"Hello, Thank you for the opportunity to provide you an estimate. In response to your review, the garage doors I quoted you do not cost me the same. We have a home show discount that runs until the end of April, and my discount is for both the R-Value 6.5 and 12.9. The discount to our customers is coming in around 10% to 12.5% less than our regular pricing. I believe you may have spoken to another company that was getting a discount only on one model (R12.9) and not both, therefore their pricing for the R12.9 and R6.5 would have been roughly the same. Even though we were running this special, it is the same exact install we do year round without short changing the install to get to a certain price point. As you had mentioned when I was there, some companies were re-using hardware from your current door, and some were modifying your door height. We were doing neither of those things. Re-using hardware would void your warranties from any manufacturer, not just the manufacturer we quoted. We strive to give the best value to our customers by doing a proper install that we can stand behind. While this does not necessarily mean the lowest price, we can always say we are doing the install that we are proud of and not one we would have to apologize down the road if there were any issues. Even though you told me you and your wife were probably going to select the lowest priced company, I realized we were not going to be your final selection, and I would have to change the install that we normally do to get to the price points you were quoted. That is not something I am willing to do with the warranties we provide our customers. I hope your install goes well with the company you selected.
