I had already had one window nightmare with another company. Mr. Handy, who had done other work for a family member, said he installs windows and said he could replace the four defective windows installed by the previous company. Immediately after installing the windows at a cost of $500 a window, I noticed significant air leaks. Multiple complaint calls were placed. On a return visit, he placed small pieces of cotton in the window tracks to decrease the air leaks. He was unsuccessful. The temperature in the bedroom last winter was at least 15 degrees colder than the rest of the house. The mini-blinds were in constant motion from the force of the cold air leaks. After more complaint calls and another visit, he said he would come back and put sealing foam around the outside of the windows. No return visit. No response from the certified letter I sent and he received on Sept 16, 2006. The $2000 I spent was a total waste!
Description of Work: Installed four new windows in the master bedroom.
