The service turned out very well and I like them a lot. They have the most terrific selection that I have never seen. They were very pleasant and reasonably priced and I did a lot of shopping around. Their selection went from low in - to high end and they treated me very well.

When our 30-year-old washing machine broke, I went right to Angie's List and found Kieffers. All I knew was that I wanted an energy-efficient machine, I would have to get a smaller-than-average size because of the sharp corners and narrow basement doorway, and I wanted to spend as little time as possible trying to figure out which machine to buy. Kieffers was excellent. I called and told them the dimensions of the doorway and they recommended a couple of machines. Delivered and hauled the old machine away as efficiently and professionally as could be, even going so far as to break the old machine apart when it didn't fit up the narrow basement stairs. The price of the machine, because of its unusual size and energy efficiency, was high, but Kieffers' price was no higher than any other that I found on the internet, and the pleasant experience that I had with them and the driver/deliverymen was worth any minor extra cost. Will definitely call them again when my dryer breaks!

They had dozens of models in the showroom, and took the time to listen to how I use the dishwasher and what my priorities were (cost, noise, energy usage) before narrowing down the choices for me.  Provided all the information about rebates, and even ensured I had all the right documentation to submit for the manufacturer's and the utility's rebates.  They arranged delivery and installation through a third party, whom I paid $135.

Initial visit was easy, I picked out a few refrigerators, stove, microwave, dishwasher, range hood, all high end, and they gave me a breakdown of each with options. Since my work schedule is not very flexible, the sales person Katie was willing to work with me through email and cell phone exchange.

The delivery was scheduled and worked out between my contractor and myself and everything came on time.  The only problem was the refridgerator had a problem with a leak from the ice maker.  It took a while with scheduling a repair person to come out to check out the problem, then ordering parts, and installing.  So from the time the fridge was installed in November 2012 and I thought it was working again was two months.  After the first week after the repairs were done, the leak started again. More scheduling, more waiting for repair, and we finally had to replace the unit.  This second unit also had a defect with the ice maker, however it was noticed by the installers.  I was given the option of selecting a different refridgerator or getting another replacement of my original choice.

I decided to go for the same model, three times the charm, and it was perfect.  Although the fridge was an issue, it worked out in the end, I got what I wanted and the warrenty started with the third installation.  All the staff were extremely helpful, knowledgable and professional, even the delivery people.

My dishwasher stopped working, and I went into Kieffer's the next day (after having read Consumer Reports on dishwashers).  Initially, it was hard to get attention from anyone -- everyone there seemed to be working on the phones and no one seemed to have it as his or her responsibility to help people in the showroom.  But when I finally got attention, I got great attention, not just cursory.  I was asked a number of questions about my usage, whether I rinse or scrape the dishes before putting them in the dishwasher, whether I had hard water, my budget, etc.  We settled on a good Bosch model that had a rebate.  They prepared the rebate paperwork for me, which made it easy for me to get that money back.
They do not do the installation themselves, but arrange for someone to bring the dishwasher to my house and do the installation.  I paid that person separately.  He was prompt and did a great job - even leveling up the floor to accommodate the new dishwasher (the old one had apparently been propped up on loose lumber).

I bought a new Kitchenaid double wall oven from Kieffers on April 30, 2008. It was installed in early May. The oven never functioned properly and it took several weeks to figure out why it wasn't baking properly and why it was blowing out large amounts of hot air. The temperature in the oven is 50-100 degrees off and never really got over 375 even at higher settings. When I got a service company in on my own to look at it (with no help from Kieffers) they determined that the oven's sensor was bad and the convection fan did not work. I am awaiting parts and the company will have to rip the brand new oven out of my brand new cabinetry. I have repeatedly demanded a refund or exchange because this oven never even came close to working properly. Mr. Kieffer ignores my requests and I have never been given assistance in trying to obtain repairs either.

"Any issues the customer is having are fully covered under KitchenAid's warranty. After a product is used and installed and is not functioning properly, KitchenAid reserves the right to attempt to fix the issue. If they are unable to fix the problems after multiple attempts, they authorize the dealer to replace or refund the unit. We are unable to do either because KitchenAid has not authorized us to do this. If we are not given authorization from KitchenAid to replace the unit, we will not receive money from KitchenAid for doing so and will lose the $3,000 it would cost to give the customer a new unit. We strive to do everything in our power to satisfy our customers, but issues that have to do with manufactur's products working correctly have to be resolved directly through KitchenAid."
