He was very educational, he walked me through what he was doing, and he explained a lot of things that I didn't understand. I liked the fact that he didn't charge me anything additional, and I do believe I will call him on an annual basis to check my furnace. He came when he said he would.

They were excellent. The young man was perfect. I have not had heat in my kitchen since I've moved here because it's dense hot water baseboard heat and the line needed to be bled. I kept trying to get people to do it and it didn't work. It cost me an additional $40 but it was the best $40 I've ever spent and now I have heat in my kitchen.

Nice guy - cleaned up the unit. Did not inform me of a rusted part of the furnace that needed to be replaced. This may have been outside the scope of the deal I purchased - but I ended up getting someone else to come in and fix it.

It was good. The guy was a nice guy. He did a good job. I would probably use them again. It just seemed like he was honest and he did what he was supposed to do. The price wasn't too expensive.

It was great. We use MGT all the time. Tim was quick, clean, thorough, knowledgeable, and friendly as always. He was frank about the problem and did the best he could with a bad situation... In fact, he did GREAT with a bad situation. He even had me laughing at the situation which was a mess! We love MGT.

We purchased a deal in the middle of January and scheduled an appointment with them and we thought it was 1/25/14 and then they said it was supposed to be February 1 and then they did not show up at the scheduled time, we contacted them and there was no answer, they had emailed us and said they were backed up and could not make our appointment. It would have been much easier if they had called us and let us know so we did not waste our time waiting. An email was not sufficient. I understand there are emergency situations with the weather but I would have liked a call rather than assuming that we check our email regularly. They said they called us but we had no message and they have my husbands cell phone number because that was used to make the appointment. It has been three weeks now since we have purchased that deal. I am submitting a review hoping they will call and schedule an appointment and keep there end of the deal.

Thank you for your review. we have serviced your home on several occasions now. The issue is that your availability (usually on Fridays for 1 hour around 12PM) makes it EXTREMELY difficult to keep an appointment with you. I apologize for the inconvenience but we are trying our best to work with your schedule. we explained to your husband that it would be difficult, if not impossible to keep this time. we also have (2) units to perform a tune up on so we are then rushing to complete in the allotted time. this is not at all how we do business and hope that our concerns with the time are carefully considered or this will keep happening. thank you

We didn't get this service. Despite the fact that the deal was marketed to us, and Angie's List confirmed that MGT Service claims to serve our area, the company told us we were outside their service area. This was of course after we paid Angie's List for the deal they marketed, so I had to go through the refund process (which I had to do twice). IMO, if you market to someone, and you know they've gone through the payment process, you should actually perform the service.

I would of come out but you had already requested your refund and were obviously very upset so I didn't want to slow down the decision you had made. I had reserved expectations because many other reviews noted that they tend to cancel and reschedule, and that's never what a customer wants, of course. It happened to me too, but they did show up the next day and all went smoothly. Since I read the reviews I expected to be bumped at least once, so if you are flexible and can absorb some rescheduling it's not an issue. My husband was a plumber and I know emergency calls in that line of work are expected - we had heat so it didn't bother me to be bumped for a tune-up, but I admit I was happy I didn't get rescheduled a second time. I didn't have any issues with the message communications that others reported. Rather, they were quick to respond, actually and very professional and polite. I'd use MGT again for another tune-up and for service calls - Tim was pleasant, professional and the service went well. Thanks!

Tim showed up on time. Was very thorough with his tune up and explained in detail all that was going on with the unit. Provided great notes for future reference. Offered to give estimates on a new unit with different options and no pressure for future work. After getting carbon monoxide poisoning on the same day as my appointment, he called to make sure we were okay. Very conscientious about his work and cares for his customers.

MGT Service was very easy and pleasant to deal with, responsive and professional. No issues or problems to report - they had to reschedule once or twice, but they kept communication open and performed the service for us during an extremely cold week, when emergency calls made their schedule hectic and upredictable. We were very happy with them and would recommend.

In my business, if you're a no-show, you get an "F". Upon purchasing the Big Deal, I was in contact with MGT Service Heating & Air by email, and a date and time were set. The date came and went, and I have yet to receive service or any further contact from the provider. I do not feel that it was my place to contact the provider, as they were a no-show.

This was my first experience with a Big Deal. Vendor contacted me promptly (1/3, day after I paid) to schedule appointment. I was extremely satisfied with the time of the appointment. All communication was via email. I do not know with whom I was conversing, no identification beyond the company name was ever offered. Communication was prompt and polite. Contacted me on 1/5 to reschedule. Vendor offered me numerous inconvenient dates and times. Communication then became a bit more terse. I then checked all reviews and found several F and D ratings for non-contact or cancelling and not rescheduling. Apparently F ratings only hold weight if the vendor performs a service. F ratings for doing nothing don't hold as much weight. With several F and D ratings, this vendor still manages to be A rated and is advertised in the big deal as such. Very disconcerting. In an attempt at appeasement, the vendor informed me that the company was having problems with Angie's list message system. Angie's List reported no known problems. Vendor also told me that they get no money from Big Deals, just the opportunity to build business. Angie's list gets the money. Impressive that vendors would give away that much time and labor as some of those big deals are large ticket items! Ultimately, had the vendor not had several F ratings for cancelling or not responding already, I may have accepted the cancellation as something really did come up. With a previous history of this behavior, I felt it best to get a refund and be more careful in my selection process in the future.

Very responsive - same day service when heat went out. Pricing is very fair; seems to be a good value in that Tim knows what he is doing and does not charge an arm and a leg.

I never got any notice of a purchase and I don't get the money Angies List does. I contact customers immediately upon receipt of the purchase email. I'm not sure if your purchase went through but you should contact Angie's List directly and make sure.

I purchased a deal of the day to have my furnace serviced only to receive an email later saying they do not provide service in my area. Very unprofessional. They should have disclosed their limited service area BEFORE i made the purchase. Now I have to wait up to 2 weeks to get my $ back. Their office is less than 30 miles from my home; that's a VERY limited service area. MGT's response is very interesting considering that they say they only service Montgomery and Bucks counties and I live in montgomery county so why did they refuse to take my job???

Our deals are only supposed to go to Bucks and Montgomery County but I do not have control over how Angie's List post the deal and I have addressed this issue with them several times. I also have no control on how long it takes to get your money back as Angie's List is paid the money for this deal, we do not recieve the money. My service should be disclosed and thank you for bringing to my attention that it is reaching customers outside of our service area. I will do my best to have Angie's List correct this as it an ongoing issue. I am sorry that you have to wait to get your money back. Again we do not service Delaware County. only Montgomery and Bucks.

I purchased one of the Angie's list Big Deal for a Furnace tune up in September. I could not make the appointment until I confirmed with my employer that I could get the day off. We scheduled an appointment via e-mail weeks in advance and I took off from work. The day before the appointment I received a phone call that the appointment needed to be rescheduled. I understand that heating emergencies take precedence to my tune up so we rescheduled and again I took off from work. I received an e-mail two days before the new appointment that we needed to rescheduled again. I don't think so. I won't get the two days off from work back - but I asked for a refund from Angie's List. Thank You.

The service was fine. They really did a nice job. They were in and out. They were on time. Everything was quick and they were loyal. They have performed the work and I didn't have any problem getting them schedule, even though they were busy. This time around the year, it is a very popular service.

They were very hard to get a hold of and we just could not get any work scheduled. They were very unresponsive. Never spoke to anybody and decided to get a refund for the deal.

I am sorry that we are having such trouble getting in touch with each other. I have called several times since the deal was purchased and messaged you via the message center to get this scheduled. We seem to keep missing each other. Right now is a busy time for customers without heat which is why we like to get these scheduled earlier on (like in September when the deal was run). I do apologize and hope you will reconsider. When you reach the office after 4 and before 10am only emergency calls are returned. Again my apologies.
