Greensward Turf Care

Talked with Matt from Greensward Turf today, 7/11/2024, due to requested his service for to aerate for this coming Fall. The issue goes back to this past fall where he did aerate my yard but I called him to discontinue service for now due to having inground pool built (I left 2 messages) but came anyway and expected 2 payments which I called and he stated he is a small business and this non-payment will hurt his business. Why would he say this when I was proactive and stated not to come due to the construction. Needless to say, he was nice enough when I called a couple of weeks ago to aerate my yard again but my husband was thinking of waiting to add concrete instead and I called him 7/9/2024 to wait and I will let him know. I called him 7/10/2024 to state that he can aerate yard due to concrete would be too expensive. He refused to provide me with services because of changing my mind and incorporating that last year he came when told not to and wanted payment. I am a customer and I feel why would a business do this when the customer did nothing wrong. I have been through so much with this pool installation and for a business not too understand and talk to someone like this and refuse service. For what??? I have never experienced treatment from a business that should be understanding and honest to not expect money in 2023 when told my yard would be destroyed but came anyway. To hold this against me..... Is this allowed? I am an honest person. Why would a business do this?

I saw some crab grass and I called them about it and they came back.

Fine. Actually, I have been using this company for many years on a yearly contractual basis. The applications will resume in mid-March.

Personnel call to let you know they are coming. They have always come when they said they would. Personnel have always been professional and polite. Lawn is looking better and will hire them for next year's treatment.

The do a good job, and they're reasonably priced.

Greensward Turf Care is the best guy in the planet for landscaping. He is the best. He delivers the best. The results are the best that I have ever had for any service. He is a local guy. He is a good guy. He is very prompt. If I have any other issues he always comes out and we study and try to figure out what the problem is and then look for a solution. He is very reasonable. He is great. He always calls ahead. He is always timely, prompt. We have a pool in the back and he always makes sure that none of the chemicals gets in the pool. He is reasonable. He is very professional. He does what he says he is going to do and he does a good job of it. I give him an 'A' on everything. As long as he is still in business, I am going to use him.

When we first started using their services, our lawn was a mess. It had many types of weeds, and was dying in areas of the yard. Within two years we noticed how much it had improved. Our neighbors lawn has tons of weeds, but you can see exactly where the property line is because we don't have any weeds, and our lawn is much greener and constant.
The staff is very professional and friendly. They were responsive to the problems we had after flooding had degraded the yard. I will continue to use them in the future. We have been a customer for 8 years.

I have a new lawn (less than 6 months old). I chose Greesward Turf Care over other well known lawn services because of the owner's commitment to excellence.  Chris knows what he is doing, uses the best of products, and he is committed to satisfy his customers.  So far, I am very pleased with the results of my lawn.

They have been really good. They are prompt. They know their business. They've done a good job to the yard, I think it looks better. I have been very happy with them.

Each treatment has improved the look of our lawn.  I was hesitant to spend money on a treatment plan, but it's proving to be well worth it.  I expect the lawn to continue improving and plan to continue using Greensward into the future.

My main contact with them was Elliott and he was fantastic.  The only reason I stopped using them was because I moved to the State College area and that is too far outside of their service area.  I had tried Scotts and those other commercial type providers in the past and Greensward Turf Care was by far the best and also less expensive.  They would call me the day before they came out, just to be sure it was okay.  Everytime I called them and left a message, they always returned my call.  They would answer any questions I had and if I had a request for something, they would take care of it for me.  I was with them from March of 2011 until March of 2013, when they did my last service.  During that time our lawn went from being filled with weeds, dandilions, clover and being brown to a full green and lush yard that I was proud of.  This was also after I had been with Scotts for 2 years prior to hiring Greensward.  In that time, my lawn never looked as good as it did when Greensward was treating it.  They also serviced several other homes on my street and they also had green and full lawns, so it wasn't just something special with my lawn.  If you go with Greensward Turf Care, you won't regret it.
