had an appointment on a monday. was told i would be called on friday with a time. that never happened. waited six days for this appointment to fix a built in refrigerator. on the day, the repair person was a no show. i was promised the first appointment the next day, close to 8:00 a.m. it is now 9:30 and they are still a no show. no one has called. it is impossible to reach them by phone. they do not return calls or messages left in voice mail. and they pick up one out of every 2 or 30 calls placed. i’ve never encountered any company like this. it feels like you’re dealing with grifters. and i am baffled as to why anyone would rate them highly. GO ELSEWHERE. SERIOUSLY. YOU WILL BE SORRY. i am furious with myself for allowing myself to be jerked around by these people for a week. the wood floor in the living room is now beginning to warp.

After the second visit I asked for a different technician. They sent a more senior person. On his first visit he diagnosed the problem as being in one of two pumps. His second visit he replaced the less-expensive pump. That did not fix the problem. On his third visit (5th overall) he replaced the other pump. That finally fixed the issue and my dishwasher has been running fine since. They only charged me for the pump which actually fixed the problem.

Joe was extremely friendly, helpful, and efficient. He knew exactly what was wrong just from talking over the phone so he came with the new part needed all ready to replace. He was in and out of the house in 25 minutes and it was all fixed. Will definitely use again!

Not well. The technician told us it was a common, simple problem. Whatever he did lasted for a few days. I don't see much point of calling them back if they can't fix a simple problem.

"[Member Name Removed] Our technician; Carmen did show someone at your home what caused your dishwasher to stop. He did tell them this is a common problem, the lid on your drain pump cover came loose, (that small white ring that dislodged from the drain pump is the lid) this channels water through the sump to the drain pump. Your dishwasher will not run when this is loose. He showed someone in your home how to re-attach it (the small white ring that you pull) and said if it happens again in the next few days that he suggest to have us replace it (drain pump lid). Our records do not show that you called back. We were unaware that your machine was not working. We only received this review from Angie'[Member Information Removed] List. You paid the Trip/Diagnostic Charge of $91.80 ($85+tax). We stand behind our work as he stated during the service call. We do not just put parts in when they are not necessary. We recommend doing regular care and maintenance to your inside of your dishwasher (rinsing and wiping of your inter door, cleaning the filters, spray arm and pump) to remove any large food remnants. This helps prevent problems and saves time and money. As shown in your Care and Use Manual."

I submitted a review on the microwave repair 3/31/2017 with "F" rating. The company management reviewed the microwave switch sensor I replaced and took responsibility for the mistake. The provider gave me a full refund for the mis-diagnosis. Need to either remove or update the review made on 3/31/2017 because the issue has been resolved.

AJ Appliance were very helpful at first. Very responsive and had a technician come out within a few days of contacting them. Technician installed a new Broiler Ignitor but the broiler still didn't work. He called his boss who said we probably needed a new Broiler Burner. He stated that we would receive a call in 1-2 days to let us know how much the part would be and to set up an appointment to install it. After a week passed and I hadn't heard from anyone I called the store. A gentleman answered and said they were still looking to see if they could get the part. After another week went by I called and was given the run around, they finally sent me to a gentleman's voice mail named Mike. I left Mike a message and asked him to call me as it had been 2 weeks since the tech had been out and no one could tell me if they could get the part or not. A few days passed and Mike never called me back. I called another Appliance store and they sent someone out in 2 days and the technician that came out said AJ appliance didn't wire the Broiler Ignitor right so that is why it wasn't working. They installed a new Broiler Ignitor and the Broiler is working great now. Terrible service for responding to requests and terrible service for the technician not knowing what he was doing and wiring the Ignitor wrong. I would not recommend them and never use them again.

I was given a fair price on the purchase - below the suggested retail. And the salesman, Derek, was helpful in informing me of a time-limited rebate that would result in an additional savings. (Note: Some of that savings was taken up by the higher coast delivery charge, which included the estimated time for taking apart and reassembling the new washer and dryer.) Derek was also proactive in finding the exact model that I wanted and in arranging a convenient delivery date. Although the work took far longer than Derek estimated - it was supposed to be about two hours - the delivery team was conscientious and hard-working throughout the 5-hour process. Both the washer and the dryer had to be completely disassembled and carried into the basement piece by piece - in order to pass through an opening that was narrower than the 27" minimum dimension of the fully assembled appliances. The dryer was no problem and was apart and back together again within 30 minutes. But apparently Speed Queen had made a number of modifications to their front-loading washer - that the delivery team was unaware of - which made it much harder to disassemble and reassemble. Once the new machines were back together, they were tested to make sure everything was working well. I've now run a few loads of laundry through and they seem to be working as expected. And the machines have a full 5-year parts and labor warranty, so I feel assured by that. I would use AJ Appliances again for another major appliance purchase.

Service call went well. Very professional. Turned out that the gas odor was due to soot build up on oven burner. The tech cleaned it and charged me for the service call only. Very satisfied.

First I'd like to address the previous comments about not returning calls. They don't. I had to call and press 0 for someone to answer. The person i talked to went over all the details and i asked twice about the pricing. He explained the fee would be $83. And the gentlemen explained in detail and also told me to ask the person doing the repair about a senior discount. On the 22nd the repair man showed up on time and asked me what was the problem. I told him we needed the ignition replaced. He proceeds to take the oven apart and tells me that the electronic ignition needs to be replaced as if i didn't just tell him that! He says it's going to cost $153!!! Which is way more then i was told over the phone. When i asked him why the price was different then what i was quoted... He tried to explain to me that i misunderstood the conversation over the phone! And asked me why would the service call be only $83 when the part was $60. I asked him how would he know what was told to me when he wasn't the person i talked to. Them he told me that they don't do senior discounts anymore! But he had nothing to say or explain when i recanted in detail the conversation i had with the person over the phone! I was appalled that the repairman suggested i didn't know what i was talking about or misunderstood a $70price difference! I called them because they were close and I've been part their business several times but from now on I'll keep walking by it.

I've been using this company for many years.  The technicians get the work done.  They are very efficient but their customer service skills are not so great.  Ladies on the phone are very rude and treat customers like cattle at a cattle ranch.

Miscellaneous repairs for appliances related to preparing for sale of property.  Responded promptly to emails to schedule time for visit.  Timely scheduling didn't wait long for appointment.  Scheduler called day before service and provided window of service call.  Arrived on time and identified himself by name, Robert, and that he was representing AJ Appliance.  First visit I explained what the issues were with the appliances and he quickly assessed what was needed and what could be fixed on that day and what needed parts.  Refrigerator door handle loose and screws continuously loosened up and he found a quick and simple solution that  resolved the problem.  The other appliances needed parts so he said they would be ordered and  service scheduled.  On the weekend before the next scheduled visit, I had an additional problem with the washer and I called it in asking if it could also be fixed on the service date.  Robert appeared on time with all the parts and completed all the work.  In addition, he did not have the part for the washer but said he could get it and would come back in a few hours to fix.  He did and all the work was completed to my satisfaction.   Professional, prompt, and knowledgeable.
