East Coast comfort did the most horrible thing to us, and they have treated us with utter contempt. We have been with East Coast Comfort since they began when Ed McCollum and Anthony Mongeluzi started the company in 2006. Both Ed and Anthony were to our home in the early years of their business, performing maintenance and repairs, and one of them was here when they installed our current unit. We gave them a favorable review on Angie’s List, and we have never had any complaints about them in almost 20 years, until Lisa Hawthorne. We schedule routing maintenance, so we do not have equipment failures and outages. We have repeatedly been asked by Ms. Hawthorne of East Coast Comfort to reschedule our maintenance appointments, and we have always acquiesced. This occurred again a few weeks ago, and we rescheduled for last week. Ms. Hawthorne again called the day before our scheduled maintenance appointment last week, asked again to change the appointment because of the volume of emergency calls they were receiving, and we agreed as long as Ms. Hawthorne promised we would be given priority scheduling if our system went down. The next day, our air conditioning failed, and I contacted Ms. Hawthorne. A technician came to our home on the afternoon of the next day, but he said parts had to be ordered, and it could be days before they would arrive. I have emails supporting that we requested Ms. Hawthorne to order the needed parts, and she emailed back that the parts would be $1500.00 and labor $500.00. Though we made it clear from our emails that we wanted to get the system repaired as quickly as possible, she did not order the parts and would not grant us priority scheduling. When we learned of this betrayal, we contacted William Henderson Heating, Cooling, Plumbing, and Electrical Services. They worked us into their schedule for same-day service. I have an email exchange that proves how disdainful Ms. Hawthorne was to longtime customers of East Coast Comfort, both of us senior citizens, and one with a cardiac condition. A request we made to Ms. Hawthorne to speak with Mr. McCollum or Mr. Mongeluzi was ignored. In other words, other people had their systems repaired because of our kindness, so we can swelter in the heat and humidity. I consider their behavior toward us to be elder abuse. Good riddance East Coast Comfort, we are now receiving our comfort from William Henderson.

We would like to submit a glowing review for the East Coast Comfort team. Tony and his team came to our house today to install a Fujitsu mini split heat pump in our attic room. They were on time, cordial, friendly, respectful, and they worked diligently to install our unit. We are extremely happy with the work they did and the new unit is working beautifully.

ECC is AWESOME!! From talking with Lisa, who scheduled EVERYTHING!! to Ed the gentleman who came out and estimated the job, to Tony, his son and Jane (the installers) everything was seamless!! The communication was EXCELLENT!! Lisa is excellent at keeping me informed about the process and following up when things were done. I can’t say enough about Tony and his crew!! He went above and beyond my expectations! He even RE-routed a condensation pipe to the gutter so it wouldn’t keep dripping onto my shingles!! Just an amazing company!! Would ( and have) recommend them to everyone I know for their HVAC needs

It was excellent service, very knowledgeable serviceman, he called us about filter change and the humidifier unit.

I have been using East Coast Comfort for heating and air-conditioning for years and I have always been pleased. They installed a new system for us years ago, did it for far less than other estimates we received, and we have reduced our energy costs because of it.

Excellent. Technician was professional and knowledgeable and support staff was responsive. We'll use them in the future for maintenance on this system and are considering installing AC which we'd use them for too.

Heater is now working

Great company. Called and left a message on Sunday evening about an error on our Nest thermostat and sporadic functioning of the AC unit causing lights in house to flicker. Got a call Monday morning to see if we were available for a technician visit in the afternoon. When he came, he diagnosed the issue by opening the inside blower wiring panel and the outside compressor wiring panel. Within 30 minutes, the issue was determined (broken wire) and fixed. Technician didn't just stop then, but continued to check all the wiring in the 2 panels before stating he was finished. Cost $90. Was expecting much more. Always love East Coast Comfort.

Extremely well. ECC was very profesional. They originally installed this unit and they removed it for work being done at the house. They were on time and efficient. Lisa, the office executive is a pleasure to work with when scheduling appointments.

The whole team at ECC is professional and very friendly. No surprises during the entire process. Extremely happy and would hire again in a heartbeat.

Very pleased with the quality of service we've gotten from East Coast Comfort. Their service technicians are prompt and courteous as well as very skilled. It took a couple visits to get our most recent issues rectified, but they were committed to our satisfaction and no effort was spared! Highly recommend.

Our water heater pilot light wouldn't stay on. ECC came and determined the tank was cracked. They were able to install a new one the same day they diagnosed the problem. I trust their work and they have worked in our home for 7 years.

ECC installed a new condenser and coil. Tony, who is one of the owners, did the job himself with two assistants. He was very personable, respectful, and thorough in his explanation of the work. The work was done in a timely and efficient manner, the work zone was left in clean condition and the installation itself appears to be very neat and professional. My strong impression is that Tony and his co-owner, Ed, are two highly experienced and professional craftsmen in this business who take pride in their work and I appreciated having the actual owners, not salesmen and crews, developing the proposal and performing the installation. The entire experience, beginning with Lisa at the office, Ed, who developed the proposal, and finally with Tony and his team, was excellent and I will certainly hope to engage them for future HVAC needs.

Great! Ed studied the hot water system and explained how the various parts should function. He replaced one part that was not doing its job, then deeply purged the entire system. He was very knowledgeable and focused on his work. He was from the fourth company we had out and the first technician we felt totally comfortable with. The first company jumped right away to replacing the entire system. That was a red flag, thus the four interviews. The repair Ed did cost under $200 and the system is working just fine.
