Marcy and her team are great. They were the middle of three quotes we received, but it was Marcy's customer service that won me over. On the day of service, the team showed up on time as promised (7:45am); they were finished by noon. It started raining as they worked, but they did not let that stop them. They mailed pictures of the finished product shortly after the job was completed. I've already referred them to a friend.

Castelli roofing did an excellent job. They initially met with my wife to see the roofs and give estimates. She felt VERY at ease with Jimmy and Nicholas, she said they did not seem as if they were trying to take advantage of her lack of knowledge. Marcy gave us an estimate (via an e-mailed and very detailed word document, spelling out all costs) according to Jim's findings, FYI the estimate was in-line with other estimates we received. She explained the process and options in a thorough yet succinct manner and I did not feel as if I was being "sold" on anything. Once we decided to continue with them I gave them a deposit check and work began 4 business days later. They arrived 4 minutes early (at 7:56am), introduced themselves and went right to work. The job ended up taking a day and a half, at the end of the first day Jimmy gave me a detailed explanation of the work completed and what they planned on doing the next day. They arrived on time again the second day and gave me the option of climbing on the roof to take a look at their work (of course, I had to sign a waiver). Robert (the lead), walked me through the work that was completed and everything looked great!!! I also was informed that they missed 2 small over hanging roofs (abt 12 total square feet) and much to my delight, they did those for free!!! They finished the job about an hour earlier than expected, they packed up and swept my driveway and walkways. In closing, I would like to say that Castelli's workmanship, professionalism and demeanor are top notch. I wish every contractor I worked with behaved in the manner and with the integrity that they do.

Castelli arrived when promised and did a thorough job. Although we had significant leaks before they made repairs in the two significant rains since the work the roof has been leak free. Castelli communicated clearly on the nature of the work and the expectations on when it would be done. My only minor complaint was that it was difficult to arrange an initial inspection/assessment but I chalk that up to being busy.

The roof maintenance went well, but the skylight was an issue. Told the office manager that I wanted a clear glass non- operational skylight. The day of the install I get a call and am asked if they can install an operational skylight. I agree assuming it it clear glass and residential. When I got home, I had a frosted skylight with a metal box and a 6 ft chain hanging in the middle of my bathroom. I called to explain that it was not acceptable and they then ordered me a plastic clear skylight, so again not glass but I accepted. Once installed, it was frosted. I told the installer I wanted clear and h told me it was clear over white, if I wanted see through, I need to order clear over clear. As a typical consumer, I would never have known that. To replace it with what I wanted, they wanted me to split the cost of the skylight. I was frustrated and gave up. They did a good job, but clearly don't educate their customers when multiple options are available.

Everything went great. I ordered the Roof Certification and Inspection deal, knowing that my roof was due for a replacement, so when they reported that my roof needed replacing, it was pretty much what I was expecting. The estimate for the roof replacement was also around what I expected to pay. Communication was good, and they were very professional about everything. I also asked for pictures of the work done on my roof and they had no problem complying with my request. I won't know how good of a job they did until maybe after some heavy rain or snow, but for now I'd say they were excellent and would recommend.

They were quick and professional. They were even early. They did the work when I wasn't home. They had given me a quote for everything, broke it down into an itemized invoice which was helpful. I had them revise it and send it back so I could get the price where I needed it. I paid a third of it before they scheduled. It only took them a couple of hours. They tarred around chimney because they saw a couple of issues. They took care of it for me. I have recommended them to some other friends, and I would recommend them again!

In Philadelphia it is very hard to find a good roofer. Most just muck it up and use the cheapest materials necessary. When we bought our house over fifteen years ago, a Victorian Twin in need of massive work, there was an ornate metal cornice that had a huge hole. We did the cheap route then and mucked it up and over the years in a wind driven rain water damaged continued to get inside the house. For the last two years, we could not stand it anymore and I decided to get quotes to repair the roof. On the high end we had Russell Roofing take a look, they do historic houses in the city and for our small repair it would cost 35K minimum. I must have gone through ten roofing company's most would not touch the work. When I finally reached Castelli roofing I spoke with Marcy and she told me to e-mail pictures of the hole in the cornice. She was extremely professional and though they were busy she did not forget about me and had one of her guys Jimmy take a look at what needed to be done. I told him I did not want to muck it up and wanted to see if we can find a solution that would not be expensive but would still match the character of the house. When we got our estimate it was extremely reasonable and because it was not that expensive a job Marcy allowed us to pay after all the work was done. To me this gesture just shows that they are not all about the money. They are about pleasing their customers and helping to get things done in a timely manner. Typically, roofers during this time of year are always busy and it's so hard to get on their schedule but Marcy had Jimmy come out the following week. Because I travel a lot I was not able to see the job and after the job was complete there were a few things that still needed fixing. I e-mailed the pictures to them and explained the area that needed to be addressed so that ice does not bind to the cornice during an ice or heavy snow storm. Marcy had Jimmy come back to schedule the work when I was available and Jimmy and I talked it through and he knew exactly what to do and executed the completion of the job perfectly. I can not tell you how pleased I am that after so many years and so many roofers that we found the perfect guys to do this critical repair and that did not cost a fortune, had great experience with older homes, and who put the customers first. It's rained a few times since and no leaks. We are extremely happy! Thank you Marcy and Jimmy for being great Philadelphia roofers! We will definitely use you again for our needs in the future!

Great, The men did all the work outside and everything was in its proper place when I returned home later They left me pictures of my new roof and a copy of the certification and guarantee in my mailbox Most importantly they came when promised with no delay in the schedule. 2 days after I paid my deposit for the work,everything from the estimate was exactly completed

I wanted to write this review for a long time but never had time. Life always stand on my way.... I am restoring my old house for the second year in a row.... Last year I had an emergency as roof was leaking like Niagara fall and unfortunately I was so desperate to fix it. To my unfortunate it was pick season for roofers and it was very difficult to get a hold of anyone. Finally 2 companies came back to me. At the end I decided to go with Castelli only because they could start later than the other co (stupid woman's logic - Castelli should be better as they are so busy compare with other co) Big mistake. My other big mistake was to pay all amount upfront (just to show them that I am a good client- never do it!) In any event they arrived and did their job. I felt really bad for the guys as it was one of the hottest days! Usually I watch the job in progress but it was so hot that I was not watching. Job was finished in 2 days. From outside looked good. Then rain passed and I saw a leak from one of the side of the roof. I called Marcy and someone passed by and said that there was hole in a side which was not patched so he did put some roofing patching. Then my husband came and after looking at the roof he said the job is good for the people who do not understand anything in roofing. First of all my husband pointed that the roof was not heated. Then the flashing is lousy and the last they connected all water drain from all roofs to one water drain -" no no" situation as it cannot stand all this water fall. I called Marcy about heating the roof and the first reaction from her was: who allowed you to walk on the roof as it is under the warranty. "YOU SHOULD BE KIDDING ME"!- my reaction was. After I informed her that it was my husband who inspected the roof she said that she'll send someone to check it.....and the person is still coming........one year later....no show.... But I do not expect them and I shall never use them or recommend to anyone. Maybe for someone who doesn't care they are OK but I work with people who do things RIGHT! Bye bye Castelli Roofing...you'll never have my business!

Great. No complaints. Had a quote done, sent in the money, scheduled a date, came home and it was done. Haven't been up there myself to check out the quality but they told me the materials and process they use for a standard flat top row home roof, and with a garauntee of 15 years I trust it's a quality job.

Marcy was very fair and straightforward about giving me the price quote and answering my questions. The price was exactly as given on the estimate. After I paid my first deposit on the work, it took about two weeks to schedule a crew to come out and do the work. They started early and were done by 1 p.m. on the same day. They left without installing the downspout, but when I called to ask about it, they came back immediately. The workers also provided photos of the new roof, a signed roof certification, and a 15-year warranty. My old roof was degraded and causing small leaks, but despite the rainy summer, since the Castelli crew put on my new roof, I haven't seen any wet spots or signs of trouble even in the heaviest downpours. I'm happy with their work and would use them again.

This is the second job I have used Castelli to complete. As with the roofing job at my other property, in this case they were very easy to deal with. Marcy and Robert are great with communication and scheduling. The estimator was on time right to the minute. The work crew showed and completed the work exactly as scheduled. The quality of their work is excellent, and the crew do a great job, from the job itself all the way through cleanup. I highly recommend Castelli.

Our roof continually leaked during storms, and Sandy was the final straw. Unfortunately, insurance wouldn't cover the roof repair, so we shopped around for a best price. Castelli Roofing came through-they had a great price, and repaired and replaced what was needed in one day. They were timely, professional, and a pleasure to work with. I highly recommend them.

Overall, the price was good and competitive with other quotes that I got. At times it was little difficult getting ahold of them, they were super responsive in returning phone calls or emails. But in the end, the job went well and everything looks good.

I waited a considerable amount of time to provide a review to ensure two problem leaks had been stopped. One leak had been recurring over several months (a ghost leak) even after prior fix attempts. After many significant rain storms, Iam extremely pleased to note no reocurrences. Marcy was easy to contact and talk with, and all of the work was completed in one day. I was at work during the process, but, when I came home, the new drain spout looked good and everything was left nice and tidy. Compared to other estimates I received, the price seemed affordable. The roof was replaced 11/13 and I had no problems even with all of the snow this past winter. I would recommend Castelli to friends.

Castelli will take care of you - our roof was fraught with problems and we felt we were working with professionals the entire time. Castelli worked directly with the historical commission allowing us to meet the requirements, they managed all the permits and certifications, and they remained flexible and responsive throughout the process. The project manager came by regularly (including Saturday) to check the progress. They even beautifully installed a treacherously placed skylight, and they are renovating our dormers to meet historical requirements. Most of all, Alex - the lead on the job - remained undaunted and worked tirelessly (sometimes until 8 PM). He proactively problem-solved a number of associated problems with the roof structure. He knows what to do and we felt safe with him. Our new roof is beautiful and we've already received compliments from another roofer.

Additionally, when Robert provided the larger circumference downspout, it meant they also had to tie the larger downspout into the existing drain underneath my deck. They did a great job of doing this, and you can hardly see where they had to cut the deck and make the join - totally smooth and flat. In addition, both Marcy and Robert were extremely professional, friendly, accessible, and answered all my questions. I think the price for all this was very fair and reasonable/competitive. And all the work is guaranteed for two years. I will definitely be calling them again in five years when it's time to re-coat the top roof!

I had a great experience with Castelli Roofing. They were honest with estimates of the job and work with my budget, to get majority of the work done. I will use them for the additional work needed on the house. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a good roofer.

I have a flat roof and an addition that was put on my home. The problem area is where the addition meets the house. Castelli sealed all problem areas and re coated the roof.

I recently had a new roof and gutters installed. Castelli's was great- they came out quickly to provide me w/ an estimate and gave me a thorough explanation of why they were recommending the work. On the day that service was performed Castelli's arrived on time, were polite and answered all my questions. I would recommend them to anyone that needs a new roof or general roofing repairs.

It was hard to get them to come and give me an estimate. I guess it was a busy time of the year so it took a while for them to come out and do the estimate. In terms of what they were doing and in terms of the other estimates that I got, I thought they were better priced. They were really quick. The work that they did was really quick. They were able to answer questions. I was a little disappointed in one area because I needed some woodworking replacement on my front window, he said that a carpenter needed to do that. He said that he was going to recommend someone but he never mentioned it for me. They were pretty professional.

We used Castelli in the past to coat our roof, so I called them after we found our drain spout caked in ice at least an inch thick, which made us think our gutter had a clog in it, froze, and then burst. Marcy said they couldn't do anything immediately since conditions were too icy to have anyone safely on a roof. She said they'd put me on their list to call once the weather got better. On the first day where temperatures went above freezing, I got a call from Marcy while I was at work saying the roofers has been there, found the problem, and fixed it. I was amazed at how quickly they responded! Plus, because they'd done work for us so recently (I think they coated our roof last year), they didn't charge us for the repair. We're very happy with the work they've done for us, their response time (when I initially called about the problem, it was a Sunday night, and I got a call back Monday morning), and their professionalism.

We are presently living in Virginia and were in dire need of a roofing company for our house in Philly. We needed a roofer to come out and examine our roof for insurance purposes. We were under a time limit and could not meet with anyone personally so everything took place over the phone. My husband spoke with Mrs. Zammer and she was very responsive to our requests. She was able to get a roofer out to our home within a few days even though the weather was snowy & extremely cold. She was also concerned about the safety of the roofer which we understood. We had no idea what to expect regarding the condition of our roof. The Castelli's were very honest and reliable. We had a few minor issues with our roof but nothing extreme. They were able to apply roof cement, roof fabric and an additional application of roof cement for our flat roof. They also installed a new chimney cap to the roof. Considering that we were not in Philly to oversee the process, everything went very well. We would use this company again for roofing and other general construction.
