D LIBERATI CONCRETE

Job was done very well. Dino did a great job. I did not even realize I needed the additional step but now that it is complete what a difference! Dino cleaned the whole area after the work was complete. I did not have to do one thing except be grateful that I now have a tripping hazard

I placed a call to D Liberati Concrete to get an estimate on replacing some concrete steps that were deteriorating and unsafe. Liberati came out to look at the steps and I had an estimate within a few days. After signing and returning the estimate, the staff was very responsive and helpful with additional questions I had regarding the stair railing and the work start date. They were reluctant to provide a start date. They explained that the weather played a big factor and that the work should be completed in 4-6 weeks. After 6 weeks had passed without hearing from D. Liberati, I called again and talked to the staff, who told me that they would get to it in about two weeks. Once again, two weeks had passed and I had not heard anything, I attempted several phone calls, which were not returned and an email on 7/6 that was also never returned. I was finally able to speak with Lisa in the office on July 12th. Again, she said they would get to it within two weeks. Finally, in late September, after still not a word on when they will start the work, I sent an email cancelling the work. I found it completely unprofessional for D Liberati to act in this manner. I understand that a large portion of D Liberati's work comes from real estate transactions, which usually have a strict timeframe for completion. This work was not real estate related work, so perhaps he put us off for that reason. For whatever the reason they feel it unnecessary to complete the work, instead of stringing me along for over four months, it would have been much more appreciated if they would have been more realistic with a time frame for completion up front or just indicated that they were not interested in the work.

Our house is at the end of the row and the township sent a notice in January that we and our neighbor were responsible for repairing the concrete. It was difficult getting in touch with and negotiating with the neighbor and Mr. Liberati's staff helped facilitate that. We were getting separate estimates but wanted to hire the same contractor. Mr. Liberati impressed us with his experience and professionalism, so we and the neighbor both agreed to hire him. The work couldn't start until the spring and there were some communication issues along the way regarding when and how the work would be done. They did a high quality job and took care of all the cleanup. They set up barriers so no one could walk over or drive over the fresh concrete for the appropriate amount of time.

I had to replace two large concrete blocks leading from the street onto the driveway. I also had to replace the curbing. Dino Liberati told me when he would be over for the estimate, he showed up on time. I received a copy of his estimate in the mail, I signed it and sent it back. About four days later, two workers showed up and began breaking the concrete. Cement truck came the same day, job done!

I left a voice mail and sent a fax describing the work needed. They called back about a week later to discuss, quote, and schedule the job. This company is used extensively in this area and is known for it's quality work. I watched the workers do the job and they didn't mind my being there. They gave great attention to detail, especially around the drain pipe. I am extremely satisfied with the speed of scheduling and quality of the work. I believe the price was fair to good. As a comparison, I paid $1800 for 9 blocks in 2003, but the blocks were smaller than 4' x 4' and there was no curb replacement involved.
