MEADVILLE HOUSING CORP

We have been living here for 36 years and they have been very helpful. They maintain their buildings. When we were younger and not able to pay our rent as easily as we would've liked they were very patient and helpful with us. I think in general that they care about their people. They have rules about the yards and stuff, but they're not unreasonable and the place looks good. There's over 200 units here and it's very nice. They care about their property and their tenants. They're also very reasonable and if you need them they're right there. You don't have to wait. They're a corporation and it's privately owned by three large companies, the college, the hospital, and someone else. They have an agreement among the three of them not to sell any of the individual houses or anything. Sometimes if you rent and someones niece or nephew is homeless they're going to kick you out and put the kid in or sell the house out from under you and then you're out in the street, but this is a certainty that they're not selling.
