Middleby Plumbing

I was working in the basement, and I heard water dripping. As it was high summer and the AC was pulling moisture from the air and draining it, I did not think too much of the sound. Then I noticed that it continued after the AC had shut off for a while. Upon a quick examination of the utility area, there was a fair amount of water coming from under the water heater. I spent an hour draining the tank and soaking up the water that had escaped, and called Middleby Plumbing. Mr. Middleby was a little hard to get scheduled, since he's so busy, but once scheduled he arrived on time (we had no hot water for two days). All work was done to the highest standards, and with a professional demeanor. He was patient with me when I decided that the tank should be moved a few feet from the original location, and got all the lines moved fairly quickly. He completed a gravity driven hot water loop from the basement where the tank was located to the second floor where there are two bathrooms. He also installed a new drain for the pressure relief valve and pan. The entire process took several hours. After he had gone, I noticed that the pressure relief valve was triggering every time the hot water was used. I called him again, and he returned the next day to install an expansion tank. After the last of the air pockets worked their way out, the system worked flawlessly - we now have instant hot water in our two upstairs bathrooms where we used to have to run the water for almost a full minute to get it hot.
