Harry was punctual and did a great job. He explained what he was doing and it was interesting to watch the process.
The new carpet repair is a little lighter (we expected that - the carpet is about 5 years old) but virtually undetectable otherwise.
Would HIGHLY recommend Harry Reinhart for your rug repairs!
I was looking for 4 remnants/large throw rugs. One throw I bought and took with me, two remnants I gave them the sizes I needed the rugs cut down to and I paid to have the edges bound (finished), the fourth rug I bought the size I needed (they cut it off the roll), but the edges didn't need to be sewn.
Took under a week to get bound rugs delivered to my house. They charge for delivery and it was about $70 - $90 dollars which dinged the cheap prices I had paid a little, but I still got a great deal. It was also a big plus that I could go to one place and find all the carpets I needed for four rooms at one place. The inventory ranges from cheaply made to nice Berber, solids to patterns, some current some more dated. They had A LOT of oriental rugs and throws of all sizes. I would highly recommend Reinhart's.
This was the second time I had used their services and I'm sure to use them again in the future.
After removing the old carpet myself, I discovered a number of very creaky/loose floorboards, and one with a rather large hole. When the carpet installer came, he was also EXTREMELY helpful, walking through each room with me and using his drill to secure each loose board and the patch the hole -- definitely above and beyond his duties. They also didn't charge me to move my large bed, the only piece of furniture I had around. They cleaned up after themselves really well -- no dust or fragments left anywhere for me to vacuum. The quality of the installation was a little lacking, though; some of the seams are not spectacular, and they had a little trouble some of the awkwardly-angled rooms. I might have gotten a slightly prettier job from a big-name outlet, but I was so pleased with Reinhart's service, and their willingness to help me on my tight budget.
