Lang's Lawn Care Fertilizing & Seal Coating

It went very well. I called Lang's Seal coating on Friday, 10/3 and received a return call from Jeff Lang that same day. He came out on Monday, 10/6 and gave a free estimate plus a lawn evaluation. He said our drive has too many cracks for repair but he could use the sealant on it. I discussed it with my husband that evening and called Jeff to say we would use his service. On Thursday, 10/9 Jeff telephoned to say we were on his list, weather permitting. He called again on Friday, 10/10 to confirm an appointment for Saturday morning. Since my husband had to have time to first remove some blocks lining one side of the drive, Jeff was accommodating and pushed the appointment to around noon. The two man crew arrived promptly and set to work. They were very careful not to make a mess or get sealant on the surrounding areas. When finished, they put yellow caution tape across the bottom and left the statement in the mailbox.

Excellent from the "word go." Mr. Lang responded to my call the same day, gave me a price over the phone, told me when they would arrive (a few days... gladly, much earlier than I thought) ... did the job, and left the bill at our house. We didn't even have to be there when they did the work. All he asked is that we mail a check. This was as close to doing business on a handshake as it gets! The bill was the exact amount as the estimate. I wish all transactions could be done like this ... but, unfortunately, this is not a perfect world. But this experience has taught me that THERE ARE some cases that reach the highest level of honesty and trust.

My experience with them was great overall because the guy came out first and looked over the lawn and gave me a professional rundown on my situation. The price was reasonable, and the service was great.

Had a good experience from the moment I contacted Jeff Lang with his quick return call to the scheduling of the work. Not only was the work done very professionally and on time, but Jeff personally repaired several cracks in the driveway with a cold patch at no extra cost.

No surprises or disappointments w/ this company. I plan to use their lawn service, as well.

Gary from Lang's came to give us an initial assessment and tell us what he could do to bring our lawn back. Once he gave us his price, we immediately started on the treatments to repair the lawn. We saw an improvement right away. There were 4 or 5 applications about 3 months apart, with the option to continue into the next year. We can't thank Gary enough for bringing our lawn back to life. It looks better then it ever did!

It went well. One possibility for improvement is that at the end of my driveway where driveway meets the sidewalk there was a slight ridge of black sealant left where the driveway meets the sidewalk. It is only noticeable if you were looking for it (which I was), but it could have been avoided so that is why I graded job "good" and not "excellent". To be clear, I would probably use Lang again for this work. Everything else about the experience was "excellent". Jeff Lang set up the appointment promptly & allowed me to redeem an Angie's List coupon for $10 off the job. The two young men who did the job were prompt, polite, responsive, professional and efficient. Importantly, when I asked them to be especially careful to keep black sealant off of the Belgian blocks around my driveway, they were very careful and completely successful in keeping sealant off the Belgian blocks. I also observed their work as they did the job, and they did not give me any "attitude" about me watching them. This is the second time I have used Lang Sealcoating and I will probably use them again.

Very reasonable price and I am using them right now. They do work for me right. They are very flexible with working for us to help us decided on a treatment plan for our lawn. They come out to treat our lawn because we live in a very wooded area. They come out and spray all the time to come and help with our lawn. It is very easy for people to come out and say we need everything which is what happened before. They are very good at looking at what we really needed. Very fair. Even talked to us about immediate care. They got back to me promptly when I was looking for someone in a busy time for them. They just sort of come out when I need help. They are very professional in person and on the phone.

Very well. Jeff called a few days before he planned to come. It was notification of his visit and to be sure that nothing (car\mulch) would be left on the driveway. We were not at home at the time of the service, but it was evident that the driveway way edged and blown clean before the sealer was applied. It was a very neat job. No sealer got on the adjacent sidewalks, garage doors, etc. Sealer was applied evenly with no streaks or brush marks. Overall, an excellent job. He left the bill in the mailbox for the amount quoted. We were happy to pay for this quality service.

After one season with Lang's I will definitely use them again. The two previous summers my lawn was full of crabgrass with my previous lawn care company. I did have a small amount this summer, but Lang's came right out and sprayed it and took care of the problem. The owners are extremely responsive to questions or concerns by email or phone. My lawn is much better with Lang's this first year and I'm counting on it being even better next year since it's ending up this fall in such good shape.

After seeing his business highly rated on Angie's List, I sent an email to Mr. Lang requesting an estimate for the work. He personally called the next day and came out to the see the driveway that week. The drive had not been coated in about 3 years and was showing much wear on the edges. His estimate was about what I had paid for a sloppy job 3 years ago. Mr. Lang was patient answering my questions regarding certain cracks and areas. He also was glad to schedule the work to be done when I could be away (with dogs and kids) for a few days. When were returned from our trip, the drive was neatly edged and coated with a very smooth, even finish. I am very pleased.

I have been very satisfied with the way in which my lawn has looked since hiring on this contractor. They are always prompt and they always clean up well after they are done.

I had used them as lawn maintenance men in the past, but found out that they split their company into two different businesses using the same address. They are just as good sealing driveways as they are with lawn care. I am very happy with their professionalism and the way in which they pay attention to keeping everything clean when they work.

The spring ice storms prevented the first application but the company was out at the first opportunity. I had occasion to speak with one of the owners on the phone about my lawns, and he was very knowledgeable about my lawn care and spoke with me honestly and respectfully. I am very pleased with the way my lawns look, even the side yard, which looked pretty hopeless before they got started about 6 weeks ago.

He returned my call promptly with an estimation withing 48 hours. My driveway was then being put on his 2 week to-do list, and the work was done professionally. By the way, another company quoted the same job for over $100 more.

Called for an estimate and Jeff responded promptly stopping by a few days later. His estimate was ultimately less than any other we received. Since I was home, I was able to talk with him and ask questions. He seemed very knowledgeable and easy to talk to. He later provided a couple references in the neighborhood so we could view his work. His crew sealed our driveway a couple weeks later. They did a great job keeping the sealer off the Belgium blocks lining our driveway which was a big concern for us. Recently recommended him to a neighbor. We used the $10.00 Angie's List coupon.

Jeff has always done an excellent job for us whether he is taking care of our lawn or sealcoating our driveway. He is accessible, returns phone calls and takes the time to listen to your thoughts.

I have not used Lang's Sealcoating yet, but I appreciated Mr Lang's honesty in telling me what I needed. He was honest enough to tell me he could make the driveway look nicer, but I really needed to replace the driveway.

As is crucial for all contractors, Jeff Lang stayed in touch with me during the weeks that we were waiting for the heat to rise and the rain to stop, so the driveway would be dry enough to seal. He is polite, articulate, can explain what he does and why it needs to be done that way for best results. His workers came early, were polite, and quiet, and competent. They really did an excellent job. Everything was cleaned up before they left. He left the bill in the mailbox. I would recommend him highly.

THE REPRESENTATIVE WAS VERY THOROUGH HE EVALUATED THE DRIVEWAY AND PERFORMED ALL THE NECESSARY MAINTENANCE PRIOR TO SEALING THE DRIVEWAY. HE WAS ON TIME AND VERY PROFESSIONAL.

ANGIE'S LIST PROVIDED THE NAMES OF 6-8 COMPANIES. I TELEPHONED ALMOST ALL OF THEM, BUT ONLY 2 RESPONDED. LANG'S BID WAS $419, THE OTHER WAS $695. LANGE CAME OUT, PRICED THE JOB AND SUBMITTED HIS BID. COURTEOUS, EFFICIENT AND VERY PROFESSIONAL.
