Our refrigerator stopped working a day before a family of five was arriving to stay with us.  It was Friday and I spent the first part of the day trying to get access to my extended warranty.  When it was apparent that I was not going to able to get service I accessed my Angie's list account and choose Elite based on the great reviews and proximity to our location.  Michael was terrific.  He responded on an hour's notice late on a Friday afternoon.  Based on his experience with our model of refrigerator he had the necessary part in his truck. He was checked and fixed another potential problem without additional charge.  He was great.  He saved the day!!

Michael at Elite Appliance Service performed excellent work. He answered the phone almost immediately every time, showed up, and diagnosed the problem quickly with no initial consultation charge. He called me with the price of the replacement part and ordered it within the day after making sure I wanted to go ahead. Unfortunately the part was quite expensive - an additional 115.00 - but that was not Michael's fault. Within a couple of days receiving the part from the distributor, he was able to come early in the morning, on time and installed the part quickly and testing it thoroughly. Within a week of the initial diagnostic, my dryer is now fully functioning and my fears of burning down the house are allayed. Michael even provided me with a small Angie's List discount which I hadn't thought to ask for. Michael's part of the price was only $75.00 - no last minute increases, no surprises or differences in the bill then what we had discussed previously on the phone. 
Spending money on appliance repairs isn't exactly fun, but one can do much much worse than Michael/Elite Appliance and I think it would be hard to do better.

Michael responded to phone message same day and made an appointment for the following week (he would have come out the same day but I couldn't be there.). Got here exactly when he said he would. It took him about two minutes to figure out what the problem was. He had the replacement part in his truck. Repair was completed in less than 30 minutes. He also ran the machine through an abbreviated cycle to ensure that the odor from the stagnant water had been removed. He was kind enough to look at my frozen garbage disposal on the way out and fixed that - after he had written up the bill and had been paid!! Very nice, professional and good communication. Would DEFINITELY use again.

This was a great experience all around. Mike and his assistant responded within a couple of hours to my initial phone call and came out the next morning right on time as promised. They were pleasant to work with and fixed both oven and dryer within half an hour, explaining exactly what they were doing. Mike's new assistant is a college-educated former chef (he says there's more money in the appliance biz), and we talked Thanksgiving recipes. 

When our primary appliance repair man could not come, I called Elite Appliance and left a message.  I was called back within an hour.  Following the phone call, someone was on site within 45 minutes, and already on task.  Everything went quickly and smoothly and the price was reasonable.  We will absolutely hire this company again.

I called and left Michael a message the day that I noticed the problem. He called me back within 30 minutes to schedule an appointment for the next day. He was extremely friendly on the phone.
The day of the appointment he called about an hour earlier than expected to say he was in the neighborhood and to see if I was available early. This actually worked out very well for me so he came by just a couple of minutes later.
When he arrived I briefly showed him the dishwasher and explained what had happened. He diagnosed the problem in about 45 seconds and had it fixed a minute or 2 after that. He then took the time, however, to test out the different cycles on the machine and to make sure everything was working properly. He also cleaned the unit and took some time to explain to me how I could get better performance out of the unit going forward.
I could not be any happier with the overall experience, and will be calling him for any problems that come up going forward.

It went beautifully. Michael was able to come to my apartment the day after I called and worked around my schedule (I had to leave for work at 10:30). He called me when he was 20-30 minutes away and arrived promptly. He and his co-worker were really pleasant and professional and they were able to diagnose the problem immediately. After making a brief trip to his car for the necessary parts and tools, he repaired the unit. All told, he was here for maybe half an hour and I had plenty of time to make it to work.

First, a little background.... about 3 years ago my dryer stopped working. The problem then was a bad blower wheel. I had called a different repair company (NOT Elite Appliance Service LLC) and the dryer was repaired, but it made noise while running. The repairman at the time insisted that my dryer was fine, the noise was nothing to be concerned about, and it would work for me for a long time. I let it go. Flash forward 3 years, my dryer stopped tumbling in the middle of a load of laundry. I decided to try Elite this time around. I called Elite Appliance Service and left a message (it was after hours). Michael Pinto promptly returned my call and set up an appointment with me for the next morning. On the day of service, he was very prompt. Dressed professionally, he went to look at my dryer and almost immediately diagnosed the problem. He quoted the price right then, which I found to be extremely reasonable. He excused himself to go out to his vehicle and he returned very quickly with the necessary part. While changing the belt, he pointed out how the pulley had not been installed correctly (by the former repair company). He said it would be an additional $15 to replace that pulley. Within minutes both parts were replaced, my dryer had been closed up, and Michael was testing the dryer. It worked perfectly and NO MORE NOISE which was a great bonus! I was so thrilled with his work, and his pricing, that even though I had the coupon I didn't tell him about it as he was writing up the invoice. He was so great, I just couldn't take any money out of his pocket. He deserved every penny! I will definitely call him again!!

I called Elite appliance based on Angies list ratings.   Once I called and spoke to Michael Pinto I realized I made the correct choice.  He was able to diagnose the problem with my refrigerator based on my explanation of what was occurring and give me an estimate of what  would be the cost based on my explanation. His knowledge and demeanor were  very comforting and just from speaking with him I knew that the reviews were correct.  He was able to come within a day, was very prompt and professional and was correct in his diagnosis. As he had stated he had the part on the truck and he held to his estimate.  I would definitely use Michael for all future appliance work.

Michael called ahead of the appointment time to let me know that he would be a bit early. That was great!
When  checking out the D/W, he quickly identified the leak to be a faulty gasket around the door. He cleaned, adjusted and replaced the gasket, then ran the D/W to check the result. The leak was fixed. At this point, most repairmen would pack up and go. Instead, Michael checked out the entire D/W to make certain, no other issues existed. Only after he was satisfied with his results, did he secure the D/W back under the counter and presented me with a more than fair bill.
It is refreshing to meet an honest service repairman you feel you can really trust. I would hire this company again anytime!

Micheal was excellent. Made space in his schedule to come the day of the call. He diagnosed the problem right away, and happened to have the needed part in his truck. Super professional, friendly, and got the job done. And we are just so happy we don't have to buy a new fridge!

The service provider arrived on time, in fact a little early, as he had completed another job nearby sooner than expected. He called first to say that he would be early. He diagnosed the problem quickly (an electrical short) and suggested replacing the electrical connection so the short would not recur. Work was done quickly and professionally. The cost was reasonable. We would definitely call Elite again for future appliance repairs.

Excellent experience.  I called about my side by side frig not having any cold in the refrigerator side on a Thursday night.  Michael Pinto called me back within five minutes and was able to come out the next day.  He suspected it was the heating coil by my description.  He confirmed it was that when he checked the frig and because he carries a full range of parts in his truck was able to fix  immediately.  He took care not to damage any other surrounding furniture, flooring, etc. when he pulled out the frig and when done he put everything back in it's original place.  I would hire Elite Appliance again!

My refrigerator got warm and my freezer started defrosting.  I called Sears on a Tuesday and the earliest appointment they had was Saturday.  Elite was very highly rated on Angie's list so I gave them a call.  Owner Michael Pinto answered my first call, and said he was on the way into the city anyways and offered to stop by to check it out.  He was there literally within an hour or two of calling.  Michael diagnosed my issue as a bad adaptive defrost computer, which had caused my coils to freeze up, warming the whole unit.  Michael defrosted the unit as a temporary fix while he ordered a part.  On Wednesday, the refrigerator started to warm again so I called Michael.  He stopped by on Thursday and found that the coils were already freezing again.  He defrosted the coils again and said he'd have the part Friday.  [NOTE: Michael would have come back on Wednesday had I been home!]  Michael came on Friday, installed the part, and we are good as new.  Bottom line is this is the MOST responsive service I have ever gotten for a house call.  Michael was incredibly responsive, efficient, and knowledgeable.  I think he called us just about every day to check up on the problem (including the Monday after to make sure the fix worked over the weekend).  I expected to get a much bigger bill since Michael came out 3 times, but he stuck by his original quote.  I would highly recommend Elite to anyone!

Our 25-year-old Kenmore washer quit full of water and suds.  He came the next day, emptied it, and identified the defective part.  The next day he was back to install a new part, and the machine is running again.

Michael Pinto promptly returned my call regarding a refrigerator in a rental property that I own that stopped working.  I scheduled a time and he agreed to meet my tenant.  He showed up when promised, he quickly fixed it with a condenser fan that he had on his truck and charged a reasonable amount.  I never met him, but he agreed to mail an invoice which showed up two days later.
I was very pleased with the entire experience and would gladly use Elite Appliance again.

My fridge was leaking water so I called Mike. He arrived at my house within a half-hour and knew exactly what the problem was. In less than an hour the freezer was disassembled, repaired and reassembled. The food didn't even have time to thaw!! Mike was extremely knowledgable, courteous and professional. He's our man for any and all future appliance-related issues.

Mike is amazing!  I called him this morning and he had my fridge fixed by 4 this afternoon! Mike was the first contractor to call. He arrived punctually and was extremely courteous and professional.  A circuit board in our fridge had gone bad and all of our food was spoiling. Mike told us he would try and get the board by tomorrow but that we might have to wait until Monday. A few hours later he called and said he been able to locate the board at one of his suppliers and that he was coming in the next 20 minutes to install it. We were overjoyed! Life with no fridge is no laughing matter. Mike pulled out all the stops to make sure our problem was fixed in record time. I asked him for a fridge magnet because if our fridge or any other major appliance in our house breaks I'm calling Elite!  Kudos to Elite and to Mike for providing excellent customer service!

Michael was on time, courteous and knew his job. He quoted a price up front and we felt it was very fair. Would highly recommend him.

Went fine.  He explained that the connection had not been done correctly and that was the cause of the gas leak.

I called Mike around 10:00 left a voicemail, he returned my call back within minutes. I explained that my dryer was blowing cold air. Mike said that he would be out between 1-3, he got to me about 1:30 and it took him all of 20 minutes to fix the problem. I would definitely recommend him and also use him again.
