Regarding the price, they did more, they explained to me why it cost more.  They actually have a big unit that sucks the dust out, and whatever is in your ducts.  They actually sucked that whole thing out. They went to each duct, and did that, and showed me the results.  Where as they said that some of these companies only charge a hundred or two, and only go and vacuum out the ducts from the floor level.  It worked, because I've been sneezing much less.  I was really sneezing a lot before they did it, and I thought let me try and see if this works, and sure enough, I've hardly sneezed since that. I would say that they are thorough, and careful that they got everything clean.  I would recommend them.   

This company was contacted by my home warranty company to repair my heater in the late winter and I decided to purchase the maintance contract with them to work with the same company for all of my HVAC service. Their package was a bit cheaper than a larger company as well. When the technician came to service the AC unit, he noticed that it wasn't level and asked if I had any wood or something he could use to level the unit. because there is a pretty steep decline from the front to back yard, the unit had been pretty significant not level for 10 years and nobody bothered to mention it, much less fix it. I really appreciated that he took the time to fix it so it can work better and maybe last longer.

Install went well, punctual. I was happy with the price. I didn't know much about these systems (changeover from oil). It wasn't until a year and a half later that I learned of several issues: 1. Unit was supposed to be installed with an exterior intake. It wasn't. 2. After several error messages on the unit and time without hot water, we learned that the installers made an error at install by leaving the unit set to a 'Natural Gas' setting when we were using propane. It was explained to me that this uses more propane than necessary, costing me hundreds more dollars for the year in propane costs. When I followed up with NS Johnson about this I got no reply. 3. Several attempts were made to contact NS Johnson for emergency service (including using their emergency answering option) because we had no hot water. We received no response until 2 weeks after the initial call. Somehow, 2 weeks without hot water is acceptable to this vendor. We are no longer waiting for this vendor. They lost the opportunity to provide service to our home in the future. We lost the $ in extra propane costs and are left hoping that the errors they made don't cause future damage to the unit. Also, we now need to pay another vendor to come and inspect/correct the unit and correctly install the intake.

It cost $3000 for them not to fix it and $127 for another company to come and fix it. They are supposed the be Trane specialists, but they don't know what they are doing. They couldn't figure it out and we roasted. They kept coming back for a month and they gave me a new thermostat and they couldn't get that to work either. I don't know how they are in business. I called them quite often. They were late and didn't even make their appointment. I had to call them.
