Excellent He is always efficient and first and foremost tries to fix the problem with parts before replacing anything keeping the cost down.

I hired him to replace my heat exchanger which was under warranty. Horizon told me it was cracked when doing my a/c preventative maintenace and then tried to sell me a $13K heater and A/C replacement package. Even if my heat exchanger was cracked, it was under warranty and was not going to be a huge expense to replace it.
Jeff came out ready to replace my heat exchanger (had already picked up the parts from Carrier) and had given me a very fair quote for doing the work. However, when we got to my house and looked at my heater, he said all I had was a little surface rust which did not affect the operation of my furnace. So we switched the repair to just a preventative maintenance call.
he was honest, competent, professional and knowledgeable, and saved me a lot of money. I would definitely use him again, and suggest that if anyone is told by Horizon or any other big company that they need to replace their a/c or heater, call Jeff first. He will tell you if they are being truthful or just trying to sell you something you don't need (ala Horizon with me.)
Horizon had said I was in danger of CO poisoning if I turned my heater on and the heat exchanger was cracked. jeff said there were safety switches that would get tripped before that ever happened. it has now been a month that we are using our heater this season without any issue so Jeff was right and Horizon was wrong. my heater is only 15 years old, and Jeff was very suspicious what I told him that Horizon told me it was cracked without even trying to turn it on and verify it.
