We wanted a bath remodel but as we have only one full bath we were seeking to have it done while we were away in Australia from November 16 . 2022 through December 1, 2022. My wife works from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. as an Oncology nurse at a local hospital and needs a daily shower and sleeps in the house during the day so we did not want noisy construction going on during the day. We were very clear we needed the job done while we were gone. We got a text with a photo showing the demolition of the walls and removal of the tub/ shower sheet rock and vanity on November 22, 2022. We we arrived home on December 1, 2022 there wasn't any more work done and wee had no bath to use. We called the contractor who said he had so many other jobs and couldn't get a crew out and that he never said this was going to be finished by December 1, 2022. On November 23, 2022, the contractor locked himself out of the house although we gave him a key and he had to call locksmith to re-enter. The sheet rock was also put up but when we returned on December 1, 2022 we did not have a toilet, shower or sink. We called the contractor and over the next several days there was tile work done on the floor and in the shower. We noticed the shower had gaps in the tile was uneven and sunken in places, there were gaps in places and the edge was crooked where the shower met the drywall. The tile on the floor was uneven with sharp ridges that scraped your feet. We conferenced these issues with the contractor who at first said it was because the tiles he provided were of poor quality and that the manufacturer was to blame, then he said well, we choose that tile. After much discussion he agreed to remove all the tile and replace the tile with smaller tiles with beveled edges, he also indicated he fired the tile installer who did our work. he said he would remove and reinstall the tile and have the job completely redone in 6 days. We did not hear from him for two days Two days later he came in with some workmen and said he would not replace the tile but he was going to attempt to repair it because it was to much of a job to remove and reinstall the tile as he had promised. Things broke down and I told him that was unacceptable and if he was not going to do what he said he should stop the work and i would hire someone else. I demanded my money back and he refused. He left and we have not spoken since. I am without a working bathroom and have to go to the local gym to take a shower as does my wife.

"We've been very accommodating to your needs from the beginning when you accepted our proposal. Proposal was sent 11/7, you accepted 11/9 after business hours, & requested the job be started 11/15. We had a nice conversation explaining the process, where I expressed the actuality of starting 11/15 was going to be hard to do, you understood. You understood enough that you signed our contract that stated we would tentatively start the week of 11/21 & we would complete within 10-14 days, meaning an end date between 12/7-12/13. We were very empathetic to your wife's work schedule & your need to get this done, so we quickly made the necessary arrangements & our best efforts to do so. To imply we didn't complete any work from 11/22-12/1 is absurd. We were physically on site 8 days, where we completed 95% of the work. Demolition took place on 11/22. It is worth noting this was Thanksgiving week, we did not work 3 days. We installed the tile on 12/1 & 12/2 & painted the entire bathroom on 12/3, which is when we were made aware of your concerns that evening in a text. The owner came to assess your concerns on 12/4 & offered some resolutions. We were there 12/5 & installed the shower fixture, vanity & sink top, and toilet, leaving them fully operational. We attempted to come back on the 9th day (final day 12/6) to complete the contracted work and rectify the concerns you had, however, you would not allow us to do that unless we ripped out all of the tile work that had been completed. We offered fixing all areas of tile that were concern. You declined. Ripping up the floor and replacing with new tile (there was nothing wrong with the tile installed, yet we were willing to work with you), but because we could not within reason agree to do that with the shower, you declined. We then offered a refund to cover what it would cost to have someone else redo the tile, you declined. I don’t believe anything we have offered has been unreasonable. I hope we can come to a respectful resolution. All the best, Kaitlyn Vice President"

In a word, Great! This was the most extensive job I’ve ever had done and I felt comfortable with Home Pro from the start. Scott, the owner, provided a detailed, clear, reasonably priced contract (actually he gave me the lowest bid.) Once the job started, he communicated with me on a regular basis and addressed all of my questions. The work of his subcontractors was of the highest quality and they cleared out each night by 5PM giving us quiet time that made the process much less stressful. I have used numerous contractors in the past and none compare with the ease and results I got from Home Pro.

Before providing my feedback on the Home Pro Total Home Improvements Company (HPTHIC), I want to provide a brief overview regarding my process. As a first step, I researched the top rated contractors across multiple consumer review platforms, starting with Angie's List, to compile a list of potential contractors to hire for my project. After doing a significant amount of research regarding the cost for a bathroom remodel of my scope, for my geographical location, along with setting some general guidelines for hiring a contractor, I requested and obtained multiple quotes. It is important to note that before getting "ANY" quotes, I created specific criteria to help equalize the cost estimates for material and labor. This added some consistency when comparing multiple quotes (apples vs. apples). That said, all of the cost estimates I received still varied, which was expected, with two quotes being "significant" cost outliers. At the completion of the process, I decided to go with HPTHIC – SIMPLY PUT – IT WAS A GREAT DECISION! As I did my initial research, I opted to select a contractor that would provide a labor only cost estimate. This allowed me and my wife to purchase fixtures, tile, lights, vanities, etc. that we wanted in order to achieve our “desired vision” for our bathroom remodel vs. being forced to select fixtures, vanities, etc. based on a contractors limited inventory. For any customer that wants to be efficient with their budget, in order to maximize each dollar spent, hiring a contractor for a - labor only fee or contract - is in my opinion, the best way to go. During the contractor review and selection process, HPTHIC consistently had some of the highest rated reviews of all of the contractors on my list. The website photos of their work was amazing and the feedback from prior customers had several of the most important descriptions that I look for before hiring a contractor, starting first with "outstanding workmanship", professional, personable, customer focused, integrity, flexible, fair cost estimate, solid record of success, etc. I could go on and on, but in my experience, HPTHIC exceeded all of my expectations. The quality of their work was both beautiful and improved the overall functionality of each bathroom ... simply outstanding. The HPTHIC teams, led by the owner, Scott Brown, were the consummate professionals. My wife and I were extremely pleased with the end results. As a point of reference, the initial timeline for the project was estimated to take 4-5 weeks, but it actually took about 10 weeks. However, this was not a problem for us because we did not require a specific deadline for the completion of the project. Please know that Scott uses sub-contractors and although they all did an outstanding job, the customer must be flexible regarding the project timeline. In our situation, a few of the contractors had other jobs happening at the same time as our project, so there was probably 5-7 days lost due to various scheduling conflicts. This, along with the couple of unexpected issues that developed (see below comments) was the reason for our extended timeline. I provided Scott with very detailed and specific guidelines for what we wanted to accomplish with the remodel, to best manage cost and ... to eliminate any unexpected surprises. At each step in the purchase process for fixtures, vanities, faucets, etc., I got input from Scott to make sure that the items I purchased would work with our overall bathroom design. But even with my preplanning activity, along with the input from Scott, there were still a couple of unexpected issues that materialized during the remodel. So when planning a remodel project, expect the unexpected, but try to make sure you and your contractor are on the same page. In my experience with Scott Brown, we were on the same page, every step of the way, from start to finish – NO SURPRISES! Now, for the couple of unexpected issues that developed during the remodel that required a workaround, thereby, somewhat contributing to the extended timeline, Scott and his team were great. Scott's exceptional level of professionalism never changed or wavered due to these unexpected issues. His response, "sometimes, these things happen, but we always find a solution." I was quite impressed with this response … as a homeowner; this type of reply was very reassuring! Also, in fairness to HPTHIC, I viewed the items I purchased (bathroom faucets and vanities) to be standard ... non custom items, however, from an installation perspective, there was a little more involved that required a couple of workarounds - nothing major - but nevertheless, the installation required additional steps. But Scott never flinched, he was always focused on consistently coming up with solutions that were both functional and cost neutral to my budget ... which is always important to the customer. In conclusion, I highly recommend The Home Pro Total Home Improvements Company (HPTHIC). I am sure that you will be extremely pleased with the quality of their work and you will be equally impressed with Scott Brown and his team of sub contractors. Equally as important as the quality of their work, at a fair price, Scott Brown is one of the nicest business owners ... contractors you will ever have the pleasure of meeting. Simply put, hire the Home Pro Total Home Improvements Company ... it will be a great decision and you will be extremely happy with the end results.

The project was delayed for about 2 weeks due to things beyond the owners control but he kept me informed. Once started the owner Scott kept me informed from day 1 to projects finish and it was nice that he listens to my concerns and he always dropped by every day to check on the progress, Scott is a well self spoken person and very honest which is very hard to find amongst all the contractors out there will definitely hire again for another project in near future. The reason i gave a B rating for the price is because it was a little higher then what other contractors would’ve charge but definitely lower then a few big companies out there but I didn’t regret picking Home Pro to remodel our bath well worth the price i paid

The room was well insulated inside, as well as under the floor in the crawl space.  New walls were put up along with Anderson Windows.  Two french doors were removed and replaced with more wall space and one french door leading into the new room from the kitchen.  New lighting was installed, and electrical sockets, as well as a wall hung heat pump.  A small closet was also built on one side, and the entire room was painted.  The roof and structure were not changed, but the room along with one side of the house was re-sided very nicely.
The team that was sent to our house was very talented, as well as professional.  Scott, the owner/ contractor was very easy to work with, I had no problems conveying my ideas and thoughts to him.

Aside from starting a week late due to weather conditions, and running slightly longer than anticipated,
this project was done to perfection. I was informed ahead of time by Scott Brown, the owner, that they were running behind, so, there wasn't a problem with schedules and such.  I cannot say enough about the attention to detail that was given by Home Pro 's Carpenter Tim. Nothing was too much trouble and his craftsmanship is impeccable. The Stone Mason that Scott had on the job did a show stopping project. Perfect.
Every little detail was completed to our total satisfaction. Scott was in touch either by cell phone or on site throughout the project. I would recommend Home Pro to any of my family or friends without reservation.

Scott the owner showed up within 24 hours of my call.
He gave me an estimate right away and the price was fair.
The work they did was unbelievable.
Tim who worked with Scott always showed up on time and the work was done
with accuracy and you could tell they both have been in the business a very long time.
I need my Master Bath done and they will be the guys I call.
I had a black and white bathroom and the tile work was very difficult and they did a great job.
I would recommend them to anyone.

This is not the first time we have worked with owner Scott Brown. We also hired his company Cambridge Landscaping when we had an I ground pool put in Dec. 2012. In both cases he came out talked to us about what we wanted. Gave helpful suggestions on things we many want to change. With the kitchen he suggested instead of a very small breakfast nook the space would be better suited for a pantry. Tim with over 30years of experience was put in charge of our kitchen project and his attention to detail is second to none. The kitchen job ran smoothly and we have a fabulous kitchen. We thank Scott and Home Pro and would not hesitate to use him in the future or to recommend him to our friends

Very well. I was impressed at the knowledge of the installer. He had a tricky situation to work under with the 2-story foyer, but was able to manage it by himself. Took two guys to sit up there for hours stringing the crystals on the chandelier, but they did it with no problem. The paint work came out great. I would highly recommend.

We found out about Home Pro from friends of ours after they recently renovated their master bathroom. After seeing the work, we gave Scott a call because we were interested in renovating our kitchen. Our friends raved about them but we were hesitant to hire contractors because we were burnt one to many times. Scott ended up coming out to see our kitchen and to talk about the project. We could tell from the very beginning that he was a professional. He provided us with design ideas along with suggestions for our future kitchen. He spent well over 2 hours  sitting with us to make sure he had everything he needed to properly quote the job. He left that night and let us know he would have the quote ready within a few days. We were surprised when he actually followed through with that because our other experiences with contractors.
He gave us a fair price. It wasn't outrageously high by any means but it wasn't the lowest quote we received. We were not interested in going with the lowest bid because my husband and I found out those projects always come in over budget anyway. Scott's quote was very detailed and explained everything he was doing in black and white language. We ended up choosing Scott because of the work he did out our friends house and the feeling we had when he came to our house. We could tell he was a true pro by the expertise and breakdown while we spoke about the project.
Scott and his guys showed up one time to start the job the first day. They were very friendly and helpful throughout the whole project. We were not looking forward to the down time in our home but it was not nearly as bad as we had thought it would be. They did everything they could to help remain functional throughout They finished the project on time and on budget and were extremely pleased with the final project. It was everything we thought it would be and more.
Scott has completely changed our opinions on hire contractors. It was a pleasant experience from the time he walked in our house to give us a quote to the time he walked me through my finished kitchen. We would highly recommend Scott and Home Pro to anyone who is doing any type of home renovation.

They did a great job!  They arrived early that morning and started around 7:30am.  They took a half hour for lunch and then plowed through the rest of the day until they finished at around 7pm.  The gutters were done on another day.  The roofers completed everything, including a careful cleanup all in one day.  It was awesome!  It was a clean, neat and comprehensive job.
