Mr. Waterheater started in 1981 installing water heaters in Pittsburgh, PA. The winning combination of better than competitive pricing and unparalleled service were used to build a successful specialty plumbing business. Expansion to other markets is the goal of this family owned business with three generations of plumbing professionals. The competitive environment in the plumbing industry combined with the public’s distrust of unscrupulous service providers are the backdrop for the development of the Mr. Waterheater brand and a better way of doing business. Mr. Waterheater is known for speed, integrity, ethics, low-cost pricing, and extraordinary customer service. Our company is run by people who understand what it takes to start a business from scratch, sell franchises of their business, and build it into a recognized and respected symbol of dependable, trusted service. Prior to owning Mr. Waterheater, the owners were successful in the plumbing industry. Family Owned & Operated. Additional DBAs - Mr Waterheater of Butler, Waterheater Inc. Award wining. "When you called in Saturday afternoon, we told you that we no longer service your area (Washington, PA). After telling you this, you said your existing tank was from 2012 and that it was still in warranty for a little while longer. Rather than having you call another plumbing contractor in your area who handles this manufacturer’s warranties, we made an exception and told you we could have someone come out Monday. Before doing any work/replacing the water heater, we quoted you $575.00. That included a service/trip charge, labor to replace the water heater, miscellaneous material /fittings and an upgrade fee to the new-style (more efficient) water heaters. The government mandated that water heaters conform to the new NAECA laws as of April 2015. When that happened, the water heater manufacturers were required to make water heaters more efficient. This in turn caused a significant price increase in water heaters…so when we replace an old-style water heater with a new-style (more efficient) water heater, there is an upgrade charge ($200.00). The manufacturer charges us an upgrade fee, so we unfortunately have to pass that along to the customer. For paying this upgrade fee, the manufacturer in turn will warranty the new/replaced water heater for another 6 years on the tank/parts (usually when a tank is replaced under warranty, the customer will receive the remaining balance of the warranty). This will make the warranty on the new water heater good until April 3, 2029. Our vehicles are also equipped with GPS’s, so we know exactly when a technician arrives and departs a job. Our technician arrived at your home at 11:05am and departed at 12:49pm, so he was there for 1 hour and 45 minutes. Factoring in the travel time and the time on the job, our technician had 3-1/2 hours of time involved with this job. We feel that this price is more than fair, considering all that was factored in to get to the $575.00 price that was originally quoted before we started the job."
