Description of Work: We hired Certitude to replace the siding on the back of our house due to hail damage. When we hired them we told them that we wanted to have our hot tub removed and they said oh we can take care of that for you and even put it in the contract even tho they did not charge us for it. Long story short they did not remove the hot tub. We indicated that if they reduced the cost of our contract by $500 we would get rid of it. At first after going back and forth they offered $250, which we ended up agreeing to only because we had serious medical issues going on in our family. We did not feel that they honored their contract, BUT in the end they finally agreed to give us $500 so we could pay to have the hot tub removed. In addition to all of this they cut part of the railing on our deck to put the siding up, which did not need to be cut because the contractor who installed the siding that they were replacing was able to put the siding up without cutting the railing. They did not fix that. The siding work they did appears to be fine and I have no complaints about that other then they left a lot of nails laying on the ground that I think they should have cleaned up. It was a very unpleasant experience.

Description of Work: Certitude Home Improvements performed a $200 roof inspection and minor repair package special. On the good side, the staff was friendly and very punctual and seemed knowledgeable. Very responsive to both phone and e-mail. They were always prompt and arrived on time. But, inspection seemed a little perfunctory with little/no time actually spent on the roof. They did spot and repair a significant problem: weathered and leaking seals around vent pipes. However, they only did two out of four on the first visit and had to come back to finish after I noticed the un-repaired caps. They also diagnosed but could not repair the source of my gutter end-cap leaks (stucco installation problem?). So, repair of the vent pipes was definitely worth the money charged, but I worry that there may be other un-spotted problems.

Description of Work: We used Certitude for a new roof right before the end of 2014. The salesman was extremely pushy and got my wife to sign a contract while I was at work. I agreed over the phone as we were being heavily pushed to sign that night. We needed to follow up several times to get any information that the work was being scheduled. The contract we signed and the one I was sent at work were different. I had been sent a contract that included skylights under the price which is one of the reasons I agreed. I was later told that was a mistake and the price would be much higher with skylights. When they arrived I had been penciled in for skylights at the higher price. They corrected and I paid the 14k without skylights. The work was ok. I had a mess in my yard and driveway once they were complete with trash and debris. Flood lights they had broken on the side of my house were broken and never replaced. I was told they were going to put the satellite dish back into the same location and I would need to call direct TV to adjust the dish. Once onsite I was told they would not put back onto the roof incase it was put back in the wrong spot. When they left they had in fact put it back and in the wrong location. Direct TV needed to need to put in a new base and leave the old one in the wrong location as they were afraid they were going to damage the new roof and did not want to be liable. The whole situation was very messy. Now that it's complete I still don't think I have received an invoice or anything receipt and no documentation about my 50 year warrantee. I still need to follow up on that. The end of the job was very wham bam we're out of here. My overall experience was average at best as I believe the actual roof work they did looked pretty good. Very sloppy in all other areas. I would not recommend. If you do use read the contract very carefully.
