"Hi [removed member name], Thanks for your feedback. We inspect to national home inspection standards (ASHI) and try to address every issue in the home that is a safety concern, a maintenance issue, something that is defective, or may become defective in the near future. We always make sure our clients concerns are addressed by the end of every inspection. A lot of what we do is explaining what items in a home are concerning and which ones aren't. They aren't always the ones our clients think are an issue. Next time we recommend bringing up any issues you have with the inspection, at the time of the inspection while we're onsite. You can always call our office up anytime after the inspection with any questions as well. We strive to be your inspector for life! Thanks again for your feedback."
"Hi [Member name removed], thanks for your feedback. We are partnered with a national security company for our clients benefit. Through our affiliation with them, we can offer deals on an alarm system that are not available to the general public. We fully disclose this relationship in our inspection agreements. Clients always have the option to opt out as well. Many of our clients have thanked us for helping them save money on an alarm system they were going to buy anyway. Sorry for the unwelcome calls, but thanks again for the feedback."
"(Member name removed), thanks for your response. We received the notice from Angies List late in the day Friday, which is why we didn't get in touch with you until Monday, we apologize for the delay. Also, our Storefront deal is for a typical $400 home inspection. It sounds like the house you are purchasing was much larger or older than our base pricing. It also sounds like you may have added on additional ancillary inspections that you needed (possibly termite, radon, septic, well flow or water testing). These are not included in our Big Deal. We appreciate you for making us aware of the verbiage online though, we may need to reword it so it is very clear and makes sense to all. Thanks again."
"[member name removed], thanks for your feedback. Was there something in particular that we can improve for next time? What was the reason you wouldn't hire us again?"
"We apologize that you've had issues with your home since our inspection. Last week's Hurricane Sandy was an exceptional storm. As much as we'd like to be able to, we cannot predict what kind of damage a storm such as the one we received will do to your home. The chips on the planking of your roof were within acceptable tolerances. It sounds like your roof is still there thankfully. Also, squeaky and out of level floors are not defective, but typically a sign of an older home. None of the observable floor joists below were cracked or broken. We would appreciate if you have any concerns at the time of the inspection, such as squeaky floors, that you ask then, that's what we're there for. The reason people hire us for a home inspection and not contractors is because we are a neutral third party and we don't get paid for what we fix, it would be a conflict of interest. We get paid to inspect and report, whatever the issues may be. Contractors inspect per their own standards and only get paid when they fix something. Please call us if you have any questions. Thanks for your feedback."
