Stanley Steemer

We had brand new carpets and we tracked in something from the outside in the dining room and our steps. We called Stanley Steamer and luckily they were able to come out that afternoon. Two young gentlemen came out. They arrived in the time frame specified.They were extremely courteous, careful and professional. They cleaned the carpet and removed every single stain. I would highly recommend them.

We hired these guys to clean a really light oatmeal colored linen sofa that had been discolored over time from regular wear and spot cleaning.
I couldn't get anyone else to come with anything stronger than a handheld besides Stanley Steemer since the more powerful vacuums are all truck based and these are the only guys that would close a lane on our busy city street to do it. The phone reps warned me I could damage my fabric, but I needed it cleaned anyhow. They came on time, sprayed down the sofa, and vacuumed the solution out.
The couch was really damp and took about a day to dry, which was WAY longer than their estimate, but it looked near new when done. We're pretty clean, and the couch is only 2 yrs old, so we were a little grossed out by how much lighter in color it was. They upsold me on deodorizer and protectant, which added 60 bucks to my 99.99 sofa special. Both were pretty worthless, so stick to the basic clean.
Fast forward....literally the day after cleaning, the new puppy poops on the white sofa. This is how I know the protectant doesn't work. I cleaned it as best I could, with the Steemer special spray they sold me, to no avail. I called them back, told the phone rep what happened (the number isn't local, they are a dispatch service) and she said they'd be right back out. Sure enough, they came back and did the whole thing again. Looked great.
One of the guys on the second trip really smelled like cigarette smoke, but we just aired the room out afterwards we were so grateful the sofa was saved. I'd hire them again, but wouldn't buy any of the extra items.

They gave us a quote over the internet and they did a little extra work. There were here on time and they were professional. They did a fantastic job. You're never going to be surprised about how much it's going to cost. You get a quote beforehand.

I would rate them highly.  I would use them again in the future.

The first rep to come do the estimate was not on time. He did the estimate, left the paper, and left the office without speaking with me. I called the telephone number on the estimate for an explanation of how the price was determined. It was the rep's cell phone number, and he said he didn't have the information in front of him, he would call me when he got back tot he office. I did not receive a call from him. Two days later, I called the Stanley Steemer telephone number I originally called and asked to speak to a manager. I advised the manager of the poor customer service experience, and asked for another rep to come out and do an estimate since it could not be explained how the first estimate was determined. The manager came to my office, with the original estimate in hand, and told me the price is the price. His apology for not receiving a call back from rep did not seem genuine, stating that they are very busy. I am only assuming they want to deal with volume not necessarily quality. I did not feel confident placing my business with this Stanley Steemer office location.

It's been an excellent experience. We have used them multiple and I would recommend them. They're great.

There was not a problem at all. They were good. They explained everything to me that they were going to do and offered me other services but there was no pressure. I was here when they came for the job but my husband did the arrangements, he was out of town then too but he did the arrangements. They were really helpful. They told me when I took a walk on the carpet while I came into the kitchen, it will be very slippery and it really was. I was amazed and I am really grateful that they told me that because I probably would have knocked myself out. They did a good job and we were pleased with the result. I did not have any other expectations. I thought they were competent and took the time to explain things to me. Drying took longer than they said but it was a very hot and humid day. They said it might take maybe six hours but there were areas with the carpet, not all of it but areas that were still damp. The next morning when I came down it was fine. It was a very humid day, hot and humid. In terms of price, I thought they were very reasonable. They did our living room, dining room upstairs, the hallway upstairs and two pieces of furniture and I thought the price was $299. I thought it was a good price. We were satisfied with the price. In terms of quality, we had spots on the carpet that they brought up. In terms of responsiveness, they were very good at answering any questions I had or even before I asked them, they answered them. In terms of punctuality, they gave us fifteen minutes or half an hour window and they were here well within that range. I would use their services again in the future.

They do a wonderful job. They are professional, businesslike, and they had a wonderful "bedside manner" so to speak. They even helped put the furniture back in place. I was extremely pleased with the work they did. Any questions that I had were answered right away--they were very impressive.

We used them once. They were pretty good. They brought shampoo and cleaning agents in their truck. There were some spots that they had pretreated before they cleaned it. They took the extra time to clean it and did a quality job. I think their service is pretty cut and dry. I didn't want the rug to be wet or damp. That's basically why we used them.

They are fine; probably in the middle of the road. They come and scrub the carpets. They do what they are supposed to do. My rugs smell good when they are done.

I got them through a special. They came in and did what they were supposed to do and they did what I asked for. They were quick and were very business minded. I would recommend them as my neighbour recommended them to me. They were very kind and courteous. I have dogs and when I put the request in for them to come out I explained to the young lady that I had dogs and I would like a stretch cord plus stuff that they use as far as the cleaning with dogs are concerned and odorant. The dogs do make mistakes at times.

After shopping around and reading the reviews on Angie's List, we called Stanley Steemer. Setting up the appointment was easy. The cleaners arrived on time, were professional but personable. They worked quickly, gave us clear instructions for letting the sofa dry, and they cleaned up thoroughly. In the end, they brought new life to a previously dingy sofa. I admit I had been skeptical prior to this experience, but we would definitely use them again.
