Beam Heating & Air Conditioning

He called about half an hour before he arrived to give me a time frame as to when he might be there- this was an after work hours call. He showed up promptly at the beginning of that time frame. He quickly assessed the problem, had the part and installed it. He answered all my random furnace related questions and suggested that I have it cleaned but would need to schedule that for another day. He did give me some tips for a cursory cleaning that might help with efficiency until I could schedule a cleaning. He was in and out in 25 minutes. Professional and efficient. I will be calling them back for future service.

Extremely disappointed with Beam's lack of customer service. We have used them in the past and they were fine, but I called twice this week trying to get a quote for a humidifier and both times was told someone would return my call shortly. The second time, they said the person had stepped out and would call me as soon as they got back. I never got a call. It is very disheartening to be treated this way when we have given them our business in the past. I will take my business elsewhere from now on.

It is a family owned business, they are very punctual, and professional, and they have one of the best prices around.

They are honest, on time and not pushy.

First we had Brian out to give us an estimate.  He was so nice and explained everything that he thought would be the best way for us to go with our current problem. We were very happy with the price he quoted us so we signed the contract, gave him the deposit, and picked a date for installation.   They came yesterday morning and started working.  They worked all day and I did not even hear them take a break to eat lunch.  When the installation was finished they were very good at explaining all of the features and things we needed to do and everything about this new furnace and air conditioner.   We have an awesome new touch screen thermostat that will allow us to work it from our phones. Then when I went down when everything was done I was amazed at how wonderful everything was cleaned up.  My laundry room was spotless and they hauled away all of the old furnace and air conditioner.  There was not a box, piece of cardboard or speck or evidence that any work was done at all.  Same goes for the outside where the new air conditioner was put in.  Beams have been taking care of our old furnace for years and they put in our hot water tank and I would never trust anyone else to do those jobs. Always very nice and professional.

Justin and co-worker did a great job. Very professional and friendly. Went in and did their job. Done in one day. Cleaned up and removed all old equipment including the boxes the new equipment came in. Very happy with them. Hired this company to do repair work in the past and I experienced similar results. My previous A/C unit was a Lennox and it provided good service for 22 years. It was still functioning when i replaced it.

I contacted this company as a follow up to another heating company telling me my furnace needed repaired or replaced because it was leaking high levels of carbon monoxide.
My call was answered right away and scheduled for one week out. Very professional.
Tech showed up as scheduled in the window time frame I was given.
Tech replaced the valve, but first he showed me how dirty the old one was and what a new one looks like.
He replaced the filter which I thought was done one week earlier by the previous company. However, the Beam tech showed me the old filter and it was obviously very old and had not been replaced.
Lastly, the tech took meter readings of the carbon monoxide levels which he showed me were zero. He assured me the furnace was safe, but suggested we get a carbon monoxide detector. He even told me some features to look for when I go to purchase one.
Cost for the service call was $82 and total cost for visit ended up at $86. Way better than the $6000 the previous company quoted me.

Would not hesitate to call for any heating and cooling problems. The worker found a slight problem with the wiring of the unit and fixed with no further expense. Very honest...

this is just an overall general review of the company.  I have used them many times over more than 15 years from installation of a heating system, air conditioning unit, whole house humidifiers, and yearly checkup/cleaning.  I would not have kept using their services if I was not happy with them.  I have referred them to 3 other people. 

I called to let them know I turned on my air conditioner and it did not work after a thunder storm.   They came and repaired the product in one day.  The cost was in line with what work they performed and they service tech was punctual and friendly.  He explained what was wrong and what needed done as well as the cost before repairing. I would highly recommend this company to anyone who is looking for a repair for their air conditioner.
Just to let you know Beam installed my Furnace and Air conditioner 21 years ago and check it on a regular bases.  They did a great job then and have continued throughout the years to assist me when needed. 

It was fine. The installers were on time and very professional. I have no problems in the 2 years since it was installed.

We needed our 11 year old A/C system replaced. I contacted Beam Heating and Cooling and company president Brian Dick visited our home the next day and gave us an excellent price on a Lennox 3 ton, SEER 14 system including the outside unit, A-coil, all lines and sheet metal work. This was on a Thursday and Brian made the arrangements for the work to be done the following Tuesday at 8:00 AM
The Beam installation experts arrived at my home on Tuesday exactly at 8:00 AM.  The two man crew, led by Ron, worked nonstop for four hours straight until the installation was complete. They had to removed the old system and stall all the new equipment. Ron also fabricated a totally new air box for the top of the furnace.
When they were done, they cleaned up the work area beautifully. They started at 8:00 AM and were gone by Noon.  They did a beautiful job, much better than the original installation. My wife and I are very happy. They money was well spent.

The experience was very good, especially since it was an extremely cold day and they did exactly what we needed done. I would definitely reccomend this company.

Everything went as expected.

During the quoting process two companies actually performed some sizing calculations for the furnace. One was the company with the highest cost and the other was Beam.
Brian Dick of Beam was very helpful and took the time to explain things.
The price from Beam was ~$1000 less than all of the other quotes.  I talked to Brian and expressed my concern about why the price was so low.  He explained that they buy their AC units in bulk and that is why they are able to offer such a competative price.
The installers arrived on time and appeared to be very professional.  We let them in to get started and then I went to work and checked back at noon and was satisfied with the progress they were making.  At that point they had the programable thermostat installed and showed me how it worked.
When they were finished they waited approximately 10 minutes for me to return to review their work, which was much appreciated.
There were two minor issues that we addressed when brought to their attention.  The original quote had included a free cover for the AC.  Because their price was so competative I upgrarde to a variable speed motor.  When they requoted they forgot the AC cover, but did provide it during installation after having this brought to their attention.  The second item was in regards to getting a seperate receipt for the programable thermostat to send in for a rebate from the electric company.  It was not originally listed as a seperate line item, but they were able to redo the reciept so that I could apply for the rebate.
The weather was been neither too hot or too cold, so since they installed it the furnace has only come on briefly and the AC unit has not yet been used.

    In the morning I got a call from a serviceman who said he would call later when he was able to come out.  Just a few hours later, he called to say he was just a couple streets away and was finishing up.  He would be coming to our house soon if that would be convenient.  When he arrived, he seemed to already know what was wrong with the air conditioner.  He took the unit apart enough to remove the worn out part.  After making a few calls because the codes weren't readable due to rust, he went to his truck to get a new part.  He replaced the part and reported that the air was now cold.
  We couldn't have asked for an easier appliance repair and I was happily paying him as my husband arrived home from his partial day at work.  He was hot and happy to see the air fixed.The End.

When the air conditioner was working properly, the technician could not get our very old thermostat to work at all. After repeated attempts, he replaced it with a new and easy to use model, and spent time making sure my elderly father knew how to use it - and did not charge us for the extra time that took.

We are very pleased and happy with them.  We didn't buy our furnace from them, but, we are planning to get a furnace from them in the future.  It includes heating and cooling.  They're knowledgeable and professional, my neighbors use them, for their homes and businesses, too.  I give them high ratings and will continue to use them in the future.
