They sent a professional installer (that was employed by Singer) to come to install the AC. They installed it improperly - it was crooked and the front casing of the unit could not fit on. He caulked it on instead of fixing the unit. The installer was supposed to come back and the store said they would send him back but he never did. My husband had to miss out on a day of work. My husband went to the store and they told us to call the manufacturer because it might be a manufacturer defect. The manufacturer came out and confirmed that it was a problem with the installation. We went back to Singer and they would not honor their 100% customer satisfaction so we have been stuck with this AC unit for months that we cannot use because you can't put the front cover on. They have been ignoring all of our phone calls and in person contact that my husband attempted. We had to start writing letters and then threaten a lawsuit. Finally, we got a letter from them trying to buy us off by refunding our installation money, but we had to sign something that released them from any liability from any damage. We decided against that for obvious reasons and now we have a court date to decide if Singer will be paying for the damage to our home.
