Masonry, Concrete Repair
$2,655
They left a huge gap between the retaining wall and the concrete and wanted to charge an additional 500 to fix what should have been included in the 2655 price. They used my electricity and water and left the front door open and the lights on when they left. Would NEVER hire again.

Randy and Chris Inch did an amazing job on our fireplace. They were quick and professional and they did an amazing job. Do yourself a huge favor and hire them first chance you get. We love the work they did and would recommend them very highly.

Chris Inch and his co-worker, I think his name is Alex did an excellent job in repointing chimney, making masonry repairs on side of my duplex in city that required stucco repairs, caulking, repaired front porch steps. They just went the extra mile - rehung my exterior shutter and found a piece so that it could be rehung. Friendly yet very professional. They know what they are doing. I would not hesitate to hire them again. All A's except one B and that was because I got a quote back in November, and I responded with more questions but then I never heard back. Out of the blue, I get a call in January and they are ready to do my work. Very responsive once on the scene. But again, excellent job. I also think the price was very reasonable.

Absolutely a GREAT experience ! If your like me, your concerned about the contractor that your going to hire. Randy (Father/estimator), Chris (Son/owner) and Cory (coworker) do excellent work. Chris always kept me informed of their schedule and work plans. They answered all my questions and also provided options to complete tasks, that would even make things better, than my original ideas. I would hire Randy, Chris and Cory without any hesitation for any future masonry type of work, or for that matter any type of work they perform. I found them to be honest, caring, ethical, friendly and they do A+ work.

Replaced stone/paver walkway with poured concrete 35' long by 44'' wide. Received quote from Randy Inch, work done by his son. He did a fabulous job, price seemed very reasonable and a lot cheaper from one other quote I received. It looks really nice. He knew what he was talking about.

I had gotten a previous estimate that started out at $3500 and that only covered two sides of the house and no cement work. This person also told me I needed to have 50-60 bricks replaced, plus, they would need to erect scaffolding. When I bulked at the price, he then said he could probably get away with 10 to 20 bricks and reduced the price to $3100. I still was not happy, so he asked me if I was a senior, which I was, and he wanted to know if I had any one in the military. I told him my son was a full-bird colonel so he reduced the price to around $2800 but told me if I signed that day, he would do it for $2500. I ended up signing. This was on a Friday afternoon, but it definitely bothered me very much that I didn't get another estimate, so at 9 o'clock on Monday morning I exercise my right to rescind the sale within three business days. That is when I saw Randy's name and his reviews on Angie's list and decided to call him. He came out two days later and gave me an estimate. I did not mention how much the other company had told me it would cost, but I did tell him that they said I needed bricks replaced and scaffolding. Randy looked over the entire house including the back of the house which the first guy didn't do. He said I had quite a few places with missing mortar on the back and showed me where they were. I then asked him if he would be able to repair the broken cement on the steps. He told he could do that. The front steps were particularly bad. He also said he did not see anywhere where bricks needed to be replaced and no need for scaffolding. The highest spot was about five and half feet off the ground. Imagine my surprise when his quote was $1400 for everything. I could not believe it. After I got that estimate, it rained for two weeks straight. The first day there was no rain, Randy and his helper, James, were on the job. I think they did a tremendous job! The cement repairs look absolutely great and the mortar matches up so well that you can not tell where the repairs are, unless you look very closely. But it doesn't stand out at all. As far Randy's character, I found him to be a deeply religious man, who I don't think would cheat anybody out of a dime. I am so glad that I got another estimate and that I called Randy Inch.

The job was grinding high areas of my garage floor that prevented the garage doors from sealing properly and repairing concrete spalling caused by salt. Randy Inch responded promptly to my request for a quote and completed the work promptly. The job looks good and achieved our objective.

Randy came out for an estimate which I thought was reasonable for the work needed. We scheduled the repair and I am very pleased with the work and professionalism of the crew. They did a great job.

Original fixed price bid was retracted and replaced with a time and materials quote on day one. This was a disappointment, and ended up more costly, however there was no slacking on the job or the professionalism with which it was conducted. The result is better than new. I will be looking them up again in the future.

Took longer than I thought it should for him to return messages but apparently he was very busy. Once work was done he did a good job. The price seemed fair. Chimney made it through winter with only small amounts of flaking which he told me would still happen but chimney MUCH better than prior to work being done.

I spoke to Randy mid March, 2017. About 2 weeks later he came to assess the situation at my property. I got a call from him with the issue and the price to repair the problem with my chimney. I called a couple days later and requested an appointment for the service and spoke to Randy. He advised i will get a call back the next day for an appointment. It has been over a month and yet to have a date schedule.

I was quoted a price for 3 days work for 2 men. Once they started, it was discovered that one side of the chimney was not as damaged as originally thought. The work took only 1 day plus about 1 hour the next day to apply the waterproofing. I was still charged the entire quoted price...$1, 183.00. I will not recommend this company due to this. I feel I was overcharged for the work that was done.
Response from Inch by Inch Masonry

"The customer is a very kind woman. We worked quickly and efficiently on the first day tearing down the chimney so we could complete the project in two days. A portion of the work wasn't needed and a deduction on the bill was given. She received a 10% discount on top of the deduction. The end result was a job well done faster than anticipated and the 10% discount with an additional discount on the entire job. We are disappointed this did not satisfy the customer."

The overall experience was excellent. High quality work and excellent people to work with. Very pleased with everything that was done and the compliments from neighbors have not stopped. They even took the time to address minor issues and repairs that neighbors asked them to look at while they were there.
