"Our Family has been servicing rugs in Philadelphia since 1923. We appreciate when customers review our services so we can strive to always improve. Mr. [Member Name Removed] had 2 carpets cleaned and repaired 6 months ago, while he did not offer a review at that time, I assume he was pleased enough to bring us 2 more carpets in December for repair only. One of the carpets was a very fine small Persian carpet that he wanted to have a sleeve sewn on the back so he could hang the rug on the wall. Our head repairman told Mr. [Member Name Removed] that would be no problem and when asked was told the stitching would not be visible on the face. Because the carpet was extremely thin, it was very difficult to sew the sleeve on the back securely without having the threads show slightly on the face. Our mistake was not calling Mr. [Member Name Removed] when we realized that the service we promised could not be delivered perfectly and let him make the decision. I do take exception with Mr. [Member Name Removed] saying that we responded "most nastily". I explained what happened and apologized for not calling him so he could make the decision. I also find it disingenuous that in Mr. [Member Name Removed]'s review he failed to mention that we refunded all his money. As always we will learn from our mistake and continue to strive for exceptional service. Robert Zakian President"
