Ron did an excellent job. The office responded within 2 hours of my emailing them and the work was performed the next day. Great customer service with contract and pricing emailed to me right away. I highly recommend this company.

From Pete, the wonderful Super Hero owner; to Bridgett, the friendly Sidekick who scheduled my initial appointment; to Jeff and Steve, the skilled Sidekicks who constructed my beautiful new powder room and stylish kitchen floor, I have nothing but GREAT
things to say about The Home Hero crew.
My husband and I found ourselves in a time crunch last October when we finally acknowledged we needed to repair our decrepit kitchen floor before his hip replacement surgery in November. Not having good experiences dealing with contractors in the past, I guardedly contacted The Home Hero to get an estimate for the work. The day of our initial appointment with Pete I was held up at work so my husband met with him to explain what we had in mind. Imagine my surprise when I got home to hear my typically cynical husband say we should hire The Home Hero and he did not think we needed to speak with any other contractors. I KNEW at that moment that The Home Hero had to be something special. Believe me, I was not disappointed.
Despite the fact that I was well aware of the tight time frame for getting the floor replaced, before Pete’s crew could begin I convinced my husband that it made sense to renovate the powder room since it was right off the kitchen. Each time I added
a new project to the ever-increasing inventory of work to be performed, Pete patiently and humorously revised his estimates (at least four times).
Once i finally stopped with the additional requests, Pete provided us with the final estimate and the work was scheduled. Let
me tell you, if I did not feel comfortable using The Home Hero at that point (Though, I DID!), I certainly would have after meeting The Home Hero crew – Jeff and Steve. Where did Pete find a crew as friendly, knowledgeable, patient, trustworthy and skilled as he is?
Jeff and Steve were a pleasure to have around and I never felt inconvenienced by their presence. In fact, I felt so comfortable with them being in the house that I didn’t have any reservations giving them the house key. Not only did I find Jeff and Steve to be dependable and approachable, they were also very skilled. They found solutionsfor the many issues that came with renovating my old house with its uneven floors and outdated plumbing.
So, even with the very tight time line, my numerous additional requests requiring revised estimates, and the need to find creative solutions to the issues that arose when renovating my old house, The Home Hero gave us a beautiful new powder room and stylish kitchen floor. As you can probably tell, my husband and I are extremely satisfied with our experience with The Home Hero. I cannot
imagine calling anyone else when we start the next project in our home.

Home Hero is a class act. Pete Rose (yes, that's his real name), is the manager and you can call his cell anytime. His workers are quick, professional, and get the job done. I've worked with plenty of handymen and he's one of my two favorites. Also, if he can't get the job done he refers you to someone who can. Pete won't leave you in the lurch. We look forward to working with him again.

Home Hero has received numerous positive reviews on Angie's and Yelp, so I was very excited to have them help me with my house. On Angie's List, it says that Home Hero services many areas in the greater Philadelphia area, more specifically my area of Feasterville. Well, they don't. I was told by Home Hero that they only work within 17 miles of Center City.
Angie, please adjust your recommendation and Home Hero, please change your write-up.

From the moment Pete arrived to provide an estimate, I knew I wanted to use The Home Hero. He was professional, friendly and helpful.
When Jeff arrived to complete the work, I knew I made the right decision. He finished the closet work quickly, and asked for my opinion/confirmation throughout the process. I really appreciated his collaboration, instead of just making assumptions. While he was working on the w/d hookup, he realized the drain pipe was not connected to the drain hose- a huge problem. He promptly ran to Home Depot to get the appropriate materials and fixed the problem. Talk about a total lifesaver! I am thrilled that I know I can use THH team for any future project that is just too big for me to do myself!

Throughout both processes Pete, and all of his workers, were impressively professional. Pete was very responsive both via phone and by email. Everyone always showed up on time, was really nice and was patient with the barking or our 8 month old puppy. The work was done efficiently and the utmost care was taken to minimize the mess. Whatever mess was left they cleaned up at the end of every single visit. It was obvious, Pete and each member of his team, take pride in their work and insist everything gets done perfectly. They stayed until the job got done. In addition, we really appreciated their flexibility in scheduling visits. They were willing to come out in the evenings, early mornings or weekends.

The Home Hero's crew is easy to work with and accomodating. We had to switch dates for the playset construction because my husband was delayed in building out the pad for it to sit on, and Pete's team was flexible, which make it easy to work with them. They also work quickly and efficiently. A playset that would have taken two normal humans easily an 8-10 hour day to build (including choice words and a possible trip to the ER) was completed by a single Home SuperHero in just one business day. I would use the Home Hero again without question. Peter is also upfront and honest about jobs that are too big or beyond his super means.

Pete is very reponsive and pleasant to deal with. I thought that the initial estimate was a little high, but he inspired confidence so I went with him. The initial job was doen reasonably well by one of his employees. My complaint is how the follow-up was handled. The piston on the door began to become loose from the frame, so I called Pete to have it fixed before it got worse. When his door guy came back to fix it, he told me that he had noticed that the wood was bad on the door the first time he was there and that it was predictable that it would have come off. He suggested that I get part of the wooden frame replaced, otherwise the problem would just keep reoccuring. I asked Pete for an estimate for this and it was another $300 or so.

I was frustrated that he didn't acknowledge that his door guy had diagnosed my door frame as bad at the outset, resulting in having to undergo a two step, more expensive repair than if if the underlying problem had been tackled at the outset. Seems to me they should have told me this and suggested that I have the frame replaced initially. I still haven't had the door properly fixed, and now it doesn't stay closed unless I lock it with a key from the inside.

We sought to hire a company that would do quality work above the level we would accomplish in our own efforts. In summary, most of the smaller jobs were not really any more professional than the sort of fixes we would have done ourselves. Most of completed work is already coming apart. Neither door closes well without effort. The wrong bath fixtures were purchased, and our insistence on the correct fixtures resulted in our being charged for both sets of fixtures.

After re-scheduling delays (on my part), we finally had the work started on May 10th. After assessing the job further, it was decided that the job would take more than 1-day than originally proposed. Because of this, my original quote of $400, plus supplies was raised to $500, plus supplies. It took two (2) days to complete. The final cost was still lower than another provider's quote, so it was not much of an issue. They guy that did all the work (Adam) was courteous, efficient, clean and organized. (Thanks Adam!!!) Pete kept in touch with Adam at all times to make sure everything was running smoothly, which I appreciated! Overall, I was greatly pleased with the final result and would definitely used them again for other "jobs" around the home!!! In addition, I would highly recommend them to any and all Angie's List-ers!!!

It wasn't reasonably significant than the upgrade. The estimate was more which was why we didn't go with them. It was very positive and frankly had he not been as expensive as he was, I probably would have used him. He did reach me across finding the email and confirmed the appointment. He was friendly and extremely well informed. He was just little too pricey. He told me that he was licensed but when I looked him up, he wasn't. I was little bit vague about the license and I didn't like him.

I don't have a lot of experience in hiring handymen, since I was lucky enough to marry a handy guy. But it got to the point where all of our free time was spent on projects, and I wanted to hire someone who could complete a task in hours, instead of the weekend it would take us to do it ourselves. I'm pretty picky, considering that I'm using to working with my husband who is neat, precise, mindful of my budget, and a perfectionist. Pete is all this and more - and he can get the job done a lot faster!! Pete is very personable and a nice guy to have in your house doing work. My husband marveled at how neat and clean he kept his work area. He also made some suggestions to my original plan that made the solution so much better. He was able to price the job with us getting most of the supplies on our own, or he could have purchased them for us, and we would pay only his cost, no upcharge. He also priced the job with us finishing the drywall (my husband will sand and paint) which saved him a trip back to our house, and saved us the $$. This flexibility was welcomed. And I know I can always call and add this to a new job now if my husband doesn't get around to it... Pete, I'll be calling you in about a week... ;) From now on I'm splitting my honey-do list between my husband and The Home Hero!!

Well first of all, we're really pleased with how our shower turned out. We had a custom structural element that we wanted incorporated into the design, and Pete not only made it work, but got really enthusiastic about it. I am a type-A personality and usually feel the need to hover when work is being done to make sure it's being done right, but with Pete, I was able to trust and let go because it was obvious that a) he knows what he's doing, and b) he might be just as much of a perfectionist as I am. This sometimes meant that the work took a bit longer than estimated, but I'd rather have the job done right than rushed to meet a timeline. He takes so much pride in his work and has such high expectations for the finished product - it's really refreshing. Another thing that became clear was how much care Pete took when putting together his team. Surprisingly, one of the best parts of the job was how great it was to have them working here each day. They were not only skilled at their individual trades, but they were genuinely good people. They were so considerate and thoughtful of us and our home and went out of their way to make sure that the workspace was clean at the end of every work day. Honestly, we kind of miss having them around - sounds odd, right? But true. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
