"THIS PERSON IS A COMPLETE IDIOT. I TOLD HIM I WAS BOOKED UNTIL THIS FRIDAY 11/9/12. I AM NOT BOOKED INTO FEBRUARY. THIS WOULD BE ABSURD. The temperature has dropped rapidly for the first time this year so I am busy servicing and installing boilers. I asked him where he lived on the chance I had a service call in his area already at whichpoint I was going to try to accomodate. This is the thanks I get. Please read the rest of my reviews and dont hesitate to contact us for any of your plumbing and heating needs. If I ask you where you its simply so I can plan accordingly."
He was able to schedule the work quickly, arrived on time, cleaned up after himself and both he and his partner were very friendly.
While he was here to do the bathroom I asked for an estimate on a new water heater as ours has been slowly leaking for several months. Not only was he able to give me good price, he was able to install the water heater that same day instead of making another trip. I also felt that he was very honest with me when discussing the best water heater for our house and wasn't trying to talk me into something more expensive. In fact, he talked us out of larger water heater (75gal) because he said we really didn't need it and it would cost us more money to heat and he was right - the 50gal replacement water heater that he installed works great and we have more than enough hot water whereas with the old 50gal one we were running out of hot water after 2 showers.
His prices were very reasonable and were, in fact, about half the price of what another large plumbing company wanted to charge us to install a pedestal sink and toilet.
Overall, a great experience. We will definitely be using Bill and East Falls Plumbing for all of our future plumbing jobs.
I will be using Bill and East Fall's services again soon. I recomend them to others.
He came out to fix it quickly and kept me apprised of his schedule (seriously, a plumber who emails you? How great is that vs. playing phone tag?) And while at first things looked dire, he kept at it and fixed the pump vs replacing it, saving me a ton of money. He and his partner also kept great attitudes despite being faced with a holy mess, and were just a pleasure to work with. I look forward to working with East Falls in the future on non-emergency projects - just a great experience all around.
On Friday, July 13, I called Bill Bierman to schedule an appointment for him to unclog a tub drain. I also followed up with an email. Bill called me within a half hour. He said that his schedule was full the next day but could come by after wrapping up a big job. I told him I was available after 3 p.m. and he responded that he may arrive later; however, he would call me prior to 3 to confirm the appointment. When I didn't hear from Bill, approximately 4:15 p.m., I called him to verify that he was still coming. He replied that he was waiting for my call at 3, that he was unavailable, and suggested that I call his friend the next morning. I asked him if his friend works on weekends. He replied no. Then I told him that I couldn't use the tub at all. He apologized that he couldn't come by and recommended his friend again or I should find another plumber who works on Sundays. A few minutes later Bill called and said that he could come over in 1 or 2 hours. I told him I would be available. Bill arrived at 6 p.m. and unclogged the tub drain using two plungers that his colleague retrieved from their truck. He told me to make note of when he serviced tub and if the problem reoccurs he may have to replace the trap, as he thinks it was improperly installed. At that point, I was relieved that he resolved my plumbing issue. However, a few minutes later, after Bill had left, I noticed that my plunger, which I recently purchased from Home Depot, was missing -an old ratty one was left in its place. I called Bill and asked him to return my plunger. Bill returned to my house and denied that he took my plunger. In addition, I also discovered, after comparing a previous repair receipt, that Bill charged me $50 more for the exact same service which he perform only 9 months ago.
"A few key points to consider..... 1. Why would I risk my reputation which I have worked very hard to build up over a ten dollar plunger?? I have a least a dozen and a plunger is one of the items I would never need another of....Let alone take one from a customer. Any smart person reading this I trust would understand my logic here. 2. NO ONE TOOK HER PLUNGER AND FURTHERMORE WE NEVER SAW A NEW PLUNGER ANYWHERE IN THE HOUSE......I flipped on my helper and we worked for 40 minutes later that night and tore the truck apart.......It was not there. 3. Lastly, I went to this person’s house at 7 PM on a Saturday night in July and I charged her $125 for an emergency service call which 95% of my customers would think was a great deal and would normally thank me ten times before I left there house. If she could not recognize the fact that she was getting a great deal than there is nothing I can do"
I would certainly recommend East Falls Plumbing and use them in the future for any other plumbing issues that may arise.
