D.P. Marlatt Company are stellar! I got 3 different quotes from reputable AC/Heater companies in the area and the results were: Vendor 1: lowball price for really low performance equipment (no better efficiency nor capability than my existing, so why change) Vendor 2: lowball price for really low performance (see above) and really highball price for medium tiered equipment (meaning better than the 20 year old equipment but no where near where I wanted to be efficiency and performance-wise) D.P. Marlatt: Excellent price (36% less than vendor 2's high priced/medium grade) with really great performing system. We went from a 13 Seer to 16 Seer (~97% efficient), 75k btu to 100k btu, 3 ton to 4 ton, ~850cfm to 1400cfm variable 2 stage fan, with whole house humidifier and Wifi thermostat (a serious upgrade from our 20 year old system). Dennis also provided the Consumer Reports that showed the equipment we were buying IS rated #1 (not just sales propoganda I got from the other 2 vendors). And when I say they replaced everything, I mean everything. Only thing left original is a small section of the PVC intake/exhaust pipes at the wall (even replaced the outside pad for the condenser). Workmanship? These guys showed up early, worked straight through completion and my basement was cleaner when they left than when they got here. Everything about this job simply screams quality workmanship done with pride and Dennis backs his work with a full 2 year warranty (and I'm talking about the manufacturers warranty, he guaranties their work himself!!!) Not much else to say, I've already personally recommended D.P. Marlatt to friends and neighbors with out any reservation.

Dennis came out & looked at my A/C and realized it wasn't fixable. He shopped around and was able to find a modern, energy efficient & affordable one to replace the old one. He called me and explained everything and took time to answer my questions. I was concerned about the price but after doing some of my own research, I realized Dennis was giving me a good deal. I got put on their schedule and a week later Adam & Jim came out & replaced it. Adam & Jim were very friendly, explained everything and very professional. I feel that DP Marlatt and Son did a great job at an affordable price. I will definitely use them in the future.

I thought I was going to have to replace the unit, but instead they were able to service it to get it running efficiently.

They were punctual, professional and respectful.

Professional, knowledgeable and willing to explain what was needed, why and things to watch as the unit continues to age. Check the coolant levels and determined that both units needed charges. Explained the difference in coolants from the now phased out Freon to the replacement, environmental friendly, Puron.

They did a great job very professional ,did the job in a timely matter an they were very neat. Explained how to use the new unit. If I have any questions or problem I can call them an they will get right back to me.

The crew was on time & protective of the property (inside & out), making sure we were kept informed & updated as to what was being done & why. Everything was put back to where it was found, and all replaced material(s) were removed. Dennis, Adam and Jim were all very professional from the initial walk through until the end of the project. Dennis came to the house to do the walk through and to give us a quote on the work. He was on time and answered every question that I had. He also responded to all of my emails in a very timely manner. He gave us the best quote out of the 3 companies that I had come in to quote us on the project. Adam and Jim came to do the installation of the system and were on time every day. They explained every aspect of what they were going to work on that day and answered all questions that we had. They got right to work and cleaned up everything each day before they left. All in all it was a great experience and we highly recommend D P Marlatt and Son to anyone looking to get central ac installed in their home. My husband and I are very pleased with the new ac in our home and we are glad that we had Dennis, Adam and Jim do the work.

Both service and professional expertise demonstrated by Dennis were OUTSTANDING. I would not hesitate in recommending this company to anyone. After this review is added, This company will have had no B, D or F ratings, and only 1 C rating out of 54 total ratings. The C rating was provided by a grumpy non-customer on a Sunday who refused to provide the answering service with any information, the service technician was unable to return the call. This one grump cost the best-rated (I believe) Heating and AC company a perfect 100% A rating among companies that have more than a small number of reviews.

Install crew arrived on time and worked quickly. ALL work was done to the High Standards I've come to expect from D.P. Marlatt and Son. This is Good Old Fashioned service that is lacking in this days world, Pride in Craftsmanship. I would recommend D.P. Marlatt and Son to anyone looking for excellent work!!

They were punctual, knowledgeable and professional. They were incredibly clean when they worked and helped me out with some associated work that I had to perform in order for them to do their job. They were receptive to my input and steered me in the right direction on things I didn't know about. It is a great family run company.

Great service through the whole process from the estimate through completion of the job. We are relocating from Pittsburgh to Royersford and decided to replace the HVAC system. We were looking for a family run business and found one. Reasonable price for out East. Punctual installation; no delay. Worked long days in the cold. Polite and very responsive. I attempted to reach DP Marlatt & Son today regarding a hot water radiator repair....Unfortunately I couldnt get past the woman that identified herself as the answering service. I dont enjoy people talking over me and interrupting what Im trying to convey. Being a managing member of a property management company, anything I relate is concise and I need specific services for specific properties. I dislike leaving any messages for any answering services because they often get details wrong and I never hear back from the provider. If a customer asks for a direct contact number, you should probably divulge one if you expect to receive there business. I cant comment directly on the HVAC service, but if someone from DP Marlatt reads this you should consider changing your answering service provider.

Call for estimated because my heater was old and needed to upgrade. Dennis came out to check out my system. While all other tried to sale me more expensive heaters. Dennis was great and suggestion the heater I have now is a good brand. and all I needed is to upgrade to a new system that was more efficient. Then Adam and James came to do the installing of the new heater and add 3 zone heating system. I really respect these two guys they were very professional and It was a joy having them at my house they made me laugh and answered all of my questions. The heater works great and my house is the warmest ever. I highly recommend this company. They have a customer for life.

I called yesterday when I realized we had a problem. I did have to leave a message but was able to get in touch first thing this morning. After a brief discussion it was all too clear what was needed and I was promised someone would be out as close to 1-1:30 as possible, which they were. The workmen were very, very nice. Both had bootees on their shoes. Mr Marlett had said they would have to get it going but then schedule another time to come back for a tune up and proper cleaning. He said it would be a lot of money, which I understood but was concerned about as we live on a fixed income and my husband is disabled. But, at the end of the day, when the work was all done they managed to do it all, without having to come back, and get my heat back on and very kindly knocked back the cost to what I felt was very reasonable. Both workmen were friendly and seemed knowledgeable. I had visions of spending a cold weekend worrying about how much it was going to cost and imagining all kinds of scenarios. I would definitely called them again for any furnace service. Reliable, professional and friendly.

Everything went very well and according to plan. Two guys (one was Adam the son) and two trucks were at my mother-in-law's house for the better part of the day. Those guys explained things that were occurring throughout the installation. Furniture and rugs were moved out of the way and back into place by the DP Marlatt guys. They wore those booties over their shoes each time they entered the house. Once the new system was installed they tested out both the heater and air conditioner (it was unseasonably warm on that day which permitted AC testing). My mother-in-law was very impressed with her entire experience beginning with Dennis Marlatt's visit to spec out and explain the job and the actual installation operation. We would recommend DP Marlatt to anyone looking for heater/AC maintenance or heater/AC new installations.

Dennis actually came out to the house to give me an estimate while others would talk to me via phone. Adam and James arrived on time. They wore booties to protect my wood floors. They both were very professional and approachable when asked questions during the installation. This installation was in the basement, but they cleaned up the work area as if it was part of the main living area. The cost was exactly as stated in the estimate. Thank you Dennis, Adam and James.

Couldn't have gone better. I did a lot of research before hiring DP Marlatt. They were very knowledgeable, courteous and professional and completed all work as scheduled. The work was excellent and Dennis was very helpful in helping me choose the right central AC replacement. The cost was reasonable and fair. If you have to make a big purchase, it's comforting to know your money was spent wisely

Marlatt & Son did an outstanding job installing a new boiler in our 90 year old house. They were highly professional and experts in this type of job. They were on time, did great work, and were very competitive on cost. The thing that impressed us the most was how responsive they were in returning phone calls immediately and answering every question when estimating and performing the job. I'd highly recommend them to anyone.

We initially called D P Marlatt for a quote because of their excellent rating on Angie's list. It is extremely rare to not have a customer unhappy with something at some point in time so having all A's was quite impressive. Dennis was early for the appointment to look at our old system and give us a quote on the new one. I let him know what we wanted (something equivalent to the old system). He explained their direct relationship with American Standard and how that enabled him to sell/install systems for thousands less than other companies. He didn't try to upsell us but did provide pricing on a basic/similar system and a higher end one to choose from. As promised the pricing for the two systems he quoted was significantly lower than the other quotes I had received. He was actually 50% less than one other contractor. The pricing was so good that we choose the higher end furnace & AC which had a better PECO rebate and is much more efficient than our old system. The installers were early the day of installation and finished up before 5PM. They were very friendly and professional. They did a great job overall and lived up the their A rating. I will definitely recommend this company to my neighbors...many of whom will be in need of a new system soon (all the houses here are ~ 16 years old).

The guys from DP Marlatt did and an excellent job replacing my old HVAC unit. They were on time and finished the job in 1 day when I was expecting it to take 2 days. They didn't mind me watching over their shoulder and even explain what and why they were doing things. It was a great experience and DP Marlatt is now my go-to HVAC company.

Great!! This was a great experience!! We had them install the Boiler in Oct. 2014 and when our air went we didn't hesitate to call them back!! They have all our work now and I have also given them my fathers house too!!

You just can't go wrong when you choose DP Marlatt. They have been servicing our AC and heating systems for the past 3 years. From regular tune ups to major repairs. They recently installed a brand new AC system. They are extremely responsible and friendly. Always on time and very quick to respond, especially with emergency calls. They are also very neat and clean up after their services. I would highly recommend this company!!!!

Everything went well from day one. Dennis was prompt for the estimate appointment and upon approval of the estimate, the job was underway within a week. I had obtained a few estimates for the job and the pricing was very fair. I intentionally sought out a smaller local company for the job, after consulting with a larger provider who has to fund their advertising and their 120 trucks on the road. The installation crew was prompt, friendly and did a fine job. After the installation, there was a small issue with a switch in the attic, which shut down the system. Call made in the evening, and Dennis was there the following morning. It ended up just being a shut off that wasn't properly seated. I would strongly recommend them.
