I ordered the Angie's List Deal for a new water heater with installation and removal of old unit. Originally they wanted to schedule me for the week of the 24th but when I explained that I was without hot water, they offered to come out in a few days on a Saturday. They were very nice and kept me posted when they were going to be late for the original installation time. The workers were very nice and professional. No hidden charges when the work was done - I would definitely use them again!

If it weren't for the difficulty in setting up the appt would give him an A + as far as his work & attitude are concerned. Was delayed in getting to work & had to send in a substitute to fill in for me at work as it was very difficult to get him in for his appt

These guys are great. The work is excellent and well worth what it costs. The worker was friendly and did excellent work. I wish that I had more work for them.

NOTE: This is a follow up after a previous review. I wanted a whole heating season to pass before I made a final determination. I would never buy an "Angie's Special" again. This outfit did provide and install the promised humidifier, but installed it incorrectly. Without going into technical details, they tried to leave a necessary part out of the installation, only to save about 20 minutes of work and $15 for the part. I contacted Aprilaire, and they confirmed my suspicion that the way MGT told me to regulate the humidity level was absolutely incorrect. It needed an adjustment damper door, to regulate the flow of air past the water panel. MGT told me it was not necessary, I could perform this adjustment using the Winter/Summer damper door's position, (part of the humidifier). This door is either meant to totally open when in use, ("Winter" position), or totally closed when not in use ("Summer" position). Using this method, the house was dry and uncomfortable, the humidity level never rose above 26%, no matter where I positioned this door. My brother intalled an air adjustment damper door in the ductwork that fed the unit. Then, I was able to adjust the air flow properly, and can keep the unit's controller set at level 6, out of a possible maximum of 7. The humidity level is now 46%, when it is 30 degrees outside. The level can stay as high as 35%, even when the outside temp is a bone chilling 5 degrees. I informed MGT what needed to be done, sent them copies of the emails from the techs at Aprilaire, and even the part number of the air flow adjustment damper from Home Depot. Armed with all of this information, MGT showed up about a week later, totally unprepared to do the job. The attitude displayed by the MGT techs made me decide that they would no longer be needed. I bought the part, my brother installed it, and it has been working perfectly for an entire heating season. All of this to avoid cutting into an existing 6" wide piece of ductwork, and placing the adjustment damper inside, and sealing it back up with silver HVAC tape. Inexcusable, in my opinion. They never even offered to reimburse me for the part. Needless to say, I will not be using their services in the future.

Nothing happened as every time there was an agreed upon date for service, the provider never showed up or reached out to us. All communication was initiated by me.

It went good but I didn't know we had two systems so there was an additional $49 fee.

Provider asked for my name, address and phone number. Never called back. Poor communications = Poor performance

It took them a long time to get back to me; the toilet they were going to install is not of good quality after looking it up. They don’t respond in timely manner.

Tim arrived and performed the work, he also left recommendations for other services. The work was performed very well and Tim was nice as he explained what procedures he was performing.

On time, as promised. Furnace needs some work and they gave me the options and broke it down clearly. These people will not "spend your money" - they will give you options and the pros and cons of each. Top Notch

It went very well. Scheduling the appointment was very easy and they got right back to me. They had great conversation. The only thing that they didn’t do was call before they showed up.

This was a big deal opportunity for $59 for a service call. I purchased the Big Deal and was contacted immediately. The service call was arranged right away. The service man arrived, reviewed the problem and took care of it on the same day. So, I was very pleased with the work and the quick response.

The appointment was for 10am. My doorbell rang at 9:59. I selected the three hour deal. It took 5and 1/2 hrs. The worker went non-stop from time of arrival. The End result was an excellent job.

Gretchen from MGT emailed me the day I purchased to inform me that the deal is not for oil heat. She was very nice, and very prompt. If I could, I would use them.

They cancelled last minute so I no idea how qualified or competent their service is. I took the day off work for this. They told me that they didn't have enough technicians to get to me due to other emergencies that came up.

The technician, Tim did a super clean job and he knew exactly what he was doing. Did not waste any time and performed a great service. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone needing plumbing work

This is the second time I have used MGT. I was very satisfied the first time I used them and likewise this time. I called Gretchen, told her my problem. This was at eleven am. She said that she could have someone address the problem between one and two. Chris arrived at one, checked out the job, told us the price, and started to work. He finished in a couple of hours. You would never have known he was in our bathroom. No leaks. No dirt. GREAT JOB.

Did what they said they would do - great company

The finish of the toilet in our powder room had deteriorated to the point where I decided to replace it. I chose to buy the new toilet (Toto) on-line after much research. I then needed to find a plumber to install it. I bought the Big Deal offered by MGT Service for two hours of plumbing service for $99.00. I was aware of the highest-rated service designation MGT had earned and I wanted to be one of their satisfied customers. After good phone and e-mail communication with Gretchen in the office, Chris, the plumber, came out to the house to install the toilet today. Before coming into the house, he put on protective "booties" over his work shoes; at the work site he put down a runner to protect the floor. Signs of respect for my property. The job went pretty smoothly and after Chris finished the installation and cleaned up, I asked him to look at another job for future consideration. My experience with MGT was a good one and I will definitely use them again.

Very professional service and would recommend them highly for any plumbing work. Cleaned up after the work was completed and made sure everything was perfectly working.

Not much to say. It went just as expected/hoped. I was contacted quickly by MGT after I purchased the Angie's List deal. They scheduled the install for the following week. Arrived right within the 1hr arrival window that they gave me and did the install in just about an hour or two. All went well.

We had scheduled a service visit for Thursday 9/4/14 after purchasing a $99 for 2 hours of plumbing certificate, but unfortunately MGT had to reschedule. They rescheduled for Monday and that was fine with us because we thought it was only a small leak. It turned out the leak was much worse than originally thought. When I woke on Saturday morning the carpet outside the bathroom was wet. I made a call to MGT and left a message stating we needed someone to come out today if possible. Gretchen promptly returned my call and said she would have someone out by 3:00. Tim arrived around 3:00 and promptly addressed our concerns with the leak. He was quick to assess the situation and provide a temporary fix. He explained the issue and said he would have to replace the shower valve and faucet. He made some recommendations for a new shower kit and provided his cell number so I could text him a picture to make sure I purchased the correct parts. Amazingly he only charged $45 for this Saturday repair that he spent about an hour and a half fixing. He returned on Monday at our scheduled time of 5:00 pm to complete the work and allowed us to use the $99 certificate for it. The work actually took a bit longer than 2 hours but Tim did not charge us. Overall, the service we received was exemplary and we will not hesitate to recommend their company. We already have plans for Tim to install some shut off valves for both upstairs showers that he noticed the builder did not provide.

They were unable to provide the service because my water heater was the wrong type or to old. They were good about communicating it and I received a refund.
