I really like them. They were really on it and on time. They were there when they said they'd be there and they were friendly. Their price was fair and I would use them again.

We purchased our home in February of 1992 and had been dissatisfied with the heating and air conditioning systems from the beginning.
We have a 2nd floor bedroom with cathedral ceiling. It was always 15 to 20 degrees colder than the main level of the house in the winter and 15 to 20 degrees hotter than the main level in the summer. The same situation existed with our finished basement, where it was always 15 degrees colder than the rest of the house.
Johnsons had been providing regular service on our HVAC equipment since we purchased our home.
On one occasion in the fall, Johnsons technician came up from the basement looking white as a ghost and asked if anyone in the home was sick. He had discovered a gaping hole in the heat exchanger that was allowing carbon monoxide to escape into the home.
Fortunately we had not suffered any ill effects.
Johnsons arranged to replace the heat exchanger, under warranty, saving us a significant amount of money (kudos to the Trane warranty).
Johnsons also explained that they suspected that a contributing cause for the failure was the design and instalation of the ducting in our house which was restricting air movement.
Johnsons proposed various inovative ways to add ducting and vents in our home to increase air flow. Being a handyman myself, over the next several years, I personally added ducting and vents to the upper and lower floors as they had proposed, with some improvement, but there was still a 15 degree temperature differential.
Then in the fall of 2010, during a routine check-up, Johnsons inspection of our HVAC system revealed impending failure of the Heat Exchanger for a second time. For the second time, Johnsons technicians performed a complete assessment of our HVAC systems and recommended inovative options to install additional ducting and recommended high end equipment that would continually adjust the system to meeting the cooling/heating loads correcting all of the problems.
We decided to bite the bullet and go for the 'full monte', top of the line equipment, because we plan on living here the rest of our lives.

I have to say that that decision was the correct one.
Not only was the work performed by Johnsons excellent, on schedule as promised, with follow up visits, but the result is a phenominal improvement in the temperature differential between the levels of our home. While we still do have some difference between the 2nd floor, the main level and our finished basement, the difference is 5 to 10 degrees instead of 15 to 20 degrees.

I would recommend Johnson's Heating and Air Conditioning to anyone in need of routine maintenance or replacement of HVAC systems.
Note that they also have provided plumbing services to us with good results.

My central air conditioning was not cooling effectively and was freezing up at the evaporator coil and the outside unit as well. The technician performed a series of diagnostics and found a leak at the indoor evaporator coil. I had suspected a leak somewhere in the system, since I had just had it recharged last summer. The technician then provided me with several options for replacing system components, and I eventually decided to purchase all new equipment inside and outside. The service call and diagnostic fees were credited towards the cost/installation of the new equipment. The new system was installed approximately 10 days after I requested the new equipment and signed a contract for the work to be performed. On the installation date, the crew (3 men) arrived at my home right on time, and completed the installation in approximately 3 hours. The old equipment was removed from my home and hauled away in their truck - everything inside and outside my home was as clean at the end of the job as it was at the beginning.

I have used Johnson's Heating and Cooling exclusively for servicing my central air conditioner and furnace during the 9+ years I have owned my home. All of the technicians who have come to my home and serviced my furnace and A/C have been thoroughly professional, efficient, and courteous, so much so that I won't use any other company. Keep up the great work!

There was no charge because they found out that I needed a new furnace. They just credited it towards the new furnace. Overall, I had a very good experience with them. I think their price is probably a little more expensive. I would use them again in the future.

My central air conditioner wasn't cooling the house well enough. It got up to about 95 degrees outside that day and the temperature in the house steadily rose with the A/C on. I placed a service call on the emergency line (main number went to voice mail and mentioned an emergency phone number) at approximately 7:15pm, got a return call from a technician approximately 10 minutes later, who told me he'd be at my home within 30 minutes, which he was. He went right to work, examining the outside and inside components, and cleaned the outside unit and added refrigerant, after it was determined to be low. This is what I would have had done as part of a "spring tune-up", but hadn't had an opportunity to get done this year. After adding the refrigerant and cleaning the unit, he examined temperature drops, which were satisfactory. The job took an hour or slightly longer - neither rushed nor drawn out. Because I placed the call before 8pm (regular hours are 8am-8pm), no "emergency fee" applied - just the normal business hours service call fee, even though I had to call the emergency line.

They were excellent. They are a great company to work with. They are reasonable and the work is good. The price was great; it was half of what the other folks quoted me.

They were very responsive; they came right away on a weekend. They came on time and checked everything. They did the measurements for the furnace. They told me the kind of furnace they were going to put in. They gave me information regarding the brand or the thermostat they were going to use. Initially, I thought it would be a rip-off. However, they put the furnace and air conditioning in, which worked very efficiently. When they came, they put everything down and wore booties so they didn’t ruin the carpets. When they left, there wasn’t a piece of wiring or metal around; they completely cleaned up after themselves. They were really thorough and nice. They were very efficient. The quality of their work was exceptional. Their pricing was the same as the others. They gave me a good deal. They have a 24-hour emergency service. They have a place where they move your dock work and do the work themselves. This way they don’t have to get it done elsewhere. They stand behind everything; if you need them they are available 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. I am very satisfied with Johnson’s Heating & Air Conditioning.
