We are a local fence company that has been in business since 2002 We offer all types of fencing, including PVC/vinyl, aluminum, wood, chainlink, post & rail, specializing in vinyl and aluminum We have approximately 10 employees and we do not subcontract We have state licences in both Pa and NJ (Pa #010221 NJ #13VH05202300) We are a member of the Better Business Bureau and the American Fence Association (AFA). The company has earned the Blue Ribbon status with the AFA Gary is a certified fence professional (CFP)as designated by the AFA and Marta is the treasurer for the Keystone chapter of the AFA. We had a unique situation where our neighbor's driveway had been extended onto our property and needed to be removed. At the same time, we wanted to install some type of boundary fence on that side of our property due to our neighbor planting bushes on our property despite having survey markers clearly showing the boundary and requesting her not to do so. We spoke with multiple fence installers and StraightForward Fence was the only company who could complete the entire scope of work. We wanted the job to be done as quickly as possible to prevent further destruction of our property.
The associates of StraightForward Fence were wonderful to work with. They were professional during all interactions even with our crazy situation. They took care of all of my concerns regarding the project and went above and beyond to help us through the permitting process and installation.
During installation, our neighbor parked her car to interfere with the project and StraightForward Fence Co owner, Gary, spoke with her throughout the day, providing documentation on the work permitted and ensured that by the end of the day everything was completed as needed.
We love our new fence, and truly appreciate not only the fence installation work, but also the customer service that was provided throughout the project and the delicate handling of our unique situation.

"We apologize we are just now seeing this review. Our notifications from Angie's List have not been working and with the switch from their old business center to a new one, we did not receive several reviews. We always call first to discuss the estimate, then mail it only if requested (as we do 60-80 estimates per week, and not all customers are interested after receiving a verbal estimate. Also after speaking, some people make changes or narrow down from multiple options to one or two) Our records show we left several voicemails in an attempt to give you your estimate. We originally came out to your property on 5/12/16 - then left a voicemail on 5/18. When we received no response, we tried again on 5/24. We then received a call from the customer on 6/13 looking for her numbers, and again left her a voicemail on 6/14"
"This was a situation where it would be nice to be able to grade a customer. Unfortunately from the start it was not a great experience on our end. When we arrived to do the estimate, the homeowner made us feel like we were bothering him. When we asked where he would like the fence to go, he hesitated to show us, did not want to answer any of our questions about what they were looking for so we could give him a precise estimate. The same thing happened when we arrived to sign the contract. Was asked several questions regarding the installation - which way you want a gate to swing, how far off the ground do you want the fence, does it need to be poolcode, etc. These questions are designed to make sure the customer is happy when we are finished. Every question we asked was met with reluctance to answer. We still continued to try to work with them. The last step of the contract is we receive a deposit. The fence they were ordering has to be made, and once it is made we would be stuck with the product if they changed their mind, this is why we require a deposit. The wife asked us to hold the deposit until the work was complete which defeats the purpose of a deposit. We said we could not do that, so she said she would not give us a deposit. At this point we cannot do the work for them so we left. The owner did not storm out he simply left. We cannot leave a signed contract with them that states a deposit was received (it is pre-typed). This would obligate us to do work that we are not going to do as we cancelled the contract."
"We have taken care of this situation by replacing (3) 4x4 posts at no charge to the customer. This was done as a courtesy since wood unlike our other materials does not have a warranty - it is a natural product. We did go out to see the issue and found 3 posts that were beginning to warp, since the install was recent we agreed to replace them, unfortunately she called in the winter so we had to wait until better weather. It was a cosmetic issue not urgent, so it took us a little while to get to it."
