+ -1 moreAfter Matt visited my property twice, He was almost impossible to get a estimate out of, he wanted to base everything on "Time and Materials" which I was not happy with, I could not believe he could not give me an estimate. Finally after many emails, I explained I could not afford his prices and that I would have to find other solutions, I confirmed this with an email. Fast forward 3 weeks. After returning from a trip, I discovered all of the edging had been started, leaving heaps dirt thought the yard and mulch beds, No note, no invoice, nothing... Fast Forward another 3 weeks, Matt shows up in my driveway demanding payment, explaining he really thought he would get my job... The quality was so bad, I would not have paid for it anyway, there was no way I could justify paying for services I had refused.
Description of Work: I had Matt out to give me an estimate for some light landscape, edging, cleanup, etc. I received a couple Bids from various contractors, his was the most expensive by about 15%.

Description of Work: I needed my driveway and my sister's driveway cleared of snow asap; it had accumulated over several days in that snowy January week. Matt came within a day of my phone call and cleared both of them of all snow. He and his helper did a superb job and I will definitely hire him again and will consider him for grass mowing and other landscape work.

+ -1 moreExtremely overpriced, to the point of questioning the accuracy of the labor hours billed. Inexperienced, young workers. Utter lack of concern in responding to calls requesting a conversation about work and billing. Call not returned for days, more than a week, if at all.

Description of Work: Fischer Services came and did some much needed trimming at my house- cutting back shrubs and hedges that had been overgrown for more than 5 years. They were responsive to my calls; gave a fair, not the cheapest, but reasonable estimate for the work; showed up on time and even had me check their progress from time-to-time to see if I was happy with what they were doing. In all, they trimmed two front hedges and holly bushes, and two hemlocks in the back that were almost to my rooftop!
