+ -1 moreGreat! I had this work performed in March 2018. Summer 2018 has seen constant rain and flash flooding. Previously I would have had several feet of water in my basement from the saturating rain and storms that came through together (5+inches in 6 hours with 12 inches in 48hrs in already wet ground). Basement has been completely dry. I thought work would be more noticeable. The concrete over the drain is nicely done. No complaints about the work, better results than I expected (I expected it to be more noticeable).

+ 1 moreThe Basement Expert did and excellent job on this large , multi-phased project. I was very satisfied with the work performed and the value received. The three other companies included in my proposal process were either limited in solutions they offered or significantly more expensive in order to provide the same work . Phil and his team were also very sensitive to the emotional impact on the family of the items required to be removed due to the mold issue and were very professional and empathetic during this very stressful portion of the work . I would certainly hire the Basement Expert in any future similar projects .
Description of Work: There was water intrusion in the basement of my mother's home which is over 100 years old every time it rained . The extent of the work on the outside included tearing out the sidewalk in the entire back of the house (approximately 30 feet ) prepping the foundation with screening and appropriate mortar /cement , replacing four other sidewalk sections and fixing the cement walls supporting one of the bulk head doors . The internal work included digging up a trench around the furnace and installing a drain and sump pump , adding 6 supports to the foundation of the house in the rear , parging the rear basement walls and certain sections of the other basement walls and installing a vapor barrier and a large dehumidifier. The basement expert also did mold removal and spraying , which was effective and independently verified by a third party air quality and mold remediation firm. This was a big project and The Basement Expert and is owner ,Phil , was very easy to deal with, hands on and very clear and transparent as to the work required,the pros and cons of alternative approaches and the timing of various phases of the project .

We’ve had several hard downpours the past few weeks since they did their work and haven’t gotten a single drop of water! Best price I found and great work. Can’t beat it thank you!
