Mike first contacted us to notify us that we could save some money if we refinanced (he led us through the purchase of our first home roughly a year before). We had about a half-hour conversation in which we both caught up on how the year had been and then talked about details pertaining to the refinance. My husband and I have been so impressed with Mike - and the whole team at Superior Mortgage - through both the purchase and the refinance of our home. He is extremely hard working and committed to his clients. He was honestly available to us any time we had a question or wanted an update. Our refinance went through in a month exactly, saving us on interest rate and PMI (it was dropped through the refi). Buying a house is incredibly difficult for a first time buyer. Banks do not make the job any easier. They usually try to hard-sell you on their mortgage and seek to exploit your lack of knowledge. It is confusing and nerve wracking, considering the amount of money involved. My wife and I bought our first house during the credit crunch, when banks were very risk averse. There were multiple obstacles to overcome in the process. The appraisal of our house was initially too high for the underwriters. Friendly got the issue resolved. Then it was too low. Friendly got the issue resolved. Finally, our credit was not high enough for the underwriters. Again, Friendly came through to get us into the house. All the while, they stalled the seller (who was growing impatient), and got me and my wife into our house. Our mortgage broker, Mike Digillio was available at all hours to answer our questions and give us instructions. We NEVER would be in our house without his help. Had we gone directly with a bank, our application would have failed on three separate occasions. Again, their service cost us nothing. In an industry that is so difficult to navigate, Friendly Mortgage stands alone as a truly exceptional organization. It's excellence goes beyond our mortgage broker. On the day I was to drop off our mortgage application, I came into their office to do so. The president of the company, whom I had never met, dropped what he was doing and personally reviewed the 80-some odd page application, page by page with me, to make sure all the Is were dotted and the Ts were crossed. I simply cannot say enough about this company. I recommend them for anyone looking to buy a house.
