Description of Work: They didn't even bother to pull a permit so got shut down by the city during a rain storm. It caused water damage they didn't fix, and they never fully finished the job. They were quick to try to get paid, but not to actually do the work. Completely sub par performance and service.

Description of Work: They came out and gave me a free estimate for the house that I'm buying.

Description of Work: The answered the phone, took my request for an estimate, arrived looked at the job from the roof, gave me a fair price and handed me a written work order all within an hour and a half. There were 2 cancellation due to the rain but they called me before 7am to let me know so I was very appreciative about that - they didn't leave me hanging. | |They did a complete roof tear 0ff of several roofs, installed a new rubber roof and did a thorough clean-up. The installers worked non-stop for almost 12 hours. The bosses stopped by a few times to check on them and I was able to chat with them about the whole job. This was a very positive experience.

Description of Work: Replaced a bathroom skylight. All work was done from the roof when we were not home. There was a little debris left inside, since the contractor had no access to the interior. However I was glad to have the work completed the without having to take off from work. It took a few months to get them out there, but the workmanship is excellent. We also previously used them to replace our roof.

Description of Work: I called John about a roof his company did 4 years ago. We had a home inspection and the inspector recommended to have a few seams resealed and some flashing repaired. John called me back right away and was out the next day to look at the situation. He was able get the work done right away. So rare that people are punctual and stand behind their work but City Wide does.

Description of Work: I had a persistent leak in my kitchen roof off and on for many years. I have had several roofs put on through the years and the leak continued to come back. Ed came out and took pictures of the roof. It was bad. Had the roof done about 7 years before that and Ed explained that they didn't put it on correctly along the edges among other things. Told me someone would be out in 2 weeks. The guys came out 2 weeks later and did the roof. Again they took pictures to show what they had done. The roof was finished. It didn't rain for a good while after that. It rained sometime in January and the roof leaked a bit. I called them and they came out within 2 days. they said the roof looked tight but they caulked above the windows on the 2nd floor and in the corners of the bay siding. We have had several really hard rains since then and it is holding up great. They were all very professional and I would recommend their services to anyone. PS ...the price was just a bit higher than the price that I had paid 7 years earlier. Thanks. Nancy Wilkins

Description of Work: 2 roofs re rubber-ed, gutter spouts replaced, all flashing around edges replaced and sealed. These guys are the best, 2 crews did the work, 1 crew of 2 men the first day to lay the rubber, the second day 4 men showed up and layed the flashing, nailed it into place, layed the tape and tar goo around the tape and edges to prevent them from leaking or lifting. Im an ex roofer so I inspected their work as did another roofer friend of mine and we both found it to be some of the finest rubber work we have seen. Very satisfied!! Michael Nino

Description of Work: City Wide Roofing came under the umbrella of Tasker Property Contractor(John Palermo). The were to put a new roof on my house. Also put a new roof on the little roof on the Laundry Room and put a glaze on the front porch roof. After they finished the job and it rained the roof leaked in my new bathroom. I had to use 2 buckets over night to keep the water from going on the first floor. They came to fix the leak and the roof leaked again. The sheet rock had to be replaced because of the large leak in the bathroom. I requested my certificate or warranty and had to call back three times before they finally sent out the roof warranty. The glaze that was put on the front porch roof dripped on the front steps and dripped on the front of the house frame leaving a very poor look to the house. It was sloppy and looked a mess. I called about this and someone said that it would be taken care of . It was not. I called again and finally the last week of December they came out to fix the second leak in the bathroom and they put a covering on the front porch roof to cover the drips and spillage look at the front. They did not try to remove the dripping or spillage at all. They tried to cover it with a piece of metal and the dripping is covered half way but it can still be seen under the metal they put on the porch. Still looking a mess. I have now had a painter come in and paint my new bathroom. Since it has not rained in the last few days I am unsure as to whether the problem is truly solved. I will let you know if it leaks again. As to the front of the house I am still upset. I would not recommend this company to anyone. The contractor explained that I was getting a real break in price of $7000.00. CityWide was really suppose to charge me $9000.00

Description of Work: I called City Wide Roofing on August 25, 2011 to schedule an appointment for an estimate for a new roof. I spoke with Harry. I explained that in order to access my roof, a ladder higher than 40 feet was needed. Harry said that would not be a problem, took down the information, and said someone would be in touch with me to schedule the appointment. On Friday, their employee Jimmy O'Connell called and we scheduled an appointment for Tuesday, August 30, 2011. I again explained that a ladder higher than 40 feet was needed in order to access the roof. On August 30, 2011, Mr. O'Connell arrived with a 40 foot ladder. Since he could not climb up to the roof with the 40 foot ladder, he rescheduled the appointment for the next day, August 31, 2011 between the hours of 8-8:30 am. He claimed that this way I would be the first customer and would not have to wait all day. On August 31, I waited and waited. At about 9:30 AM, Mr. O'Connell called to ask, "Are you going to be home sometime today so I can inspect your roof?" He had NO recollection of the appointment that he made the day before. I told him that I was waiting for him because he was supposed to be at my house between 8-8:30 am. He responded that he had gotten his appointments mixed up and that he would get here as soon as he could with NO approximate time mentioned. I hung up the phone and, after thinking about this, I called him back and told him not to bother coming. I then called City Wide Roofing directly. The man who answered was not Harry but someone else. I proceeded to explain to him about what had happened and HE JUST LAUGHED! There was no apology. Please DO NOT USE this company. I certainly never will.

Description of Work: Roofer repaired front cap on soffett (area between roof and stucco) on rowhouse. as well as leak around rear 2nd floor window that was dripping into lower roof. Excellent knowledge on estimates. Work was done timely fashion.

Description of Work: We had to call them twice. The second time they said they didn't have a record of our calling and they would send someone out to give us an estimate. No one came & no one called. Since they were rated A we were disapointed with Angies list for rating them A.

Description of Work: Based on the reviews, I emailed this company via Angies List for an estimate of roof work, and never received a response.

Description of Work: My complaint is that I called twice to ask someone to come out and look at my patio awning that was damage from the winter snowstorm, On my initial call I left a message, and the other time I spoke to someone and gave my information. I was told someone will be in contact with me. As of today, no one has contacted me. Maybe its a good thing they didn't, due to the fact I may have problems with them in the future.

CITY WIDE ROOFING CAME, ASSESSED THE SITUATION, LEFT THE ESTIMATE IN MY MAILBOX, REPAIRED THE ROOF WITH A GRANULATED TOP THAT DOES NOT NEED TO BE COATED EVERY THREE YEARS, LIKE THE REST OF MY ROOFS, CLEANED OUT THE GUTTER AND INSTALLED ONE NEW LINE FOR THE GUTTER. I NOW HAVE A 15 YEAR GUARANTEE ON A NICE ROOF.
