MGT Service Heating & Air

After only 8 years, our "top of the line" Trane AC stopped working. I called the usual services companies, including one I have a maintenance contract with, and they quoted us a price to replace the AC and heater (heater is original to house- about 20 years old). I was not satisfied with these so I went to Angie's List to seek another estimate. I am so glad that I went looking further and found MGT Service. First, Gretchen is extremely understanding and professional. She and her husband, Tim own/run this business and it is clear that quality, responsive customer service is their goal. She offered to have her husband come to the house, free of charge to evaluate the situation. He came on time, and evaluated that the coils on the Trane system were rusted. We opted to replace both system since his price was so superior to our other estimates. As planned, Tim returned with the new units. The finished product works great! We have a NEST internet based programmable thermostat so we can see exactly how this is working - it is working very efficiently and the house is more comfortable than it has been in a long time. His advice on what type of unit to purchase seems to be excellent. Tim's work is beautiful, nice, clean and he even taped up the gaps in the ductwork. We are very pleased with his service. When completed, they sent us the documentation and provided the information we needed to apply for the PECO rebate. I anticipate we will be able to obtain an IRS rebate as well. I am so glad I found this service. I have used many other bigger named ones in the past but they can't compare to the level of professionalism and detailed customer service that MGT Service provides. They also provide plumbing services- nice to know!

I found someone right here in Quakertown that will be coming Friday November 1st. I have a cracked Heat Exchanger and they are replacing it. Thankfully it is under warranty. I am paying for the labor only. I will let you all know the name of the company and how good of a job they did.

Tim came to my house and assesed the situaiton (My wahsing machine was draining into an open pipe on the floor of my basement which caused grey water to pool around the interior foundation wall), determining a parts list needed to do the job, he then took me shopping and we got all that was needed including copper pipe, pvc pipe and a greywater pump to move the water from my washing machine up and out through the sewer pipe. We came back to the house and did the necessary demo, he did all the copper and PVC joints, allowing me to assist and ask questions, it was a great learning experience and he was an awesome teacher. He also gave me tips on how to move the electric to to the new location of the washing machine and offered to come back and help me with that project if needed. He and his wife Gretchen were very friendly and responsive.

I was totally pleased with all aspects of the service. Called their office, and was scheduled a visit the next day. Tim arrived promptly and gave me a fair cost estimate to replace my heater humidifier and inspect and service the heater for winter. Agreed to have the work done and was called back that afternoon to schedule a day. Tim came back on the appointed day and time and got right to work. Took a little over 2 hours. Everything checked out and was very happy with the work. I'll definitely us MGT for any of my HVAC needs.

Cannot say enough good things about MGT Services. Got there on time, helped me with an unrelated project and then gave me straight forward answers to issues we may have down the road with the furnace. No pressure just good honest suggestions and very reasonable quotes for other AC/Heating and plumbing jobs. They will be in my house again.

Tim came out today and did a very thorough job tuning up our furnace. Since it is 24 years old, he also explained some of the problems with it. He also pointed out that they never put in returns in our 2nd floor. He explained everything to us very thoroughly the problems our furnace was having. He also gave us an estimate on what it would cost for us to replace our heater and A/C unit. It is 22 years old. He went over the difference in the different efficiencies of the various systems. I was impressed with his professionalism and his ability to breakdown the different systems.

They do not service oil furnances but They will call me back and recommend some one. Your big deal agent has also emailed me a list of names. You might want to try and get a Big Deal on oil furnances

MGT Service was fine. It went very good.

Received an email coupon special to clean the furnace/burner clean and tuneup for $49. The technician came at the specified time. However, the only service the techician performed was to vaccuum the furnace. He did not lubricate all moving parts, or change standard disposable filter as indicated on the list of services to be provided. I am new to Angies list and decided to give it a try instead of my regular service provider. I guess you get what you pay for. I now have to call the regular service provider to redo the job professionally.

Tim is a phenomenal professional. He did high-quality work for a fair price and was more than willing to answer questions along the way. The estimate and final cost aligned perfectly and the work was done on time. Will recommend MGT to anyone I know who has HVAC needs in the future.

The work was very good. The unit works very well and cools the house very cold. The owner came out to complete the install himself. There was not much time between the estimate before they could complete the installation. They were able to quickly get the unit installed. The price seemed to be reasonable as well.

The service turned out great and it turned out super. They made the appointment. They sent the technician out and took care of the problem. Everything was all wrapped up in an hour or two hours. I was really satisfied. I paid extra for the materials. They checked the whole system out and diagnosed what the problem was. They provided a fair service, offered reasonable price and were cordial. They were not trying to sell me things that I didn't need. They were really good. The quality was top-notch.

We used them through a big deal on Angie's List. Everything went well. The guy was very helpful, very professional and very personable. We were very pleased with their service. They did a great job.

First, I have to tell you that this company- owned by Tim and his wonderful wife Gretchen, are about Customer Care and real honest service! Where do you get that anymore?! The customer service, with the return calls and follow up is fantastic! Gretchen makes it a point to offer the customer service that you want and deserve and asks all the right questions for you and them. That's great! Tim came right on time to service the AC Unit. First, he checked out the plumbing issue and gave honest feedback and he even messed with the stubborn sink. It was greatly appreciated since we have really tried everything up to that point and it was comforting to know that our efforts didn't go unnoticed or "appreciated" for the efforts. It's going to be a larger effort to fix it, and we appreciated the information. Tim was great with the evaluation of the AC Unit as well. It was quick, but very thorough and so was the explanation of the report. The price was great for the service and I would recommend the dynamic duo for any service! You will know as soon as you call to check them out. They stand out above the rest, that's for sure~

The company was very quick to reply and the humidifier was installed within the week. I was pleased with the service and they saved me a few hundred dollars compared to the company I've used in the past. I would use MGT Services again.

Easy scheduling. Owner came as promised. Very polite and respectfull of our home. Did a thorough HVAC inspectation and a great cleaning of our system. Installed an outside frost free faucet. All work was excellent. He knows what he is doing. I have and older HVAC system which probably needs replacing in the near future. He gave me an estimate for replacement which was good, but I did not commit for a replacement at this time. Would recommend and will use again. I

We used MGT for a A/C maintenance a few weeks ago based on Angie's List recommendations and were very satisfied. However, this review is for the sump pump installation. Our sump pump died after the last big rain, leaving 1-2" of water in our basement. I called MGT first, but called a few other providers in the meantime to see if we could get emergency service. Although no one was able to come out that night, MGT was the only company to be able to come out at 7 am the next morning. Tim showed up exactly when he said he would, and make quick work of installing the sump pump. He is friendly and courteous and very pleasant to deal with. The service charge was $30, which was reasonable, especially when compared to Landes and Donnelly. The total cost of $455.00 was also reasonable compared to some other prices I'd been quoted. I would highly recommend MGT and would absolutely use them again (hopefully, not because the sump pump dies!!).

Quick work and very clean. Work done expertly. I had previously used his services for water heater flush etc and would definitely call him back for any other plumbing issue.

Scheduled appointment for A/C inspections before I even bought the big deal. Gretchen was very responsive. Tim spent well over an hour cleaning and trying to get the units working. The first unit turned out to be completely dead; he got the 2nd unit working, but it was very insufficient. We had just moved into the house this winter, and this was the first time we tried the AC units. Both units were from the late 1990s, so it's not surprising that they weren't good. Tim did a very thorough job. He also gave us pricing to replace both units.

There was a leak after but when I called they were prompt and fixed everything. They arrived on time and everything went well.
