They arrived on time every morning. They removed all the old items and trash everyday. Barry and his crew were wonderful. He keep us informed of everything/every move. The work and workmanship were A+. I have been telling everyone about Mr. Contractor. I love how they have been in business for years and it’s family owned! I will definitely be hiring them again for other projects.

Mr. Contractor is excellent. We initially hired them to paint and build built-in bookshelves and storage in our last home. They were professional, timely, and did great work. We just hired them again for a complete bathroom remodel. Their prices feel a bit on the high side (though I don’t have much to compare to), but I feel like the quality and reliability are well worth the added cost!

removed a old rotted deck and opened wall to acess deck from our living room with a nice french door and designed a modern functional deck with outdoor grilling bump out and a pergola for that unique look Steve and his team of carpenters are nothing but professional clean neat and respectful. i would recommend them to anyone looking for a quality job and pricing is on the high end but other companies came in higher without even detailing out and spending the time making my husband and i feel at ease.

Fantastic! The workers came on time and through their experience and efficiency, were able to complete the job same day. My home was clean and no trash left after all the demolition work ...they did a great job. Lonnie was my contact and he followed up with me next day. I plan on working with them again and would highly recommend to anyone looking for contractors who can do it all!

We worked with Ken and I knew we were in good hands from the outset. Mr. Contractor quickly set up an appointment for Ken to come to our house to assess the project and he was able to give us a quote right on the spot. His price was the best by far of the three we got and he stuck to this budget throughout the project. There were a couple of things we added onto the project later and his prices were very fair. Anytime we had a question about the project we received a very quick response and he kept us updated as the project progressed from the permits to the end. Additionally, we had some sprinkler work done during the project that was outside of the scope of our project with Ken but he was instrumental in getting the sprinkler company to complete the job in a timely fashion. We’d still be waiting for that work to be done if Ken had not taken the lead in coordinating with them. We are very happy with the quality of the work done and I would highly recommend choosing Mr. Contractor for your renovation. Our renovation turned out exactly as we had planned and I’m very glad we chose Mr. Contractor.

Mr. Contractor was excellent to work with in every way. Quick to contact me, consistent with updates, professional demeanor. The work was excellent. They replaced rotted wood on the structure, re-coated the roof, stabilized the uprights and painted. It looks great. They cleaned up 100% when finished. Don't look elsewhere. This is quality work.

Everything went very well Jenny at the office is a sweetheart Ken does what he says when he says and how he says things go well in a timely fashion I will not let anyone else work on my house but ken from Mr. contractor that is such a pleasure It is nice to know that you’ll get a return call and get the work done although they are a little expensive it is well worth it at the end of the day.

This is my second time using Mr. Contractor and won’t be my last. I originally asked for a quote for a couple items around my house but they pointed out a couple areas of concern that will prevent more issues in the future. These guys are flexible, honest, and do great work. Would definitely recommend!

I worked with Kenny from Mr. Contractor from January 2019 until completion in April 2019 on several projects in my home ranging from a full bathroom remodel, creation of a w/d closet, and fixing up our regular closet. We are thrilled with the outcome. The work was executed professionally throughout, Kenny was very communicative with us and understood our needs, and things got done in a timely manner. His crew was very courteous and took great care to make sure that the work in our home was not too disruptive and they were respectful of our belongings (and doggie). They also cleaned everything up and then some. Creating a bathroom in your home from scratch is a very stressful process, but Kenny and the crew at Mr. Contractor made it feel like a breeze. Highly recommended.

Our old exterior doors were from the 1950s, at best. (When were jalousie doors popular?) The doors were falling apart, and the door frames were rotten. So we called Mr. Contractor. Lonnie came promptly. I asked for a door that we could see who was outside, and he agreed. He quoted about $3000, which seemed high, but we figured the door frames were included. The service was fast. The workers were professional. I suppose I could see someone at the door, if he/she was 7.5 feet or taller, and tried to look in the door's window. I was very disappointed they didn't give us door frames too, but then again, I never specifically asked for them. I just figured no one could put a door up on rotten frames. I was wrong. I asked about the mail slot for the front door. (We live in South Philly, so no place for a mail box.) I had to call Lonnie back for that, but he did send someone out to cut one in. Again, workers were nice and professional. The doors sure seemed like interior doors, but I figure he's the expert. I'm not. A year later, the door handle bulged out. (Photos included. That's not a shadow under the door handle. Oh, and the gold trim was painted by friends. That didn't come with the door.) Two years later -- last summer -- the rain and heat swelled the front door enough that we were stuck in the house. I called the business and the woman answering the phones told me he wouldn't be in South Philly until Tuesday or Wednesday. (I called on a Thursday.) She suggested we call the police to open the door, but I kept thinking, "What will they do, except break the door open?" And then what? Anyone can just walk into our house?" I told her I'd wait. Wednesday afternoon, I called back to ask when he's coming. She said she never promised he would come. Why would I assume he wouldn't come when he could? He did come late that afternoon, but he was angry at both her and me for the inconvenience. Having been unable to open the door for six days, I invited him to open it. My luck. He could. (It hadn't rained for several days by then.) So to "fix" it, he got out his screwdriver to check the screws near the hinges. They were tight. He rubbed a little sand paper against our rotting frame, but it wasn't rotting there, so nothing happened. Case close. Nothing he could do. We used oil on the door, so we could get out until the weather cooled. The weather is heating up again, and hard to open and close the door again. Now the door is cracking all over. (Photos included.) All around the hand-cut mail slot. The door itself. Along the brass sweep at the bottom of the door, (if that is brass. Probably not.) Our frame was rotten. In a mere three years, the door matches the frame. He did give us cheap interior doors. He did rip us off. I would hire a feral dog before I'd hire this flim-flam outfit again. Run! Don't walk away. Yeah, it looks okay when you first get the work done, (less than you expected, but okay), but time tells quickly how bad they are.

I called Mr. Contractor for an estimate after a contractor next door caused water damage to my home. Even though it was a weekend, they sent Steve out to my house to take a look at my problem and give me an estimate, but he also talked to the contractor next door for me and told him how to fix the leak he caused. It was a while before we were ready to begin work, but even after months of delays, Steve was able to schedule our job. Alan and a guy whose name I forgot (sorry! You were still great!) did an excellent job making our long damaged house look like new. Gary gave everything on our first floor a great coating, and before we knew it, it was like the damage never happened. After years of working on our home ourselves or relying on other contractors, I was very pleased with the work, professionalism, and results from Mr. Contractor's guys and would absolutely hire them again for another job.

I cannot tell you how pleased I am with my new deck. This project has been on my mind for over 6 years since the purchase of our home. We received quotes a few years ago but put the project on hold due to cost. Last winter we decided to finally hire a contractor. To my surprise, many contractors did not want to do work in Philadelphia due to the strict construction guidelines within the city. Those that were willing, did not want to work with a zoning/building permit. Mr. Contractor had no issue with either as they are experienced with working in the city. Their price was very competitive for the size of deck that I wanted. When I signed the contract, Kenney said that the work would take 5 days. This included the deck and opening the wall to install sliding doors. With my experience hiring contractors for my prior employer - a public entity, I thought to myself, he’s bluffing to get my business. Kenney was right on point. One day of construction, the entire frame of the deck was up. Day two included most of the deck floor. Day three included finishing the floor and installing the railing. The crew – Alex, Jim, Dave and others worked so efficiently and left everything really clean at the end of each day. Every day that I came home after work, I couldn’t believe the progress. The final two days of construction consisted of blowing out the dining room wall, framing and installing the sliding doors. Kenney kept me informed every step of the progress from the beginning. My neighbors are just obsessed with my desk as are we. I highly recommend Mr. Contractor and will gladly use them on future projects.

Crew was very professional and knowledgeable. You won’t find better quality then this. Even though it was a smaller job, they crew did not leave any stone unturned. Their housekeeping was pristine. I would definitely hire Mr. Contractor again.

Perfect. Was done in a quick amount of time, as well as the work was amazing. Hand crafted shelves for my closet with nice trim finishing, kitchen looks amazing as well as the bedrooms. Would highly recommend.
