Pep Boys Philadelphia

It took two hours. The workers were professional and confirmed that everything was okay. They could work on calling immediately after service is complete.

We took the used car we had just purchased in for an emissions test and safety inspection.  Since the car is 2010 with very few miles, this was a very straight forward process for Pep Boys.  The manager handled everything well but the service staff returned our car to us with grease footprints on the car mats.  The car had just come from the dealership and had been spotless when we dropped it off to Pep Boys.  When I walked back into to the service area with my dirty car mat, the service staff person said the grease foot print had been there when we dropped it off.  Well, that was a lie and I told the manager as such.  The service person eventually grabbed some clean rags and heavy degreaser and scrubbed the stain out.  The inspection/emission went fine; I was just very disappointed that the service staff weren't careful with laying out paper covers on the floor of the car and then he lied when presented with a greasy mat.

I am really leary about using a chain auto store for car repairs. I went there for my state inspection and when a broken light panel had to be repalced I was a little nervous about having them do it. I agree to let them order the part. They called in a few days to let me know that it had arrived. I brought car in early on a Saturday morning. I did tell them that I had to go somewhere that day and in an hour or so it was ready for pick-up, A+.
My only problem was that the mechanic did not check his work before I left the shop. The blinker did not work and after returning home I had to go all the way back and have them fix it. They were very nice about it, took my car right away and fixed the problem. So, I have to say that I can forgive a mistake. Maybe the young man was new and learned a little that day.
The entire store staff are extremely courteous and professional, esp. the manager. I would have no problem bringing my car back next year for inspection.
If it weren't for having to return I definitely would have given them an A in all categories.

They do a good job on inspections/oil changes. Have always been fair about parts needed, etc. Could not figure out what was causing my wheel to intermittently squeak. It's still a problem.
