust, call radon-rid and ask for Mark. He just doesnt want your business and wants to inform you about radon and help you. Thank you Mark!

Called Marc because our radon system didn't appear to be working - he agreed to make a service call but advised me to check the switch before they came out to make sure I didn't waste $$. Given my experience fixing things on my own I was sure I would need him and he was very gracious about taking all my information and scheduling me promptly. I followed his advice, though, and was able to fix the system on my own. He is GREAT and I will be testing my radon levels to make sure we are protected and will definitely use him if anything negative turns up.
